Overview
The Fastrax Pro 11/32 Nut Driver (FAST636) is an essential precision tool for RC car enthusiasts working with Team Associated vintage buggies, particularly the legendary 2WD RC10 platform. Whether you're a seasoned RC car UK competitor or a dedicated vintage buggy restorer, this professional-grade nut driver delivers the reliability and precision engineering you need for wheel and shock mounting maintenance. The Fastrax brand is recognised throughout the RC hobby for manufacturing high-quality tool solutions that make setup and maintenance easier for RC enthusiasts of all skill levels.
This specialised nut driver has been designed specifically to work with the 4-40UNC sized nuts found on classic Team Associated 2WD RC10 models, including both vintage buggies and trucks. If you're maintaining, upgrading or restoring one of these iconic platforms, having the correct nut driver tool is essential to avoid stripping fasteners and damaging your precious RC vehicle. The tool's precision engineering ensures you can apply the right amount of torque when tightening front wheel nuts and shock mounting hardware, which is critical for maintaining proper suspension geometry and wheel alignment on your RC buggy or truck.
Built to professional standards by Fastrax, this nut driver represents an investment in tool quality that will serve you reliably for years of RC car maintenance and builds. The hardened nut driver tip resists wear and provides a secure grip on fasteners, whilst the machined aluminium handle offers both durability and comfortable handling during extended work sessions on your RC hobby bench.
Key Features
- Machined Aluminium Handle — The handle is precision-machined from aluminium alloy, providing a lightweight yet durable construction that won't fatigue your hand during extended use. This professional-grade manufacturing ensures the handle maintains its shape and integrity over years of regular RC maintenance work.
- Hardened Nut Driver Tip — The nut driver itself is hardened to resist wear and deformation when working with fasteners repeatedly. This hardening process means the tool will maintain its shape and grip characteristics even after thousands of uses, preventing the frustrating slippage that can occur with inferior tools.
- 11/32 Socket Size (4-40UNC) — This specific socket size is designed to work perfectly with the 4-40UNC sized fasteners used on Team Associated 2WD RC10 vintage buggies and trucks. Using the correct tool size prevents fastener damage and ensures proper torque application without over-tightening or under-tightening critical suspension and wheel components.
- Front Wheel and Shock Mounting Compatibility — The tool is specifically engineered for tightening and adjusting front wheel nuts and shock mounting hardware on your RC buggy or truck. This dual functionality makes it an essential addition to any RC technician's toolbox who works with these classic platforms.
- Ideal for Team Associated 2WD RC10 Platform — Whether you're working with genuine vintage Team Associated 2WD RC10 buggies or their modern equivalents, this nut driver is the correct tool for the job. Using the proper tool ensures you maintain your vehicle's integrity whilst preserving the longevity of your fasteners.
Technical Performance
The Fastrax Pro 11/32 Nut Driver represents precision tool engineering designed specifically for the RC car hobby. The 11/32 inch socket size (equivalent to 4-40UNC thread specification) is machined to exacting tolerances to ensure a perfect fit on Team Associated RC10 fasteners without wobbling or slipping. The hardened steel nut driver tip is heat-treated to Rockwell hardness standards that resist wear and deformation, maintaining its gripping characteristics throughout thousands of tightening cycles. The machined aluminium handle provides the perfect balance between weight and rigidity — light enough to reduce hand fatigue during extended RC car maintenance sessions, yet rigid enough to transmit torque without flexing or twisting. For RC enthusiasts working on vintage buggies and trucks, or those maintaining classic 2WD platforms, this tool delivers the professional-grade quality needed to keep fasteners secure without risk of stripping or damaging expensive RC car components. The precision engineering extends to the connection between handle and socket, ensuring no play or movement during use, which is essential when working with the delicate fasteners found on suspension systems and wheel hubs of vintage RC vehicles.
