Overview

The Corally Steel Screws M4 x 16mm Hex Socket Head are essential fastening components designed for RC enthusiasts and model builders across the UK who demand reliable, precision-engineered hardware for their scale models and RC vehicles. Whether you're building a competitive RC car, maintaining your off-road buggy, or assembling a custom RC truck, these steel hex socket head screws offer the durability and precision fit that serious hobbyists expect. Manufactured to the exacting DIN912 standard, these screws are engineered to provide consistent performance, superior holding power, and corrosion resistance that outlasts inferior fasteners commonly found in budget hobby shops.

This pack contains 10 individual M4 x 16mm screws, each carefully manufactured from hardened steel with a professional hex socket head design. The M4 diameter and 16mm length make these screws ideal for securing chassis components, motor mounts, suspension brackets, and body panels on a wide range of 1/10 scale and larger RC models. The hex socket head design allows for quick, tool-friendly installation using standard hex Allen keys or socket wrenches, eliminating the frustration of stripped screwheads that plague cheaper alternatives. For RC enthusiasts in the UK looking to upgrade their hardware game or complete a build with quality fasteners, these Corally steel screws represent outstanding value and reliability.

Corally has built a reputation among RC model enthusiasts for delivering professional-grade components at accessible prices, and these hex socket head screws are a perfect example of that commitment. When you're investing time and money into your RC hobby, using quality fasteners ensures your models stay secure during aggressive driving sessions, high-speed runs, and challenging terrain. These screws won't let you down, whether you're a weekend basher enjoying casual off-road adventures or a competition driver preparing for serious RC racing.

Key Features

  • DIN912 Standard Steel Construction — These screws conform to the internationally recognised DIN912 specification for hex socket head cap screws, ensuring consistent dimensions, material quality, and holding power that meets professional engineering standards. This means you're getting screws that are manufactured to exacting tolerances, not approximations.
  • M4 Diameter with 16mm Length — The M4 x 16mm dimensions make these screws perfectly sized for securing medium to large components on 1/10 scale RC cars, buggies, trucks and crawlers. The 16mm length provides excellent engagement depth for reliable fastening without excessive protrusion that could interfere with moving parts.
  • Hex Socket Head Design — Unlike traditional Phillips or slot-head screws that strip easily, the hex socket head accepts a standard hex key (Allen key) or socket wrench for secure, controlled tightening. This design distributes pressure evenly and is far less prone to damage during installation or maintenance.
  • Hardened Steel Material — These aren't mild steel screws that bend or deform under load. The hardened steel construction provides superior strength and durability, resisting vibration loosening and maintaining clamping force even during aggressive RC driving with bumps, jumps and high-speed impacts.
  • Pack of 10 Pieces — Each pack contains 10 individual screws, giving you enough fasteners for a complete assembly project or to have spares on hand for repairs, maintenance and future builds. Quality fasteners are something you'll always use in the RC hobby.
  • Professional Grade Quality — Manufactured by Corally, a trusted name in RC components, these screws meet the quality expectations of serious hobbyists, competitive racers, and professional RC model builders. You're investing in components that will outlast and outperform budget alternatives.
  • Corrosion Resistant — The hardened steel construction resists rust and corrosion, making these screws suitable for outdoor driving, wet conditions, and long-term storage without degradation. This is particularly important for RC enthusiasts in the UK where damp conditions are common.

