Overview
If you're serious about high-speed rock racing or RECON G6 Challenge style events with your Axial Wraith, the Axial Wraith Sway Bar Kit Rear (Soft, Medium, Firm) Z-AX30782 is the option part you've been waiting for. Whether you're a competitive racer looking to fine-tune your setup or an enthusiast wanting to improve your RC car UK performance, this rear sway bar kit delivers the precision engineering and adjustability that separates winning setups from average builds. Designed specifically for high-speed competition, this system allows you to soften your suspension for jumps whilst keeping torque twist and body lean to a minimum during acceleration—exactly what you need when every millisecond counts.
The Axial Wraith Sway Bar Kit Rear is a must-have upgrade for any would-be rock racer looking to take their performance to the next level. A sway bar's main function is to control body roll, yet still allow your shocks to move vertically with the changing terrain. This means more stability at high speed, better handling through technical sections, and the confidence to push your Wraith harder than ever before. The rear kit works in conjunction with suspension articulation to give you maximum control over how your chassis responds to bumps, jumps, and aggressive cornering. When paired with a properly tuned front sway bar and suspension setup, this rear kit becomes an essential part of any competitive ready to run RC crawler or rock racer configuration.
RC Model Shop stocks genuine Axial parts for UK customers who demand quality and authenticity. This is not a budget alternative—it's a precision-engineered component designed and manufactured by Axial, the leaders in rock crawling and high-speed RC vehicle technology. The rear sway bar kit is built to the same exacting standards as the rest of your Wraith chassis, ensuring compatibility, durability, and performance that will last season after season of intense use.
Key Features
- Three interchangeable sway bars (Soft, Medium, Firm) — This kit includes three different steel sway bars for fine-tuning body roll and suspension articulation, allowing you to dial in the perfect setup for your specific driving style, terrain conditions, and racing format. Rather than being locked into one spring rate, you can experiment with different bars and find the sweet spot that gives you maximum grip and stability.
- CNC machined precision engineering — Every component in this sway bar kit is CNC machined for absolute precision, ensuring perfect fitment and consistent performance. This level of manufacturing accuracy means tighter tolerances, better alignment, and more predictable handling characteristics that will improve your lap times and overall control.
- Black anodized aluminium sway bar arms — The sway bar arms are constructed from high-quality aluminium and finished with black anodize coating, providing both strength and corrosion resistance. Aluminium is the ideal material for this application because it offers excellent strength-to-weight ratio, meaning you get the stiffness needed for precise handling without adding unnecessary weight to your RC car.
- Laser-etched Axial branding — Professional laser-etched Axial logos add a touch of authenticity and quality finish that shows this is genuine Axial manufacturing, not an aftermarket clone or budget alternative.
- All required hardware included — Everything you need to install this rear sway bar kit comes in the box. No hunting around for hard-to-find fasteners or making trips back to the hobby shop. This complete kit approach means you can upgrade your suspension system without delays or frustration.
- Simple bolt-on application — Installation is straightforward and doesn't require extensive modifications to your Wraith chassis. Even if you're not an experienced RC mechanic, you should be able to fit this rear sway bar kit in under an hour with basic hand tools. This accessibility means you can experiment with different setups and make adjustments at the track.
- Rear-specific design — This is a dedicated rear sway bar kit, engineered specifically for the rear suspension geometry of the Axial Wraith. The front kit (sold separately) is available for complete suspension tuning, allowing you to balance front and rear roll characteristics for optimal handling.
Technical Performance
The Axial Wraith Sway Bar Kit Rear represents serious suspension engineering designed for high-speed rock racing and competitive crawling events. Built from premium materials with CNC machining precision, this kit delivers the adjustability serious competitors demand. The inclusion of three different steel sway bars—soft, medium, and firm—gives you granular control over your vehicle's roll characteristics across a range of driving conditions. Soft bars allow maximum suspension articulation and are ideal for technical rock crawling where you need every inch of wheel travel and compliance over obstacles. Medium bars offer a balance between articulation and stability, making them suitable for mixed terrain and general rock racing. Firm bars maximise stability at high speed and during aggressive acceleration, keeping body lean minimal and maintaining predictable handling when pushing the limits. The black anodized aluminium arms ensure durability without weight penalty, critical when trying to maintain your Wraith's agility and responsiveness. The complete bolt-on system means no fabrication or modification required—this is professional-grade suspension tuning that works right out of the box. Whether you're running in RECON G6 Challenge events or casual rock racing, this rear sway bar kit gives you the tools to fine-tune your setup and unlock your Wraith's true potential.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the purpose of a sway bar on my RC Wraith crawler? — A sway bar (also called an anti-roll bar) controls body roll during cornering and acceleration whilst still allowing your shocks to move vertically independently. This means your suspension can handle bumpy terrain and obstacles without losing traction, whilst the sway bar prevents your chassis from tilting excessively, which would reduce ground contact and stability. On high-speed rock racers, this translates directly to faster lap times and more predictable handling.
- Do I need both the front and rear sway bar kits for my Wraith? — Whilst the front and rear kits can be purchased separately, many serious competitors use both for complete suspension tuning. The front kit (model Z-AX30781) and this rear kit work together to balance your vehicle's handling characteristics. You can start with just the rear kit if you prefer, but combining both allows you to dial in the exact roll balance you want.
- Which sway bar hardness should I start with—soft, medium, or firm? — Most users start with the medium bar as a baseline, as it provides balanced roll control for general rock racing. If your Wraith feels unstable or wallowy at high speed, try the firm bar. If you need more suspension compliance over obstacles and more articulation, try the soft bar. The beauty of this three-bar kit is you can test different setups at the track and find what works best for your terrain and driving style.
- Is this suitable for beginners? — Whilst this is an option upgrade part rather than something beginners typically start with, installation is straightforward enough for RC enthusiasts with basic mechanical skills. However, this kit is really designed for drivers who already understand suspension tuning and want to optimise their rock racing setup. Beginners should focus on mastering driving technique first before investing in suspension tuning.
- How does this improve my rock racing performance? — Sway bars are essential for high-speed rock racing because they stabilise your chassis during acceleration and cornering. By reducing body lean and roll, your tyres maintain more consistent contact with the ground, giving you better traction and control. Less body movement also makes your Wraith more predictable and easier to drive fast. This is why every competitive rock racer uses sway bars front and rear.
- Will this kit work with my standard Wraith chassis? — Yes, this rear sway bar kit is designed as a bolt-on upgrade for the Axial Wraith platform. It's not compatible with other Axial models like the SCX6 or EXO, but it will work with any standard Wraith chassis. The simple bolt-on design means no modification required.
