250-Model Memory
The enormous capacity of the DX6e's on-board memory means you will rarely, if ever, need to juggle models between transmitter memory and your SD card. The model memory menu is easy to navigate too. Only memory slots with model settings saved to them will appear. You won't have to scroll through empty slots or move models around if one is deleted.
Built-In Telemetry
The built-in telemetry feature can give you real-time information on things like battery voltage, signal quality, motor temperature and more.* You can also program alerts that let you know when specific telemetry values reach or exceed limits you define.
* Requires telemetry sensors and a telemetry-enabled receiver.
Wireless Trainer Link
The wireless trainer link gives instructors the option to wirelessly ''buddy box'' with another DSMX/DSM2® transmitter. Once bound to another transmitter, ModelMatchT technology will allow the DX6e to re-link without having to go through the bind process again.
Patent-Pending Gimbal Design
The DX6e's patent-pending gimbal design lets you change gimbal spring configurations simply by moving a slider switch on the back of the transmitter. No tools are required. Just select the spring configuration that matches the mode you are using and model type you are flying. That's it.
There are four spring configurations to choose from:
- Normal Throttle for Modes 2 and 4 (Air, Heli and Sailplane Model Types)
- Spring-Centered Throttle for Modes 2 and 4 (Multirotor Model Type)
- Spring-Centered Throttle for Modes 1 and 3 (Multirotor Model Type)
- Normal Throttle for Modes 1 and 3 (Air, Heli and Sailplane Model Types)
The slider switch is protected by a hinged cover that prevents you from accidentally changing spring configurations in flight.

What makes the DX6e ideal for multi-platform pilots?
The Spektrum P-SPMR6655EU 6-channel radio with AirWare programming for airplane, heli, sailplane, and multirotor is built to support a wide range of aircraft types. With dedicated programming menus for each category, users can configure wing types, tail mixes, swashplate setups, and multirotor flight modes with ease. The AirWare interface ensures consistency across Spektrum systems, allowing for cross-platform model sharing and simplified setup—even for complex builds. Whether you're flying a scale glider or a racing quad, the DX6e adapts to your needs.
How does the DX6e support real-time telemetry?
The Entry-level DSMX transmitter with built-in telemetry, intuitive programming, and EN328 compliance provides real-time feedback on battery voltage, motor temperature, and signal quality when paired with a telemetry-enabled receiver and sensors. Users can program alerts to notify them when values exceed defined limits, helping prevent damage and improve situational awareness during flight. This feature is especially valuable for electric aircraft and high-performance setups where monitoring system health is critical.
What’s unique about the gimbal design?
The Spektrum transmitter with spring-configurable gimbals, AirWare software, and real-time telemetry features a patent-pending gimbal system that allows users to switch between spring-centered and normal throttle modes using a protected slider switch—no tools required. This makes it easy to adapt the transmitter for different flying styles and control modes (e.g., Mode 1–4), whether you're flying fixed-wing aircraft or multirotors. The hinged cover prevents accidental changes mid-flight, ensuring safe and consistent control.
How does the DX6e simplify training and model sharing?
The Best 6-channel DSMX radio with telemetry alerts, wireless buddy box, and 250-model memory includes a wireless trainer link that allows instructors to buddy box with other DSMX transmitters. Once paired, the DX6e can re-link automatically via ModelMatch without repeating the bind process. This feature is ideal for flight schools, clubs, or mentoring scenarios. Additionally, the transmitter supports cross-platform model sharing, making it easy to transfer setups between Spektrum systems and collaborate with other pilots.
