Key Features
- 3S LiPo Chemistry (11.1V) — The three-cell configuration delivers 11.1 volts of nominal power, which is the industry standard for countless RC models, ensuring broad compatibility with existing RC equipment and chargers across the UK market.
- 2200mAh Capacity — This mid-range capacity provides a practical balance between runtime and overall battery weight, allowing you to enjoy extended operating sessions without excessive bulk or strain on your RC model's weight distribution.
- 30C Continuous Discharge Rating — The 30C rating means this battery can safely discharge at 66 amps continuously (2200mAh × 30C = 66A), delivering responsive acceleration and reliable power for demanding RC applications, whether you're performing aerobatic manoeuvres or high-speed runs.
- Deans (HCT) Connector — This industry-standard connector ensures compatibility with the vast majority of RC equipment, ESCs (electronic speed controllers), and chargers available throughout the UK, eliminating the need for expensive adapters or modifications.
- Compact Dimensions — Measuring 103mm length, 33mm width, and 23mm height, this battery fits into tight spaces within RC models where space is at a premium, maintaining low centre of gravity and optimal weight distribution for superior handling.
- Lightweight Construction — At just 162 grams, this battery minimises the parasitic weight that would otherwise reduce performance, flight time efficiency, and overall agility in your RC vehicle or aircraft.
- Reliable Performance — Radient batteries are engineered for consistency and durability, providing reliable power output across multiple charge cycles, making this an excellent investment for regular RC hobby use.
- Age Recommendation 14+ — This product is recommended for users aged 14 and above, reflecting the need for responsible handling of lithium polymer batteries and proper charging practices.
Technical Performance
The Radient LiPo 3S 2200mAh battery represents a carefully engineered balance of performance parameters designed for real-world RC applications. The 30C discharge rating indicates that this battery can deliver sustained high amperage output, calculated at approximately 66 amps at continuous discharge, making it suitable for electric RC models requiring responsive acceleration and consistent power delivery. The 11.1V nominal voltage (3 cells × 3.7V per cell) is the established standard for countless RC platforms including electric RC cars, RC helicopters, and fixed-wing aircraft available throughout the UK hobby market. The relatively compact physical dimensions of 103mm × 33mm × 23mm allow installation in models where space optimisation is critical, whilst the 162-gram weight ensures that battery mass does not excessively compromise your RC model's performance characteristics, acceleration response, or handling dynamics. LiPo technology offers superior energy density compared to older nickel-based battery chemistries, meaning you get more usable power per gram of weight — a critical advantage in competitive and casual RC flying and driving. The Deans (HCT) connector standard ensures that charging, discharging, and installation operations remain straightforward and compatible with the majority of RC equipment already in circulation, eliminating compatibility headaches and allowing you to focus on enjoying your hobby rather than sourcing adapters or modification components.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is the Radient 3S 2200mAh LiPo battery suitable for my RC car or aircraft? — This battery is compatible with any RC model designed to accept 3S LiPo batteries with 11.1V nominal voltage and equipped with a Deans (HCT) connector. Check your RC vehicle's manual or product specifications to confirm compatibility. Many popular electric RC cars, RC helicopters, and fixed-wing aircraft in the UK market use this exact battery specification.
- What does the 30C discharge rating mean and why does it matter? — The 30C rating indicates the maximum continuous safe discharge rate. Multiplied by capacity (30 × 2200mAh = 66 amps), this tells you the battery can deliver up to 66 amps continuously without damage. A higher C rating allows faster acceleration and more responsive performance, making this 30C battery suitable for sporty driving and flying, not just casual leisurely use.
- How long will this battery last on a single charge? — Runtime depends entirely on your RC model's motor, ESC settings, driving style, and load conditions. Typical runtime ranges from 15 to 45 minutes for RC cars and 10 to 25 minutes for RC helicopters, though aggressive driving or acrobatic flying will reduce this duration considerably.
- Is this battery suitable for beginners in RC hobby? — Yes, this Radient battery is suitable for RC beginners aged 14 and above. The 2200mAh capacity provides practical flight or run times for learning, whilst the 30C rating offers enough performance for recreational use. However, you must follow proper LiPo safety practices including charging with a LiPo-compatible charger and storing safely in a LiPo bag.
- What charger do I need for this battery? — You need a LiPo-compatible battery charger that can balance-charge 3S packs and has a Deans (HCT) connector input, or a universal charger with an appropriate Deans adapter cable. Many UK RC retailers stock LiPo chargers designed specifically for this purpose.
- Why is the Deans connector important? — The Deans (HCT) connector is an industry-standard connector found on virtually all RC equipment and chargers throughout the UK market. This ensures your battery works seamlessly with existing RC gear without requiring adapters or modifications, saving time and money.
- How should I store this battery safely? — Store your Radient LiPo battery in a dedicated LiPo safety bag or metal container, in a cool dry place, at partial charge (around 3.85V per cell or 11.55V for 3S). Never leave LiPo batteries fully charged or fully discharged for extended periods, and always follow the manufacturer's safety guidance.
- What is the difference between this 30C battery and a 50C or 100C battery? — The C rating indicates discharge capability. Higher C-rated batteries (50C, 100C) can deliver more current continuously, resulting in snappier acceleration for high-performance racing and aerobatic flying. The 30C rating in this battery provides excellent responsive performance for everyday RC use without the premium pricing of ultra-high C-rated packs, making it outstanding value for money.
