Technical Performance
The Centre Distribution Housing is a fundamental drivetrain component that sits at the heart of your FTX Outback Hi-Rock's mechanical system. In a 1/10 scale 4WD rock crawler, the centre distribution housing (also known as a centre gear box or transfer case in some platforms) manages the distribution of engine or motor power to the front and rear axles, allowing independent control and traction management across all four wheels. The component must withstand significant twisting forces (torque), shock loads from impacts and obstacle contact, and the constant stress of low-speed, high-traction rock crawling. FTX engineers this component from durable materials selected for strength and durability whilst maintaining the precise tolerances necessary for smooth operation. The housing maintains perfect alignment of internal gears and drive shafts, which is critical for maintaining the efficiency and handling characteristics your Outback Hi-Rock is famous for. Whether you're running standard or modified setups, this genuine FTX component ensures your drivetrain operates at peak efficiency, translating motor or engine power directly into trail-conquering performance across all four wheels.
