Technical Performance
The ARRMA Dogbone 116mm represents the engineering excellence that ARRMA brings to its component manufacturing. Built from super-strong steel, this drivetrain component is engineered to handle the immense power delivery of modern 6S LiPo brushless systems. When you're running a high-performance vehicle like the 1/8 scale Kraton 6S brushless speed truck or the 1/7 Fireteam 6S brushless buggy, the dogbone must transmit enormous amounts of rotational force with absolute precision and zero flex. ARRMA's precision manufacturing process ensures that this component meets the exact dimensional tolerances required for perfect fitment with differential outdrives. The included drive pins are specifically designed to create a secure, locked connection that prevents slipping under acceleration. This is particularly important for vehicles designed for high-speed running or aggressive stunt driving, where any looseness in the drivetrain would result in loss of power delivery and potential component failure. The 116mm length specification is critical—it's not arbitrary but rather engineered to match ARRMA's drivetrain geometry perfectly, ensuring proper suspension geometry, weight distribution, and overall vehicle handling characteristics remain unchanged when you perform a replacement. For competitive RC racing and serious weekend bashing with brushless RC vehicles, having quality drivetrain components like this dogbone is non-negotiable.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What ARRMA models is this dogbone compatible with? — This 116mm dogbone is compatible with a wide range of ARRMA 6S vehicles including the 1/7 Fireteam 6S 4x4 RTR brushless buggy, 1/7 Limitless 6S 4x4 roller, and numerous 1/8 scale models including the Kraton 6S, Notorious 6S, Outcast 6S, Talion 6S, and Typhon 6S in various versions. Check the manufacturer fitment list to confirm compatibility with your specific model variant.
- Is this a genuine ARRMA part or an aftermarket replacement? — This is an official ARRMA component part manufactured to factory specifications. The ARRMA part number is AR310472, which guarantees you're getting the exact same quality and specification as used in factory-assembled ready to run RC vehicles.
- Why would I need to replace my dogbone? — Dogbones are critical drivetrain components subject to significant stress during driving. They may require replacement after heavy use, impact damage, or normal wear and tear. If you notice vibration, clicking sounds, or loss of drivetrain engagement, a worn or damaged dogbone may be the cause.
- How difficult is it to install a replacement dogbone? — Installation difficulty depends on your specific vehicle model, but generally involves removing the old dogbone from the differential outdrives and installing the new one with the included drive pins. Most RC enthusiasts can complete this replacement in 15-30 minutes with basic tools. Consult your ARRMA vehicle manual for specific installation instructions for your model.
- What is the difference between this and other aftermarket dogbones? — ARRMA's official dogbone is precision-manufactured to exact factory specifications, ensuring perfect fitment and optimal performance. The included drive pins are specifically engineered for ARRMA's differential design. Budget aftermarket alternatives may have loose tolerances leading to play in the drivetrain or fit issues.
- Can this dogbone be used with other RC vehicle brands? — No, this dogbone is specifically engineered for ARRMA's drivetrain system. Using it with other brands would result in poor fitment and potential component failure. Always use brand-specific replacement parts.
