The ARRMA Composite Rear Slider Driveshaft Set is an essential replacement component for owners of ARRMA's extensive range of 4x4 RC vehicles. Whether you're running a BIG ROCK, GRANITE, SENTON, VORTEKS, TYPHON, FURY, GORGON or QUAKE model, these precision-engineered driveshafts are designed to deliver reliable power transfer and exceptional durability through demanding off-road conditions. If you're serious about RC car performance in the UK, having quality replacement drivetrain components on hand is crucial for maintaining peak performance and minimising downtime during your racing sessions or weekend bashing adventures.
These rear composite slider driveshafts provide the ideal replacement parts for your kit-supplied items, ensuring that you can keep your ready-to-run RC monster truck, stadium truck, short course truck or buggy performing at its best. The set comes pre-assembled and ready to install, meaning you won't need to spend hours fiddling with complex assembly instructions. Whether you're upgrading worn components or simply keeping spares in your toolbox, this is a genuine ARRMA component that meets the exact specifications your vehicle was engineered for.
Trusted by RC enthusiasts across the UK and internationally, ARRMA's driveshaft technology has proven itself in competitive racing, backyard bashers and everything in between. The composite construction offers a perfect balance between weight, strength and cost-effectiveness, making these components suitable for both casual drivers and serious hobbyists looking to maintain their investment in quality RC equipment.
Key Features
- Tough Composite Material — The driveshaft bodies are manufactured from composite material that provides exceptional durability whilst remaining lightweight, allowing your RC vehicle to maintain optimal performance without adding unnecessary rotational mass that would slow acceleration and top speed.
- Precision Moulded Slider Driveshafts — Each driveshaft is precision moulded to exact tolerances, ensuring perfectly smooth power transfer from the transmission to the rear wheels with minimal friction losses and vibration during acceleration and cornering.
- High-Quality Steel Cross Pins — The universal joint cross pins are manufactured from hardened steel, providing dependable operation under extreme loads and delivering the reliability you need during intense off-road driving, competitive racing or high-speed bashings.
- Pre-Assembled for Fast Installation — Unlike some aftermarket driveshaft kits that require complex assembly and setup, these components arrive fully assembled and ready to bolt straight onto your vehicle, meaning you can get back to driving within minutes rather than hours.
- Factory-Spec Replacement Parts — These are genuine ARRMA components engineered to the same specifications as the original parts included with your vehicle, ensuring perfect fitment and performance that matches your RC car's factory design.
- Rear Axle Specific — These driveshafts are specifically designed for rear axle fitment on 4x4 models, ensuring compatibility with the dual rear motor and dual rear axle configuration found on ARRMA's high-performance 4WD vehicles.
Technical Performance
The ARRMA Composite Rear Slider Driveshaft Set represents years of development and real-world testing across multiple vehicle platforms. The composite material selection is critical to performance — composite offers superior durability compared to plastic alone, yet remains more cost-effective than full aluminium driveshafts. The precision moulding process ensures that each driveshaft maintains consistent dimensions across the entire production run, eliminating the wobble and vibration associated with poorly manufactured components. The steel cross pins in the universal joints are precision-engineered to handle the torque multiplication that occurs in the rear axle, particularly important when running brushless motors with high-torque LiPo batteries. The slider design allows the driveshaft to extend and compress slightly, accommodating suspension movement during compression and rebound without binding or creating unwanted forces on the transmission. This is particularly important for 1/8 scale buggies like the TYPHON which experience large suspension travel, and 1/10 scale trucks like the GRANITE and SENTON that see significant impacts during aggressive driving. The pre-assembled configuration means the universal joints are already properly lubricated and secured, so installation is simply a matter of removing your old driveshafts and sliding the new ones into place.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Which ARRMA RC cars is this driveshaft set compatible with? — The ARRMA Composite Rear Slider Driveshaft Set (AR310864) is compatible with an extensive range of ARRMA's 4x4 models, including the BIG ROCK 223S and 3S models, GRANITE 223S, 3S, and brushed variants, SENTON 223S, 3S and brushed models, VORTEKS 223S, 3S and brushed stadium trucks, TYPHON 223S, 3S and brushed buggies, as well as the FURY 223S short course truck, GORGON brushed monster trucks, and QUAKE 223S monster truck. Check the comprehensive compatibility list on the product page to confirm your specific model is supported.
- Are these driveshafts suitable for stock vehicles or upgraded racing setups? — These composite driveshafts are designed as factory-spec replacement parts, making them ideal for stock vehicles and modest upgrades. However, if you're running extremely high-torque brushless setups with 4S or higher LiPo batteries in competitive racing environments, you may eventually want to explore full aluminium driveshaft options for ultimate durability. For the vast majority of UK RC enthusiasts, these composite units will provide years of reliable service.
- How easy are these to install compared to other driveshaft options? — Installation is extremely straightforward since these components arrive completely pre-assembled. Unlike some cheaper alternatives that require you to press cross pins, apply grease and secure everything yourself, you simply remove your old driveshafts by unbolting them from the transmission and rear axle, then slide the new ones into place. This typically takes less than 5 minutes per side, making it an ideal upgrade during routine maintenance or when replacing worn components.
- What is the difference between these composite driveshafts and full aluminium options? — Composite driveshafts like this set offer an excellent balance of durability, weight and cost. They're significantly cheaper than full aluminium driveshafts, yet much stronger than basic plastic components. Aluminium driveshafts are typically found on ultra-high-performance competition buggies and trucks where every gram and fraction of a second matters. For recreational bashers, stock racers, and most UK hobby drivers, the composite construction provides all the durability and performance you'll realistically need.
- How often will I need to replace my driveshafts? — With proper maintenance and normal recreational use, these driveshafts should last for many months or even years. High-speed bashing, impacts with obstacles, or extremely aggressive driving will accelerate wear. When you notice vibration during acceleration, clicking sounds during cornering, or loss of power transfer, it's time to replace them. Keeping a spare set in your toolbox means you can get right back to driving whilst your worn set is being replaced.
- Can I use these on 2WD ARRMA models? — No, these are specifically designed for 4x4 vehicles. ARRMA's 2WD models like the FURY 2WD, VORTEKS 2WD and SENTON BOOST 2WD require different driveshaft configurations optimised for single rear motor setups. Always confirm your vehicle's drive system before ordering.
