This isn't just a single spring replacement — it's a complete spring rate selection system that allows you to experiment and optimise your shock setup without having to purchase multiple individual products. Each spring is clearly colour-coded with markings on the bottom, making it straightforward to identify rates, swap springs during testing sessions, and document which setup works best for your specific driving conditions. Whether you're a weekend basher exploring different terrain on your RC crawler, a dedicated scale enthusiast fine-tuning suspension geometry, or a competitive RC racer seeking that crucial performance edge, this assortment delivers the versatility you need.
RC4WD is recognised worldwide as a leader in scale RC products and suspension components, and this shock spring assortment reflects their commitment to precision engineering and user-friendly design. The pack includes everything needed for one complete pair of shocks, with four different spring rates to match various driving scenarios and weight setups.
Key Features
- Four Different Spring Rates — The assortment includes Blue (2.0 rate), Red (1.6 rate), White (0.8 rate), and Yellow (0.4 rate) springs, providing comprehensive suspension tuning options that let you adjust your RC crawler's ride height, handling characteristics and responsiveness across multiple terrain types and driving styles.
- Colour-Coded Identification System — Each spring features a small colour marking on the bottom that clearly identifies its spring rate, eliminating confusion during swaps, allowing you to quickly test different combinations, and making it easy to record which setup delivers optimal performance for your specific RC vehicle.
- Direct Fit Compatibility — These springs are engineered specifically for RC4WD Rock Krawler 110mm shocks and the RC4WD Rock Krawler RRD Emulsion Scale Dual Spring Shocks (Z-D0048), ensuring perfect fitment and consistent performance without modification.
- Complete Pair Setup — With four springs of each rate included, you have enough components to outfit one complete pair of shocks, allowing you to match spring rates across both sides of your RC vehicle for balanced suspension performance and predictable handling behaviour.
- Premium Quality Construction — RC4WD's reputation for quality extends to these shock springs, which feature precise manufacturing tolerances and consistent material properties to deliver reliable performance across countless driving sessions and terrain changes.
- Easy Spring Swapping — The straightforward design with colour identification makes it simple to swap springs between different rates, enabling you to test suspension setups quickly during field sessions without requiring additional tools or technical expertise.
Technical Performance
The RC4WD 110MM Rock Krawler Shock Spring Assortment represents precision engineering in scale RC suspension components. Each spring measures 1.73 inches (44mm) in length and features an inner diameter (ID) of 0.49 inches (12.6mm), with outer diameters varying by spring rate: Blue rate springs measure 0.59 inches (15.2mm) OD, Red rate springs 0.57 inches (14.6mm) OD, White rate springs 0.56 inches (14.3mm) OD, and Yellow rate springs 0.55 inches (14.1mm) OD. The complete assortment weighs just 1.37 ounces (39 grams), making it a lightweight addition to your RC spares collection. These springs are manufactured to tight tolerances ensuring consistency across all four rate options, which is critical for achieving the suspension performance your RC crawler demands. The colour-coding system isn't merely decorative — it reflects RC4WD's understanding of how scale RC enthusiasts work, providing instant visual identification that reduces setup time and minimises the risk of accidentally installing mismatched spring rates on your suspension. Whether you're adjusting for softer handling on rocky terrain, stiffer response on smooth courses, or seeking that perfect middle ground for all-around driving, these springs deliver the engineering precision that separates quality RC products from mediocre alternatives.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What spring rate should I choose for my Rock Krawler shock? — The choice depends on your driving style, terrain and vehicle weight. Softer springs (Yellow 0.4 and White 0.8 rates) provide a more compliant ride on rough terrain, while stiffer springs (Red 1.6 and Blue 2.0 rates) offer more responsive handling and body control on smoother surfaces. The assortment lets you test multiple rates to discover what works best for your specific setup and driving conditions, which is why many experienced RC enthusiasts value having this complete range available.
- How many springs do I need for a complete setup? — This assortment contains enough springs for one complete pair of shocks, meaning you can outfit both sides of your RC vehicle with matching spring rates. If you run dual spring shocks (like the Z-D0048 model), you would have sufficient springs to adjust both the inner and outer springs on one pair of shocks, or the primary springs on both sides of your vehicle.
- Are these springs genuine RC4WD components? — Yes, these are authentic RC4WD Rock Krawler shock springs manufactured to the same quality standards as all genuine RC4WD components. RC Model Shop is an authorised RC4WD retailer, so you can be confident you're purchasing genuine products with full warranty support.
- Can I use these springs on other shock brands? — These springs are specifically engineered for RC4WD Rock Krawler 110mm shocks and the RC4WD Rock Krawler RRD Emulsion Scale Dual Spring Shocks (Z-D0048). While some users may find them compatible with other 110mm shocks, RC4WD cannot guarantee performance or fitment on non-RC4WD suspension components, so we recommend confirming compatibility before purchase if you're using different shock hardware.
- How do I identify which spring rate I'm currently running? — Each spring in this assortment has a colour marking on the bottom: Blue for 2.0 rate, Red for 1.6 rate, White for 0.8 rate, and Yellow for 0.4 rate. Simply remove your current springs and check for these colour markings to identify your existing spring rate.
- What's the difference between the four spring rates? — Spring rate is measured in how much force is required to compress the spring a given distance. The higher the number (2.0 for Blue), the stiffer the spring and the more force needed to compress it. Stiffer springs (higher rates) maintain vehicle ride height better with heavy loads and provide firmer suspension response, whilst softer springs (lower rates) compress more easily to absorb impacts on rough terrain. Having all four rates available lets you fine-tune this critical suspension characteristic.
