Overview

The Team Associated Factory Team RC8 Droop Gauge 70–135mm (AS1536) is a precision suspension setup tool designed specifically for RC8 platform owners who demand accurate and repeatable chassis configuration. Whether you're preparing your RC car UK for competitive racing or fine-tuning trackside, this dedicated droop gauge provides essential measurement capabilities to help you achieve consistent suspension geometry. Part of the respected Factory Team range, this genuine Associated tool is an indispensable addition to any serious pit box, enabling you to check and adjust suspension droop with confidence and precision.

Suspension setup is one of the most critical aspects of RC car performance, and droop measurement is fundamental to achieving a well-balanced chassis. The droop gauge measures the amount of suspension compression when the RC car is at rest, helping you establish baseline settings that remain consistent between sessions. This repeatability is vital whether you're running on tarmac or carpet, in competitive events or casual weekend bashing. The 70–135mm measurement range provides clear reference points during maintenance and trackside tuning, ensuring you can dial in your RC8 exactly as you intend. For RC enthusiasts serious about suspension setup, this tool removes guesswork and delivers measurable results.

This is a Factory Team tool engineered to the same high standards as Team Associated's competition vehicles. If you own an RC8B4, RC8B4e, RC8T4, RC8T4e, RC8B4.1, or RC8B4.1e, this droop gauge is specifically engineered for your platform and will become one of your most-used setup tools.

Key Features

  • Dedicated RC8 Design — This gauge is engineered specifically for the RC8 platform family, ensuring perfect compatibility and accurate measurements across all RC8B4, RC8B4e, RC8T4, RC8T4e, RC8B4.1, and RC8B4.1e variants. This purpose-built approach guarantees precision that generic tools simply cannot match.
  • 70–135mm Measurement Range — The extended measurement range provides clear reference points for checking suspension droop at multiple positions, allowing you to establish consistent baseline settings and track changes as you adjust springs, anti-roll bars, and suspension geometry.
  • Precision Setup Tool — Droop measurement is fundamental to accurate chassis setup, affecting everything from traction to stability to cornering response. This dedicated gauge helps you achieve repeatable results that translate directly into improved on-track performance.
  • Factory Team Quality — As part of the Factory Team range, this tool is engineered to the same exacting standards as Team Associated's competition vehicles, ensuring durability and accuracy session after session.
  • Trackside Practicality — Compact and designed for pit box use, this gauge lets you verify and adjust suspension settings between races and practice sessions, maintaining consistent setup throughout your racing day.

Technical Performance

The Team Associated Factory Team RC8 Droop Gauge is a precision measurement tool manufactured to exacting standards. With its 70–135mm measurement range, it accommodates the full spectrum of suspension droop settings you're likely to encounter on RC8 platforms during competitive tuning and maintenance. The gauge provides clear, easy-to-read measurements that eliminate ambiguity when setting up your chassis. Whether you're establishing initial baseline settings or making fine adjustments between qualifying rounds, the consistent measurement capability ensures repeatability across multiple setup sessions. The construction is engineered for durability in the demanding environment of competitive RC racing, where tools must withstand regular use in pit areas and trackside conditions. This is not a generic measuring device adapted for RC use—it is purpose-built for the RC8 family, reflecting Team Associated's commitment to precision engineering and competitive excellence. For drivers and mechanics serious about suspension setup as a foundation for improved performance, this tool delivers the accuracy and reliability needed to dial in a competitive chassis.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is droop and why do I need to measure it? — Droop is the amount of suspension compression when your RC car is at rest, before any driving forces are applied. Measuring and controlling droop is essential for achieving consistent baseline suspension geometry, which directly affects traction, stability, and cornering performance. By using a dedicated droop gauge, you can verify your setup is repeatable between sessions and compare settings across different configurations, enabling systematic tuning and improvement.
  • Which RC8 models is this droop gauge compatible with? — This gauge is designed for all RC8 platform variants, including the RC8B4, RC8B4e, RC8T4, RC8T4e, RC8B4.1, and RC8B4.1e. Its 70–135mm range accommodates the suspension geometry of all these models, making it the correct tool for any RC8 owner.
  • Is this suitable for beginners? — Whilst this is a professional setup tool, it is suitable for any RC8 owner who wants to improve their understanding of suspension geometry and achieve more consistent chassis setup. Beginners will benefit from using this gauge to establish baseline settings and track how adjustments affect performance, making it a valuable learning tool as well as a competitive advantage.
  • How does this improve my RC car's performance? — Accurate droop measurement is the foundation of consistent suspension setup. By using this gauge to verify your settings, you ensure your RC car has repeatable baseline geometry between races and practice sessions. This consistency allows you to identify which setup changes actually improve performance, rather than chasing variables that hide underneath inconsistent baseline settings. Professional racers and serious hobbyists use droop gauges for this reason—they deliver measurable improvements through precision setup.
  • Will this work with other RC car brands? — This gauge is engineered specifically for the RC8 platform family. Whilst the 70–135mm measurement range might accommodate other vehicles, this tool is optimised for RC8 geometry and compatibility. For other platforms, you should use platform-specific setup tools to ensure accuracy.
