Overview
If you're a serious RC enthusiast running a Losi Mini-B 2.0 and find yourself constantly replacing broken A-arms, RPM has engineered the perfect solution. The RPM Heavy Duty Rear A-Arms (RPM72312) represent a significant upgrade over stock Losi components, delivering the durability and performance you need for aggressive driving and demanding terrain. Whether you're bashing on weekends or competing in club races across the UK, these rear A-arms are purpose-built to withstand the punishment that breaks standard parts, keeping your RC buggy on the track rather than in the workshop.
RPM's engineering philosophy focuses on strengthening components exactly where they fail. Rather than adding weight unnecessarily, these heavy duty rear A-arms use premium engineering-grade nylon materials to increase durability where it matters most. The result is a set of replacement suspension arms that maintain the lightweight characteristics essential for performance whilst dramatically improving longevity and reliability. For any UK RC car owner serious about reducing maintenance costs and maximising track time, this is an upgrade worth making immediately.
These rear A-arms are precision-engineered in America using the same exacting standards that RPM applies to all its suspension components. The manufacturing quality is immediately evident when you handle them, and the thoughtful design details show engineers who understand exactly what breaks in real-world RC driving conditions. Trust in American-made engineering and join thousands of RC enthusiasts across the UK who have switched to RPM suspension upgrades for their Losi Mini-B buggies.
Key Features
- Inner hinge pin bosses 20% thicker than stock — The inner hinge pin boss is one of the most frequently damaged areas on stock Losi A-arms, particularly when running aggressive suspension geometry or landing hard jumps. By increasing thickness by roughly 20% compared to current generation Losi components, RPM has dramatically extended the service life of this critical stress point, and the improvement is even more pronounced compared to first-generation Losi A-arms.
- Overall thickness increased by 25% — Beyond just the hinge pin boss, RPM has beefed up the entire A-arm structure with a 25% increase in overall thickness throughout the component. This comprehensive strengthening approach distributes loads more effectively across the entire arm, preventing the stress concentration that causes premature failure in thinner stock components.
- Support beams 50% thicker than stock — Support beams on stock Losi A-arms vary in thickness, with some sections being considerably thinner than ideal. RPM's engineering team has made these beams consistently thick throughout, delivering roughly 50% more material than the thinnest stock supports. This provides substantially better lateral support and prevents flex under cornering loads.
- Unique shock surround protection — The innovative shock surround design captures and protects the lower shock pivot ball, which is fully exposed on stock A-arms and extremely vulnerable to damage from rocks, debris and hard impacts. By surrounding this critical component, the A-arm itself now strikes obstacles first, protecting the more delicate shock mounting point and significantly reducing repair costs.
- Premium engineering-grade nylon construction — RPM selects from some of the best engineering-grade nylon materials available in the RC industry, providing an optimal balance between strength and weight. These advanced polymers offer superior impact resistance and durability compared to lower-grade plastics, ensuring your investment in heavy duty A-arms delivers genuine long-term value.
- Lightweight performance design — Despite all the strengthening upgrades, these A-arms remain lightweight, which is essential for maintaining the handling characteristics and acceleration that make the Losi Mini-B such a capable platform. You get durability without sacrificing the responsive, nimble performance that defines this popular 1/16 buggy.
- American-made quality and engineering — RPM manufactures these components in America using rigorous quality control standards, ensuring consistency and reliability in every set. When you choose RPM, you're supporting quality manufacturing and investing in components engineered by people who understand RC racing and bashing inside out.
Technical Performance
The RPM Heavy Duty Rear A-Arms for the Losi Mini-B 2.0 represent a comprehensive engineering upgrade to the suspension system on this popular 1/16 scale buggy. Built from premium engineering-grade nylon, these components deliver unmatched durability through strategic material distribution rather than blanket oversizing. The inner hinge pin bosses are roughly 20% thicker than current generation Losi stock components, addressing the most common failure point in aggressive driving conditions. Combined with a 25% increase in overall A-arm thickness and support beams that are consistently 50% thicker than the thinnest stock supports, the complete package creates a suspension arm that can handle the demands of serious RC bashers and club racers throughout the UK. The unique shock surround protection feature is particularly clever engineering, capturing the lower shock pivot ball that is exposed and vulnerable on stock arms, meaning the A-arm structure absorbs impacts rather than the shock mounting point. This design philosophy — strengthening in all the right places without unnecessary weight gain — is what separates RPM components from generic aftermarket parts. Whether you're running 2S LiPo power on tarmac circuits or aggressive terrain bashings, these rear A-arms provide the durability foundation that allows you to focus on driving rather than maintenance.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Will these rear A-arms fit my Losi Mini-B 2.0? — Yes, these heavy duty rear A-arms are specifically designed as a direct replacement for the rear A-arms on the Losi Mini-B 2.0 buggy. They replace the stock Losi part number LOS214003. However, these arms are not compatible with the original Mini-T or Mini-T 2.0 models, so please verify your vehicle model before purchasing.
- How much more durable are RPM heavy duty A-arms than stock? — The durability improvements are substantial and measurable. The inner hinge pin bosses are roughly 20% thicker than stock current-generation Losi components (and dramatically thicker than first-generation arms), the overall A-arm thickness is increased by roughly 25%, and the support beams are roughly 50% thicker than some of the thinner stock supports. These upgrades work together to create dramatically improved longevity in real-world driving.
- Why is the shock surround protection feature important? — On stock Losi A-arms, the shock pivot ball is fully exposed and vulnerable to impacts from rocks, roots, jumps and rough terrain. The unique shock surround on these RPM arms captures and protects that critical component, meaning the A-arm structure absorbs impacts first rather than the shock mounting point. This design detail alone can save you significant money in shock repairs and replacements.
- Are these heavier than stock A-arms? — Despite the substantial thickness increases throughout the design, these heavy duty A-arms remain lightweight because RPM uses premium engineering-grade nylon materials that offer superior strength-to-weight ratios compared to lower-grade plastics. You gain durability without sacrificing the responsive handling that makes the Losi Mini-B such a capable platform.
- Are these suitable for beginners? — Absolutely. If you're new to RC buggies and planning to run a Losi Mini-B 2.0, upgrading to RPM heavy duty rear A-arms from the start is an excellent investment. Stock A-arms are a common failure point, and these RPM upgrades will keep your buggy running reliably whilst you develop your driving skills without constant maintenance interruptions.
- What is the difference between RPM heavy duty A-arms and stock Losi arms? — The key differences are: stock Losi A-arms have thinner inner hinge pin bosses that fail under stress, thinner overall construction, inconsistently thin support beams, and an exposed shock pivot ball vulnerable to debris damage. RPM heavy duty arms address every one of these weaknesses through thicker bosses (20%), thicker overall structure (25%), consistently thick beams (50% thicker than stock thin sections), and the innovative shock surround protection that shields the shock mounting point.
- Where are RPM A-arms manufactured? — RPM manufactures these components in America using exacting quality control standards and premium engineering-grade nylon materials. American-made quality and engineering expertise go into every set.
