Overview

The Louise RC E-Rocket 1/10 4WD/RR Soft Kyosho Hex 12mm White mounted tyre set represents a premium choice for serious RC buggy enthusiasts across the UK. These professional-grade racing tyres are engineered specifically for 1/10 scale off-road buggies, delivering exceptional grip and performance on competition tracks. Whether you're a seasoned competitor looking to upgrade your RC car setup or an ambitious hobbyist seeking to improve lap times, the E-Rocket soft compound tyres are manufactured to the highest standards by Louise RC, a brand recognised globally for tyre excellence in the RC hobby.

What sets the E-Rocket range apart in the UK RC market is Louise RC's obsessive attention to detail in every stage of production. These are not standard tyres; they are purpose-built racing components that have been developed through years of competition experience and continuous refinement. The soft compound is specifically formulated for maximum grip when your tyres reach operating temperature, making them ideal for racing scenarios where traction is paramount. Each set arrives pre-mounted on white composite wheels with 12mm hex adapters, ready to bolt onto your compatible 1/10 buggy without additional preparation.

The E-Rocket tyres are trusted by RC buggy racers because they deliver predictable handling characteristics, consistent wear patterns, and the kind of performance feedback that helps drivers fine-tune their technique. Whether you're competing at your local track or pushing your skills at regional events, these mounted tyre sets eliminate guesswork from the setup equation and let you focus on driving.

Key Features

  • Racing Soft Compound — Maximum Grip for Competition Louise RC racing soft compound tyres are engineered for maximum grip and optimal performance when the tyre reaches its ideal operating temperature. This compound is specifically developed for drivers who demand the best possible traction during racing. The soft rubber allows the tyre to build up grip gradually as you warm up your RC car, which is why we recommend driving a few laps before pushing hard; once up to temperature, you'll experience the responsive, predictable handling that separates winning setups from the rest.
  • Pre-Mounted and Glued for Immediate Use These tyres arrive fully mounted and permanently bonded to professional-grade wheels, meaning you can install them directly onto your compatible 1/10 buggy without any assembly, gluing or preparation work. This saves valuable time and ensures perfect bonding from day one, as Louise RC uses specialised cyanoacrylate adhesive with precision dosing machines and rigorous pulling tests to guarantee rock-solid tyre-to-wheel attachment that can withstand the extreme forces of racing, hard cornering and high-impact landings.
  • Precision Foam Inserts for Perfect Form Stability The E-Rocket tyres feature carefully selected cut-to-size foam inserts engineered to provide optimal dampening and maintain perfect form stability throughout aggressive driving. These inserts are selected in specific density grades to handle the extreme vertical and lateral forces experienced during competitive RC buggy racing, ensuring your tyres maintain their shape and responsiveness lap after lap.
  • Durable Nylon Composite Wheels with Excellent Strength The white wheels are manufactured from high-quality nylon granulates charged with fibre, creating a composite material specially developed by Dupont specifically for Louise RC. This advanced material delivers the perfect balance of flexibility and strength, allowing the wheels to withstand extreme loads during cornering, acceleration and the high-impact forces of jumps and rough terrain without cracking or deforming.
  • 12mm Hex Fitment Compatible with Multiple Platforms The standard 12mm hex adapters allow these tyre sets to fit a wide range of popular 1/10 scale buggies from leading manufacturers including Team Corally SBX-410, X-Ray XB-4, Schumacher Cat, Associated RC10B74, Kyosho Lazer ZX, TLR 22X4, S-Workz S14 1/10 and many more. Always refer to the Louise RC tyre-wheel compatibility chart to verify fitment with your specific model.
  • Professional Manufacturing Standards Throughout Every E-Rocket tyre set undergoes Louise RC's comprehensive quality control process. The rubber compound rings are ground and degreased before gluing, the wheel surface is prepared identically, the bond is applied with precision dosing equipment for perfect consistency, and each completed assembly is subjected to spinning and pulling tests to ensure flawless adhesion. This manufacturing rigour is why Louise RC is recognised as one of the best in the RC industry for tyre quality.
  • 87mm Diameter with Balanced 43mm Width The E-Rocket sizing delivers an optimal diameter of 87mm with a width of 43mm, engineered to provide the ideal rolling characteristics and contact patch for 1/10 buggy racing. This geometry contributes to predictable handling, responsive steering input and stable cornering performance across various track surfaces.
  • Genuine Louise RC Competition Component Louise RC has built its reputation on supplying genuine racing tyres to competitive RC drivers worldwide. When you purchase E-Rocket soft compound tyres, you're buying a component designed by engineers with deep understanding of RC racing dynamics and manufactured with zero compromise on quality or consistency.

