Overview

The Traxxas Ball bearings, Blue rubber sealed (4x8x3mm) (2 pcs) TRX7019 are precision-engineered replacement bearings designed to enhance the performance and longevity of your RC car. These blue-seal ball bearings are an essential maintenance and upgrade component for RC enthusiasts across the UK who demand smooth, friction-free operation. Whether you're running a ready to run RC car or a high-performance competition machine, these bearings offer a significant improvement over standard bushings, delivering reduced friction, enhanced precision, and a smoother driving experience that serious RC hobbyists rely on.

Blue-seal ball bearings keep dust and grime out of critical components, which is especially important if you regularly bash your RC car outdoors or run it in dirty environments. The sealed design means less frequent maintenance is required compared to unsealed bearings, allowing you to spend more time driving and less time cleaning and servicing. These replacement bearings are perfect for upgrading worn or damaged stock bearings, or for swapping out bushings on older RC vehicles to unlock their full potential. For any RC car UK enthusiast looking to improve performance and reduce maintenance burden, these Traxxas genuine replacement parts are an excellent investment.

At just 4x8x3mm in size, these bearings fit a wide range of Traxxas models and compatible RC applications. The pack of two allows you to upgrade a pair of components simultaneously, making this an ideal choice for maintaining your RC car's drivetrain or suspension system. Traxxas is a world-renowned manufacturer of high-quality RC cars and parts, and these bearings are manufactured to the same exacting standards that have made Traxxas a trusted name in the hobby for decades. Upgrade your RC experience today with genuine Traxxas performance components.

Key Features

  • Blue Rubber Seal Design — The protective rubber seals on these bearings form a barrier against dust, dirt, grime and moisture, keeping contamination out of the bearing races and maintaining smooth operation even in challenging outdoor conditions and dirty environments.
  • Reduced Friction Performance — Precision ball bearings dramatically reduce friction compared to traditional bushings, resulting in smoother acceleration, better handling response, and more efficient power delivery from your motor to the wheels and drivetrain.
  • Enhanced Precision and Accuracy — Ball bearings offer superior geometric precision compared to bushings, which translates to tighter tolerances, better alignment of moving parts, and improved overall handling characteristics and predictability on the track or trail.
  • Lower Maintenance Requirements — The sealed design significantly reduces the frequency of maintenance needed, as the rubber seals keep out the elements and contaminants that would otherwise require regular cleaning and re-lubrication of unsealed bearings.
  • Extended Component Lifespan — By reducing friction and protecting against contamination, these bearings help extend the operational life of your drivetrain and suspension components, ultimately saving you money on replacements and repairs.
  • Direct OEM Replacement — These are genuine Traxxas replacement bearings designed specifically for Traxxas RC vehicles, ensuring perfect compatibility and fit without any modification or adaptation required.
  • Pack of Two Units — With two bearings included, you can upgrade a complete axle or suspension component pair, making this a practical and convenient service part for owners maintaining their RC cars.

Technical Performance

The Traxxas TRX7019 ball bearings represent a significant engineering upgrade over stock bushings found in many RC cars. Measuring exactly 4x8x3mm, these bearings are manufactured to precise tolerances to ensure smooth, consistent rotation with minimal radial and axial play. The blue rubber seal is specifically formulated to provide optimal protection against the ingress of dust, moisture and debris whilst maintaining adequate breathability to prevent internal condensation. This sealed design is particularly beneficial for RC car UK owners who regularly drive in muddy, sandy or wet conditions, as the environmental protection keeps internal bearing surfaces clean and properly lubricated. The ball bearing construction utilises hardened steel races and balls, providing exceptional durability and resistance to the high rotational speeds and lateral forces typical of RC car operation. Compared to traditional brass or polymer bushings, ball bearings deliver substantially lower friction coefficients, which translates to less drag on your RC car's drivetrain, more efficient power transmission, and noticeably smoother steering response. For competition-grade RC drivers or serious hobbyists seeking to optimise their vehicle's performance, upgrading from bushings to quality ball bearings like these is one of the most effective and cost-efficient modifications available. The sealed design also means your bearings stay cleaner longer, reducing the need for frequent bearing cleaning and re-packing, which is essential maintenance for brushless RC cars and other high-performance setups running on 3S or higher LiPo batteries.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the difference between blue-seal and unsealed ball bearings for RC cars? — Blue-seal bearings feature protective rubber seals on both sides that prevent dust, dirt, moisture and grime from entering the bearing races, whereas unsealed bearings offer no protection. This makes sealed bearings ideal for outdoor use and dirty environments, as they require significantly less frequent maintenance and cleaning. However, unsealed bearings can spin slightly faster due to slightly less drag, though in practical RC car use, the performance difference is negligible compared to the maintenance benefits of sealed bearings.
  • Are Traxxas ball bearings suitable for all RC cars or only Traxxas models? — Whilst these bearings are genuinely manufactured by Traxxas and optimised for Traxxas vehicles, the 4x8x3mm size is a common bearing specification used in many RC cars and RC trucks from various manufacturers. You should verify that your specific RC car model uses 4x8x3mm bearings before purchasing. Always consult your vehicle's manual or contact the manufacturer to confirm compatibility before installation.
  • How do I install these bearings in my RC car? — Installation typically involves removing the old bushings or bearings from your RC car's axles, hubs, transmission shafts or suspension components, then pressing the new ball bearings into place. The exact procedure varies depending on your specific RC model and which components you are upgrading. Refer to your vehicle's manual or online guides for your particular RC car model, as improper installation can result in damage to the bearings or your vehicle.
  • How often do I need to maintain or replace these sealed bearings? — Sealed ball bearings require significantly less maintenance than unsealed alternatives. Under normal use, you may not need to service them at all during their operational lifetime. However, if you notice grinding sounds, increased drag, or play in the bearing, it is time to replace them. Regular inspection during routine RC car maintenance is recommended, especially if you frequently bash in dusty or wet environments.
  • What is the advantage of upgrading from bushings to ball bearings on an RC car? — Ball bearings reduce friction dramatically compared to traditional bushings, which results in smoother operation, reduced power loss, improved acceleration response, better handling precision, and more efficient motor power delivery. Additionally, ball bearings offer better protection against lateral play and maintain tighter tolerances, which translates to improved steering accuracy and overall vehicle control.
  • Can I mix ball bearings and bushings in my RC car? — Whilst technically possible, it is not recommended to mix ball bearings and bushings on the same axle or component, as they have different friction characteristics and precision tolerances. This mismatch can result in uneven wear, inconsistent handling characteristics, and premature failure of one or both components. For best results, upgrade all bearings on a given component simultaneously.
