Overview
The Corally Bevel Pinion 13T Molded Steel represents a critical drivetrain component designed for RC enthusiasts who demand precision engineering and reliable performance. As a dedicated spare part engineered specifically for the Corally Radix 4 platform, this bevel pinion is an essential upgrade for drivers seeking to fine-tune their RC car's acceleration and top speed characteristics. Whether you're a competitive racer fine-tuning your setup on the track or an experienced RC hobbyist in the UK maintaining your collection, the Corally Bevel Pinion 13T offers the durability and precision needed for demanding driving conditions.
Manufactured by Team Corally, a brand recognised throughout the RC community for quality engineering and attention to detail, this bevel pinion is crafted from moulded steel to withstand the extreme forces generated during hard acceleration and cornering. The 13-tooth configuration provides a balanced approach to gear ratio tuning, allowing you to optimise your vehicle's performance characteristics. This single-piece spare part is an investment in your RC car's longevity and performance reliability.
Whether you're upgrading from worn original components or building a high-performance racing setup, the Corally Bevel Pinion 13T Molded Steel is a tuning part that bridges the gap between casual weekend bashing and competitive RC car racing in the UK.
Key Features
- Moulded Steel Construction — The bevel pinion is manufactured from moulded steel, offering superior hardness and durability compared to plastic alternatives, ensuring it can handle the repeated torque loads and stress from high-performance driving without stripping or wearing prematurely.
- 13-Tooth Configuration — With 13 teeth, this pinion provides an optimal balance between acceleration and top speed, allowing drivers to fine-tune their RC car's performance characteristics to match their driving style and track conditions without compromising reliability.
- Corally Radix 4 Compatibility — Engineered as an exact replacement and tuning upgrade for the Corally Radix 4 TC car, this bevel pinion ensures perfect fitment and seamless integration with your existing drivetrain without requiring modifications or adaptations.
- Spare Part and Tuning Solution — Dual-purpose component that serves both as a replacement for worn original parts and as a tuning upgrade, allowing you to experiment with different gear ratios to achieve your ideal performance setup.
- Single Unit Packaging — Supplied as one piece, this bevel pinion is ready to install immediately, making it convenient for quick drivetrain maintenance or experimentation with different tooth configurations.
Technical Performance
The Corally Bevel Pinion 13T Molded Steel represents the pinnacle of drivetrain engineering for 1/10 scale RC cars. Moulded from hardened steel through precision manufacturing processes, this component is designed to withstand the extreme forces generated by brushless motors and high-performance driving on competitive tracks. The 13-tooth configuration strikes a crucial balance in the gear ratio equation—it's neither too aggressive for acceleration nor too conservative for top speed, making it an excellent choice for drivers who frequently change between different track layouts or driving conditions. The moulded construction method ensures consistent tooth geometry and engagement with the spur gear, reducing noise and wear whilst improving efficiency and reliability. For RC car enthusiasts in the UK looking to optimise their Corally Radix 4, understanding how gear ratios affect performance is essential; a 13T pinion offers flexibility that appeals to both setup experimenters and drivers seeking long-term drivetrain durability. The steel material composition ensures that even under sustained high-load conditions typical of competitive RC racing, the pinion will maintain its structural integrity and performance characteristics across dozens of racing sessions.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is a bevel pinion and why does my RC car need one? — A bevel pinion is a precision-engineered gear component that transfers power from the motor to the drivetrain at an angle, allowing your RC car to convert motor speed into wheel rotation. The tooth count directly affects your vehicle's acceleration and top speed balance; the Corally Bevel Pinion 13T offers a mid-range solution that suits diverse driving conditions and track layouts common in UK RC racing.
- Is the 13T configuration suitable for beginners? — While this is a spare part rather than a complete ready-to-run RC car, the 13T tooth count represents a versatile choice suitable for drivers of varying experience levels. Beginners won't find this part difficult to install if they have basic RC maintenance experience, and the 13-tooth ratio is forgiving enough for learning different driving techniques without excessive speed variations.
- How does the 13T pinion compare to other tooth counts? — Smaller tooth counts like 12T provide more aggressive acceleration but sacrifice top speed; larger counts like 14T or 15T favour top speed over acceleration. The 13T Corally Bevel Pinion offers a balanced middle ground, making it ideal for drivers who want flexibility without committing to extreme performance characteristics in either direction.
- Will this bevel pinion fit my Corally RC car model? — The Corally Bevel Pinion 13T Molded Steel is engineered as a direct fit for the Corally Radix 4 TC car. If you own a Radix 4, this component will integrate seamlessly; for other Corally models, we recommend consulting your vehicle's manual or contacting our RC Model Shop team to confirm compatibility before purchase.
- How often should I replace my bevel pinion? — With proper maintenance and reasonable driving, moulded steel bevel pinions typically last for many racing seasons. However, if you notice grinding noises, stripped teeth, or decreased efficiency, it's time to replace the pinion. The Corally Bevel Pinion 13T's durable construction extends the interval between replacements, saving you money over time.
- Is this part suitable for competitive RC racing in the UK? — Yes, absolutely. The Corally Bevel Pinion 13T Molded Steel is designed specifically as both a maintenance part and a tuning component, making it ideal for competitive drivers who want to optimise their Radix 4's performance for specific track conditions or racing formats.