Technical Performance

The Louise RC E-Rocket 1/10 4WD/RR soft compound mounted tyre set delivers exceptional technical performance across every aspect that matters to serious RC buggy racers. At a combined weight of just 68 grams per wheel-tyre assembly, the E-Rockets offer minimal unsprung mass, contributing to responsive handling and accurate feedback through your RC car's suspension. The soft rubber compound has been formulated through rigorous development to balance grip levels, wear characteristics and temperature sensitivity, ensuring that as your tyres heat up during driving, they build progressive grip rather than sudden traction changes that can destabilise your line. The 87mm diameter with 43mm width provides an ideal rolling circumference and contact patch for 1/10 scale buggy geometry, optimised for both acceleration traction and braking stability. The nylon composite wheels, reinforced with fibre additives from Dupont's advanced materials science, are engineered to flex precisely without permanent deformation, absorbing impact forces while maintaining exact wheel geometry. The specially formulated cyanoacrylate adhesive creates a permanent bond that Louise RC has engineered to outlast multiple sets of tyre usage; the tyre will wear and eventually require replacement, but the bond will not fail. For UK RC car racing, the E-Rocket soft compound represents a recognised standard in 1/10 buggy competition, chosen by drivers who refuse to compromise on any component of their racing setup. The mounting includes cut-to-size foam inserts selected in precise density grades to work harmoniously with your buggy's suspension, providing consistent feel and predictable behaviour whether you're driving on clay, dirt, or asphalt racing surfaces.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What 1/10 buggies are compatible with the Louise RC E-Rocket 12mm hex tyres? The E-Rocket soft compound set fits all 1/10 scale buggies featuring 12mm wheel hex adapters. This includes Team Corally SBX-410, X-Ray XB-4, Schumacher Cat, Associated RC10B74, Kyosho Lazer ZX, TLR 22X4, S-Workz S14 1/10 and many other popular models. Louise RC publishes a comprehensive tyre-wheel car chart that details every compatible vehicle model; we recommend checking this chart before purchasing to confirm your specific buggy is supported.
  • Are these tyres suitable for racing or purely for recreational bashing? The E-Rocket soft compound is specifically engineered for racing and competition use. The soft rubber compound is designed to deliver maximum grip when operating at racing temperatures, making them ideal for track racing scenarios. Recreational bashers may find these tyres wear faster than harder compounds due to the softer rubber formulation, but the grip advantage during racing is significant for drivers pursuing lap time improvements and competitive performance.
  • Why do you recommend warming up the E-Rocket tyres before pushing hard? The Louise RC soft compound builds grip gradually as the rubber heats up to its ideal operating temperature. Cold tyres will not deliver their full grip potential; driving a few laps at moderate pace allows the tyres to warm up and reach maximum performance. Once up to temperature, you'll notice significantly improved traction, more responsive handling and the predictable grip that enables faster lap times.
  • How does Louise RC ensure perfect tyre-to-wheel bonding? Louise RC employs a multi-stage bonding process that sets them apart in the RC hobby industry. The rubber rings are ground and degreased, the wheel surface is prepared identically, then specialised cyanoacrylate adhesive (developed specifically for Louise RC) is applied using precision dosing machines that guarantee consistent glue amounts. The bonded assembly is then pressed under pressure for a specific duration, and finally, every single tyre undergoes spinning and pulling tests to verify perfect bonding before it leaves the factory. This rigorous approach ensures bonds that withstand extreme racing forces.
  • What is the difference between the Louise RC soft and super soft compounds? Both are racing compounds with slightly different grip and wear characteristics. The soft compound (which is what you're purchasing here) offers a balanced combination of maximum grip and reasonable tyre wear, ideal for most racing conditions. The super soft compound delivers even higher grip levels but may wear faster. Your choice should depend on your local track surface, driving style and whether absolute grip takes priority over tyre longevity.
  • Can I replace just the tyres on these wheels, or are they permanently glued? The E-Rocket tyres are permanently bonded to the wheels using specialised cyanoacrylate adhesive. The bonding is extremely strong by design and is not intended to be reversed. When the tyres wear and require replacement, you'll typically purchase new complete wheel-tyre assemblies. This approach guarantees perfect bonding from the factory and eliminates any risk of glue failure during competition.
  • What weight do these wheel and tyre assemblies add to my RC buggy? Each complete assembly, including wheel, tyre and foam insert, weighs 68 grams. For a typical 1/10 buggy requiring four wheels, this represents approximately 272 grams of total wheel and tyre mass. The lightweight nylon composite construction keeps unsprung weight to a minimum, which is critical for maintaining responsive handling and accurate suspension feedback during racing.
  • How do these compare to other budget tyre brands available to RC car UK buyers? Louise RC is recognised globally as a premium racing tyre manufacturer with an emphasis on consistency, performance and manufacturing standards. While budget tyre brands may cost less upfront, Louise RC E-Rocket tyres deliver superior grip consistency, better wear patterns, more predictable handling characteristics and are manufactured to standards that justify their position in the racing market. For drivers serious about competitive RC buggy racing, the performance advantages justify the investment.
