Key Features
- DIN912 Standard Compliance — These screws are manufactured to the international DIN912 specification, which guarantees consistent dimensions, material properties and reliability across all fasteners, ensuring they work seamlessly with other quality RC components.
- Steel Construction — Made from durable steel material, these fasteners resist corrosion better than cheaper alternatives and provide superior strength for high-stress applications in your RC car, whether you're running on rough terrain or performing aggressive driving manoeuvres.
- Hex Socket Head Design — The hex socket (also known as Allen key) head provides a secure grip and prevents stripping, making installation and removal easier than traditional Phillips or slot-head screws, which is particularly valuable when working on multiple vehicles or in time-sensitive situations.
- M3 x 16mm Sizing — The M3 diameter with 16mm length is one of the most versatile fastener sizes in RC hobby applications, suitable for securing suspension components, chassis plates, servo mounts, and various other assembly points across different RC car scales and types.
- Pack of 10 Screws — Each pack contains 10 individual fasteners, providing enough screws for several assembly or repair jobs, making them economical and practical for your RC workshop stockpile.
- Universal Compatibility — These fasteners work with virtually any RC car brand and model that uses M3 threading, from Traxxas and ARRMA to Losi and custom builds, making them a valuable addition to any RC enthusiast's parts collection.
Technical Performance
The Corally Steel Screws M3 x 16mm represent the engineering principle that quality fasteners are foundational to reliable RC vehicle performance. Manufactured from steel rather than inferior materials, these screws offer superior tensile strength and resistance to vibration-induced loosening, which is critical in RC applications where constant acceleration, deceleration and impact forces are present. The DIN912 hex socket head design is the industry standard for precision fastening, preferred by professional mechanics and serious hobbyists because the internal hex socket provides a tight, secure grip that resists stripping far better than external slot or Phillips drives. The M3 x 16mm dimensions place these screws in the ideal size range for RC car assembly, offering sufficient grip length for standard material thicknesses without being so long that they protrude or cause clearance issues. Whether you're assembling a crawler navigating rocky terrain, a buggy taking flight over jumps, or a touring car pushing the limits of adhesion on tarmac, these fasteners will maintain their grip and keep your components secure throughout demanding use.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What are DIN912 standard hex socket head screws? — DIN912 is an international engineering standard that specifies the exact dimensions, material composition and manufacturing tolerances for hex socket (Allen key) head screws. This standardisation means that Corally's screws will fit perfectly with any hex socket tool and perform reliably in any application requiring M3 fasteners, whether you're working on RC cars, drones, or other precision equipment.
- Are these screws suitable for all RC car models? — These M3 x 16mm screws are compatible with virtually any RC car that uses metric M3 threading, making them suitable for popular brands including Traxxas ready to run RC vehicles, ARRMA buggies and trucks, Losi cars, and countless custom builds. However, always verify that your specific model uses M3 fasteners before ordering.
- Why choose steel screws over alternatives? — Steel fasteners offer superior strength and vibration resistance compared to cheaper alternatives like zinc-plated or plastic fasteners. In RC applications where components experience constant stress from acceleration, deceleration, impacts and terrain changes, steel screws maintain their grip far better, reducing the risk of fasteners loosening and causing mechanical failure or loss of vehicle components.
- What size hex key do I need for these screws? — M3 hex socket head screws require a 2.5mm hex key (also called an Allen key) for installation and removal. This is a standard size included in most hex key sets, and Corally supplies these screws in quantities that make them practical for maintaining multiple vehicles or completing substantial assembly projects.
- How many screws should I buy for my RC car project? — This depends on your specific application. A typical RC car chassis might use anywhere from 5 to 30 M3 fasteners depending on its complexity and your build approach. Each pack contains 10 screws, so most users working on suspension upgrades, servo mounts or chassis plate assembly will find one pack sufficient, though many RC enthusiasts keep several packs on hand for convenience.
- Can these screws be reused after removal? — Yes, the hex socket head design is durable and reusable provided the socket hasn't been stripped. Steel construction means these screws can be installed and removed multiple times without losing their properties, making them economical for builders who frequently modify or experiment with vehicle configurations.
