Every aspect of these E-Rocket tyres—from the rubber compound formulation to the wheel material composition to the bonding process—has been engineered with extreme precision. The tyres arrive ready to install straight onto your 12mm hex hub, eliminating the need for you to source separate inserts or spend hours gluing. This convenience combined with professional-grade construction makes the E-Rocket an intelligent investment for any RC enthusiast looking to enhance their buggy's performance without compromise.
These soft compound racing tyres are engineered to provide maximum grip in a variety of track conditions, making them versatile enough for both casual driving and serious competition. The white wheel finish adds a striking aesthetic to your RC buggy whilst maintaining the durability and engineering excellence Louise RC is known for throughout the RC hobby.
Key Features
- Pre-Mounted and Factory-Glued Design — These tyres arrive completely mounted and permanently bonded to the wheels, eliminating assembly time and potential bonding failures. Louise RC uses a specially formulated rubber cyanoacrylate adhesive that has been developed specifically for these tyres, with a meticulous production process involving grinding, degreasing, precision dosing, pressing and quality control spinning and pulling tests to ensure every tyre bond is absolutely perfect and will withstand the extreme cornering forces, accelerations and landing impacts of competitive RC racing.
- Soft Racing Compound — Formulated for maximum grip and optimal performance across a range of track temperatures, the soft compound builds grip as the tyres warm up. This means you'll experience improved handling and faster lap times once the tyres reach their ideal operating temperature, which is why Louise RC recommends running a few warm-up laps before pushing for competitive times. The compound balances grip with manageable wear characteristics, extending the lifespan of your investment.
- Premium Nylon Composite Wheels — The wheels are manufactured from high-quality nylon granulates charged with fibre, a composite specially developed by Dupont specifically for Louise RC. This engineering ensures the wheels possess the precise combination of flexibility and strength required to withstand the extreme forces generated during hard cornering, acceleration, braking and high-impact landings without deformation or failure.
- Precision Foam Inserts — Each tyre is fitted with cut-to-size foam inserts selected for specific density and size to guarantee perfect dampening and form stability. These inserts maintain consistent tyre shape under load, ensuring predictable handling characteristics lap after lap and preserving the tyre profile even during aggressive driving.
- 12mm Hex Fitment — Compatible with the vast majority of 1/10 scale off-road buggies featuring 12mm wheel hex adapters, including models from Team Corally, X-Ray, Schumacher, Associated, Kyosho, TLR Racing, S-Workz and many others. Always verify compatibility using the manufacturer's fitment chart before purchasing.
- Racing-Grade Construction — These are genuine racing tyres designed for competition use, not casual play. Every aspect—tyre thickness, insert density, wheel geometry and bonding strength—has been optimised for the demands of serious RC buggy racing where consistency and reliability are paramount.
- Professional Quality Assurance — Each completed tyre undergoes rigorous quality control testing including spinning and pulling tests to verify perfect bonding and structural integrity before leaving the factory, ensuring you receive product built to the highest standards.
Technical Performance
The Louise RC E-Rocket tyres represent the pinnacle of engineering in the 1/10 off-road buggy tyre category. At 86mm diameter and 35mm width, these tyres offer the right footprint for competitive racing, providing sufficient contact patch for traction whilst maintaining responsive handling characteristics. Weighing just 57 grams per complete wheel and tyre assembly, the low rotational mass contributes to quick acceleration and lively handling response—critical factors in competitive RC buggy racing where lap times are measured in hundredths of a second. The tyres are mounted on white nylon composite rims with 0 offset geometry, ensuring neutral handling characteristics without introducing unwanted steering bias. The 2.2-inch (56mm) bead diameter fitment is standard for 1/10 scale buggies and ensures secure seating on compatible hex hubs. The soft compound rubber has been specifically formulated to deliver superior grip on both carpet and dirt racing surfaces, though performance characteristics will vary based on track temperature, surface preparation and driving style. Louise RC's manufacturing process ensures consistency across all tyres in a set, meaning you can expect uniform grip and handling from wheel to wheel—essential for competitive racing where any imbalance can cost you tenths of seconds per lap.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Which 1/10 RC buggies are these tyres compatible with? — The Louise RC E-Rocket tyres with 12mm hex fitment are compatible with a wide range of 1/10 scale off-road buggies including Team Corally SBX-410, X-Ray XB-4, Schumacher Cat, Associated RC10B74, Kyosho Lazer ZX, TLR 22X4, and S-Workz S14 1/10 models. However, Louise RC recommends referring to their dedicated tyre-wheel compatibility chart before purchasing to verify fitment with your specific model, as wheel standards can vary between manufacturers and model generations.
- Do these tyres come ready to use? — Yes, these are fully mounted and factory-glued tyres that arrive complete and ready to install. You simply remove them from the packaging and press them onto your RC buggy's 12mm hex wheel hubs. There is no assembly, insert fitting or gluing required, saving you significant preparation time.
- What is the difference between soft and super soft Louise RC racing compounds? — Louise RC E-Rocket racing tyres are available in both soft and super soft compounds. The soft compound (as featured in this product) offers a balance between maximum grip and reasonable wear characteristics, making it suitable for a wider range of track conditions and driving styles. The super soft compound provides even more grip but sacrifices tyre lifespan, making it better suited to drivers who prioritise outright speed in controlled racing environments and don't mind replacing tyres more frequently.
- How long do these tyres last? — Tyre lifespan depends entirely on driving style, track surface and ambient temperature. Racing compounds will wear faster than recreational compounds because they are formulated for grip rather than durability. Some competitive drivers change tyres every few races, whilst weekend bashers may get many more hours of use. The soft racing compound used here is engineered for performance first, longevity second.
- Do I need to run in these tyres before racing? — Yes, Louise RC strongly recommends running a few warm-up laps before attempting competitive driving. The soft racing compound requires heat to reach its optimal grip level. Cold tyres will feel slippery and unpredictable. Once properly warmed up, you'll notice significantly improved traction and handling, which is when you should begin pushing for competitive lap times.
- What makes Louise RC tyres different from budget alternatives? — Louise RC's reputation in the RC industry is built on uncompromising attention to detail at every stage of manufacturing. The specially formulated Dupont nylon composite wheels, the precision foam inserts selected for specific density, the Dupont-developed rubber compound, and the meticulous multi-stage bonding process with quality assurance testing all contribute to a product that delivers consistent, predictable performance over time. Budget tyres may work but often suffer from inconsistent bonding, varying insert density, and inferior compound formulation, ultimately costing more money in the long run through failed bonds and unpredictable handling.
- Are these suitable for beginners? — Whilst these tyres are physically suitable for any 1/10 buggy with 12mm hex fitment, they are optimised for racing and competitive driving rather than casual off-road bashing. Beginners would benefit from learning the fundamentals of RC buggy control, but would not need the premium racing-grade performance these tyres offer. Budget-friendly recreational tyres would be more appropriate for initial learning, with an upgrade to Louise RC E-Rockets once competitive racing becomes the goal.
- How do I verify compatibility with my specific RC buggy? — Louise RC provides a detailed tyre-wheel compatibility chart on their website. You should check your RC buggy's model number and cross-reference it against this chart before purchasing to ensure the 12mm hex fitment matches your vehicle's wheel hub standard.
