Overview

The ARRMA KRATON6SBEARING Quality Replacement Bearing Set For Kraton 6S BLX is an essential maintenance component for RC enthusiasts across the UK who demand peak performance from their brushless RC vehicles. Whether you operate a Kraton 6S, OutCast 6S, Notorious 6S, Talion 6S, Typhon 6S, or any of the numerous compatible ARRMA models listed below, this comprehensive bearing kit ensures your RC car UK setup maintains ultra-smooth operation in all conditions. As a dedicated RC car enthusiast, you understand that quality replacement parts are crucial to keeping your ready to run RC truck performing at its best, and these genuine ARRMA bearings are manufactured to the highest standards for reliability and longevity.

This full bearing kit contains 22 individual precision-engineered ball bearings that collectively address every pivot point throughout your 1/8 scale brushless RC speed truck or stunt vehicle. The combination of premium materials, rubber sealing, and consistent manufacturing tolerances means you get predictable performance whether you're bashing on weekends or competing at your local RC track. With proper maintenance and regular bearing replacement, your ARRMA vehicle will continue to deliver the responsive handling and raw speed that makes these trucks legendary in the RC community.

RC Model Shop supplies this bearing set as part of our commitment to keeping your RC hobby running smoothly. We stock genuine ARRMA parts because we know that cutting corners on drivetrain components compromises both performance and the longevity of your investment. If you've noticed increased drag, grinding sounds from your vehicle's suspension or drivetrain, or simply want to perform preventative maintenance before your next big bash session, this bearing set gives you everything needed for a complete drivetrain refresh.

Key Features

  • Premium Ball-Raced Bearings — These high-quality rubber shielded ball bearings deliver ultra-smooth operation across all driving conditions, ensuring your RC truck maintains responsive handling whether you're racing on asphalt, bashing through grass, or tackling muddy terrain.
  • Rubber Shield Protection — Each bearing features robust rubber shields that create a protective barrier against the elements, keeping dirt, water, and dust out whilst maintaining proper lubrication inside, which dramatically reduces maintenance intervals and extends bearing life.
  • Precision Manufactured Tolerances — Every bearing is manufactured to consistent specification, guaranteeing fast and easy installation without gaps or play that could compromise vehicle handling and introduce unpredictable behaviour during high-speed runs.
  • Safe and Secure Assembly — The manufactured tolerances ensure that each bearing fits perfectly into its designated location, creating a secure assembly that will not rattle loose or shift during aggressive acceleration, braking, or cornering manoeuvres.
  • Complete 22-Bearing Set — This comprehensive kit includes all bearings necessary for a complete drivetrain overhaul, eliminating the need to source individual bearings from multiple suppliers and ensuring compatibility across your entire ARRMA 6S platform.
  • Reduced Maintenance Time — The rubber sealing keeps lubrication where it belongs and contaminants where they don't, meaning more time spent bashing and enjoying your RC experience and less time wrenching on bearings.
  • Multiple Size Options — The kit includes various bearing dimensions (5x11x4mm, 6x10x3mm, 8x19x6mm, 8x16x5mm, and 15x21x4mm) to address every suspension, differential, and drivetrain pivot point on your vehicle.

Technical Performance

The ARRMA KRATON6SBEARING bearing set is engineered specifically for the demands of high-performance brushless RC vehicles operating at the 6S LiPo power level. These precision ball bearings represent the critical interface between your vehicle's drivetrain components, suspension arms, and rotating shafts—areas where friction directly impacts acceleration, top speed, and handling response. The rubber sealing is particularly important for UK RC enthusiasts who bash in variable weather conditions, as it prevents water ingress and mud contamination that would otherwise accelerate bearing degradation. The 8x16x5mm bearings (supplied as 10 units in this set) are among the most frequently replaced components, as they experience constant rotational stress in the suspension and drivetrain. The inclusion of 15x21x4mm bearings addresses the larger differential and main drive components, whilst the 6x10x3mm and 5x11x4mm bearings handle secondary transmission and steering pivot applications. Manufacturing consistency ensures that when you install these bearings, your vehicle will exhibit predictable, repeatable handling characteristics across multiple runs and different track layouts. For competitive RC racers, fresh bearings can measurably improve lap times by reducing rolling resistance and eliminating the play that accumulates with worn originals.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Which ARRMA models are compatible with the KRATON6SBEARING bearing set? — This bearing set is compatible with an extensive range of ARRMA 6S and larger vehicles, including but not limited to the 1/8 Kraton 6S 4x4 RTR (all variants), OutCast 6S 4x4 RTR, Notorious 6S 4x4 RTR, Talion 6S 4x4 RTR, Typhon 6S 4x4 RTR, Senton 6S variants, and numerous 1/7 scale models including the Big Rock 6S, Felony 6S, Infraction 6S, Limitless 6S, and Mojave 6S. Consult the comprehensive fitment list in the manufacturer specifications to confirm compatibility with your specific model variant.
  • How often should I replace bearings on my RC truck? — Bearing replacement frequency depends on usage intensity and environmental conditions. Weekend bashers might replace bearings annually, whilst competitive racers often refresh them every few months or even between major events. Signs you need replacement include grinding noises, increased drag, or visible dust around bearing areas despite rubber seals. Preventative replacement before problems emerge ensures consistent performance and prevents catastrophic drivetrain failure during important races or events.
  • What is the difference between rubber sealed and metal shielded bearings? — This set features rubber seals (2RS specification), which offer superior protection against water and mud ingress—ideal for UK bashers operating in variable weather. Rubber seals are slightly more forgiving if bearings become slightly contaminated, whereas metal shields provide marginally lower drag for pure racing applications but offer less environmental protection. For most UK RC car users, the rubber sealed option delivers the best balance of protection and performance.
  • Can I install these bearings myself or do I need a professional? — Bearing replacement is well within the capabilities of most RC enthusiasts with basic tools and mechanical aptitude. You'll need suspension wrenches, a screwdriver set, and possibly a bearing press or puller depending on how tightly your vehicle's original bearings were installed. If you're uncertain about the process, RC Model Shop staff can provide guidance, or many local RC clubs and shops offer bearing replacement services. Installation typically takes 1-2 hours depending on your experience level.
  • Are these metal shielded or rubber sealed bearings? — The KRATON6SBEARING set features rubber sealed 2RS bearings, particularly for the critical 8x16x5mm size. The rubber seals provide excellent protection against the elements whilst maintaining the smooth operation essential for high-performance RC vehicles, making them ideal for the unpredictable British weather conditions that challenge RC bashers.
  • What performance improvement will I see from fresh bearings? — Worn bearings create measurable drag through increased rolling resistance and friction. Replacing them with fresh precision bearings typically results in smoother acceleration, improved handling response, slightly higher top speeds, and more consistent lap times. The difference is most noticeable if your vehicle's original bearings have accumulated significant mileage or contamination. Fresh bearings also reduce the mechanical wear on your motor and ESC by lowering the overall load on your drivetrain.