Technical Performance

The Corally Steel Screws M4 x 16mm represent precision engineering at its finest. Manufactured to DIN912 specifications, these hex socket head cap screws deliver exceptional performance across all RC applications where medium-sized fasteners are required. The M4 metric diameter provides the perfect balance between sufficient clamping force and compatibility with standard RC model assembly points. At 16mm in length, these screws offer adequate engagement depth to securely fasten components ranging from chassis plates and motor mounts to suspension brackets and body mounting points commonly found on 1/10 scale RC buggies, trucks, crawlers and competitive racing vehicles. The hardened steel construction ensures these fasteners maintain their integrity under the vibration, impact and stress associated with high-performance RC driving. Unlike cheaper alternatives that deform or loosen over time, these Corally screws maintain consistent clamping force through countless driving sessions. The hex socket head design is engineered for positive engagement with standard hex keys, eliminating the frustration of stripped fasteners that plague Phillips head or slot-head alternatives. Each screw in this 10-piece pack has been individually manufactured to exacting tolerances, ensuring perfect fit and finish across the entire set. Whether you're assembling a brand-new RC vehicle or maintaining an established model, the quality and reliability of these fasteners will be immediately apparent.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is DIN912 and why does it matter for RC model screws? — DIN912 is an international specification for hex socket head cap screws that defines strict requirements for material quality, dimensions, and performance. When a fastener meets DIN912 standards, you know it's been manufactured to professional engineering specifications rather than approximated. This means consistent fit, superior material properties, and reliability across all screws in the pack. For RC enthusiasts building or maintaining models, DIN912-compliant fasteners ensure compatibility and performance that budget alternatives simply cannot match.
  • Are these screws suitable for all types of RC vehicles? — The M4 x 16mm dimensions make these screws ideal for 1/10 scale RC cars, buggies, trucks and crawlers, as well as larger 1/8 and 1/6 scale models. They're particularly well-suited for securing chassis components, motor mounts, suspension brackets, and body panels. However, for very small micro RC models or larger 1/5 scale vehicles, different sizes may be more appropriate. If you're unsure whether these are the right size for your specific RC project, consult your vehicle's manual or contact RC Model Shop for expert guidance.
  • What is the advantage of hex socket head design over traditional Phillips head screws? — Hex socket head screws offer multiple advantages for RC enthusiasts. First, the larger contact area between the hex key and screw head means significantly less risk of stripping or damaging the screw during installation. Second, you can apply more torque with better control using a hex key, ensuring proper fastening without over-tightening. Third, hex socket heads are less prone to vibration loosening during aggressive RC driving. Finally, replacement hex keys are inexpensive and universally available, whereas stripped Phillips screws often require complete removal and replacement with new fasteners.
  • Will these steel screws rust or corrode? — The hardened steel construction of these Corally screws is naturally resistant to corrosion, though long-term exposure to moisture and salt water will eventually cause surface oxidation. For RC enthusiasts in the UK who regularly drive in wet conditions or near salt water environments, these screws will perform reliably through normal use. For extended storage in damp conditions, consider applying a light coat of oil or storing in a dry location. The quality of the steel used in Corally fasteners means they'll resist rust far longer than cheaper alternatives.
  • How many screws do I need for a complete RC vehicle build? — A complete RC car assembly typically requires multiple fasteners of different sizes. The 10 screws in this pack are sufficient for securing several major components such as motor mounts, chassis plates, or suspension brackets, but you'll likely need additional screws of various sizes to complete an entire vehicle build. We recommend ordering multiple packs in different sizes to ensure you have adequate fasteners for your project. Check your RC vehicle's manual for specific fastener requirements.
  • Why choose Corally fasteners over generic alternatives? — Corally has built a reputation for delivering quality RC components that meet professional standards. Their hex socket head screws are manufactured to DIN912 specifications, meaning consistent quality across every screw in the pack. Generic fasteners often feature poor material quality, loose tolerances, and inadequate hardening, leading to stripping, loosening, and premature failure. When you're investing time and money into your RC hobby, choosing quality fasteners ensures your models stay secure and reliable. Corally fasteners represent the best value for serious hobbyists who demand professional-grade components.
  • Can these screws be used in wet or muddy conditions? — Yes, these hardened steel screws are suitable for use in wet or muddy RC driving environments. The steel construction resists corrosion better than softer metals, and the hex socket head design means they're less likely to get damaged or stripped when removing and reinstalling them for maintenance. However, after extended exposure to salt water or in extremely harsh conditions, you may eventually see surface oxidation. Regular inspection and light oiling during storage will keep them in excellent condition.
