Key Features

  • Colour coded and laser etched for easier identification — The 2.0mm driver features colour coding and laser etching on the handle, making it simple to quickly identify the correct size driver from your tool collection without squinting at small markings or fumbling through multiple options during your RC work sessions.
  • Ergonomic handle design — The handle has been specifically engineered to fit in your hand more comfortably than smaller standard drivers, providing better control and reducing hand fatigue during extended RC assembly and maintenance work.
  • Improved grip in challenging conditions — The ergonomic handle provides excellent grip even when your hands are slick from oil and grease, ensuring you maintain full control of the driver while working on your RC models and preventing slips that could damage fasteners or your RC equipment.
  • Dedicated 2.0mm metric sizing — This driver is specifically sized for 2.0mm hex fasteners, providing a perfect fit that minimises the risk of fastener damage compared to using oversized or undersized drivers on your RC cars and trucks.
  • Easier to use than most alternatives — Method RC has designed this tool to be more intuitive and user-friendly than typical hex drivers, making RC maintenance more accessible and enjoyable for enthusiasts of all skill levels.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is the Method RC 2.0mm Hex Driver suitable for beginners in RC hobbies? — Absolutely. Beginners especially benefit from having the correct size driver because it prevents the common mistake of using oversized tools that can damage fasteners. The ergonomic design and colour coding make this tool accessible and easy to use for anyone new to RC car assembly and maintenance, whether you're building your first brushless RC truck or learning to maintain your RC collection.
  • What makes this driver better than a standard hex driver set? — This dedicated 2.0mm driver from Method RC is purpose-built for RC applications, featuring ergonomic design, improved grip, colour coding for quick identification, and laser etching that won't wear off like printed labels. Standard multi-driver sets often have handles that are too small and grip surfaces that are inadequate for working with slippery hands, making dedicated RC-specific tools worth the investment.
  • Can I use this driver on all my RC models? — This 2.0mm driver is designed specifically for 2.0mm hex fasteners. Many RC vehicles use 2.0mm fasteners, but your specific RC car, buggy, or truck may use different sizes. For optimal results and to avoid damaging fasteners, always ensure you're using the correct driver size for your model. Method RC produces drivers in multiple metric sizes to cover all common RC applications.
  • Why should I invest in a dedicated RC hex driver instead of using generic tools? — RC fasteners and models are precision-engineered, and using correctly sized, purpose-designed tools ensures you maintain that precision. Generic tools often lead to fastener damage, stripped threads, and frustration. A dedicated RC hex driver like this Method RC 2.0mm tool costs very little but provides significant benefits in terms of build quality, ease of use, and protection for your valuable RC models. This is one of those tools that seems simple but makes a genuine difference to the RC hobby experience.
  • Is this tool durable for regular use? — Yes. Method RC tools are manufactured to professional standards and designed to withstand regular RC hobby use. The laser etching won't fade like printed markings, and the ergonomic handle is built to last through countless RC assembly and maintenance sessions. Proper tool care means this driver will remain a reliable part of your toolkit for years.
