Overview

The Volantex Servo Horns (Small 2) represent essential replacement components for RC model plane enthusiasts across the UK who rely on Volantex aircraft for their flying adventures. These precision-engineered servo horns are specifically designed for both 400mm and 500mm Volantex RC planes, making them an indispensable spare part for anyone operating these popular brushless models. Whether you're a seasoned RC plane pilot or a newcomer to the world of fixed-wing RC flying, having quality replacement servo horns on hand ensures your aircraft remains flight-ready and performing at its best.

Servo horns are critical components that connect your servo motors to the control surfaces of your RC plane, translating the electronic signals from your receiver into physical movements of the ailerons, elevators, and rudder. The Volantex Servo Horns (Small 2) are engineered to provide reliable, responsive control linkage for your aircraft, ensuring precise and predictable handling characteristics during flight. These small but mighty components are compatible with Volantex model codes 768-4 and 768-5, covering a wide range of Volantex's brushless aircraft lineup.

For RC plane enthusiasts in the UK seeking dependable replacement servo horns, the Volantex product represents excellent value and proven compatibility with multiple aircraft platforms. The compact design of these small servo horns makes them ideal for the reduced-scale fuselage dimensions of 400mm and 500mm wingspan aircraft, where space is at a premium and lightweight construction is essential for optimal flight performance and battery efficiency.

Key Features

  • Universal Compatibility — These servo horns are designed to work with both 768-4 and 768-5 Volantex RC planes, as well as 400mm and 500mm variants across the Volantex range, meaning a single purchase covers multiple aircraft types and eliminates the need to stock different horn sizes for different models.
  • Small Size Designation — Designated as Small 2 horns, these components are precision-sized to match the servo specifications of Volantex's compact brushless aircraft, ensuring proper leverage and control authority without adding unnecessary weight or bulk to your model.
  • Durable Construction — Volantex servo horns are manufactured to withstand the stresses of repeated control inputs and flight operations, providing longevity and reliability through countless flight sessions.
  • Precise Fit — These horns are engineered specifically for Volantex servo systems, guaranteeing a perfect fit and reliable connection to your servo motor output shaft without slipping or play.
  • Quick Replacement — Having spare servo horns readily available means you can quickly repair your aircraft after minor control linkage wear or damage, minimising downtime between flights.
  • Cost-Effective Spares Solution — At just £0.95 including VAT, these servo horns represent an affordable way to keep your RC planes in top condition and avoid expensive complete servo replacements.

Technical Performance

The Volantex Servo Horns (Small 2) are engineered with precision manufacturing standards that ensure compatibility across the Volantex brushless aircraft range. These horns are specifically designed for integration with micro servos commonly found in 400mm and 500mm wingspan RC planes, where weight and balance are critical factors affecting flight characteristics and battery runtime. The small size designation indicates these horns are optimised for the reduced scale of compact aircraft, providing appropriate mechanical advantage and control throw range for precision flying. The servo horns utilise standard connection methods compatible with Volantex servo systems, allowing for straightforward installation and reliable operation through multiple flight cycles. The durable material composition ensures these components resist fatigue from repeated control inputs whilst maintaining dimensional accuracy that prevents slippage or play in the control linkage. For RC plane enthusiasts operating Volantex models in the UK, whether flying sport aircraft or scale replicas, these servo horns provide the dependable control interface necessary for predictable and responsive aircraft handling.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Which Volantex RC planes are compatible with these servo horns? — These servo horns are specifically designed for Volantex models 768-4 and 768-5, and work with both the 400mm and 500mm variants of Volantex brushless aircraft. If you're uncertain about your specific model, check your aircraft documentation or contact our team for confirmation before ordering.
  • Why would I need replacement servo horns for my RC plane? — Servo horns can become worn through repeated control inputs, damaged in crashes or hard landings, or lost entirely during aircraft incidents. Having spare horns ensures you can quickly restore your aircraft to flying condition without waiting for new components to arrive.
  • Are these horns suitable for beginners flying Volantex planes? — Absolutely. These are standard replacement components that any RC plane operator can install, and having spares on hand is recommended even for beginners to minimise downtime and keep your aircraft ready for flying.
  • What is the difference between these Small 2 horns and other servo horn sizes? — The Small 2 designation indicates these horns are optimised for the compact servo systems used in 400mm and 500mm Volantex aircraft, providing the correct size and mechanical characteristics for these smaller planes. Larger aircraft would require different horn sizes.
  • How do I install these servo horns on my aircraft? — Servo horns simply slide onto the output shaft of your servo and are secured with a small screw or pin. Remove the old horn by unscrewing or removing the fastener, slide the new horn onto the shaft in the correct orientation, and secure with the fastener. Ensure your control linkage is properly connected before flying.
  • How many servo horns should I keep as spares? — Most RC planes have three servos (aileron, elevator, and rudder), so keeping at least 3-6 spare horns is recommended. This ensures you can handle wear or damage on any control surface without immediate reordering.
