Overview

The FMS Beaver V2 2000mm Linkage Rods are precision-engineered replacement parts designed to enhance flight stability and control responsiveness on the FMS Beaver V2 large-scale RC aircraft. These linkage rods are essential components that connect your servo systems to the control surfaces, directly influencing how effectively your aircraft responds to control inputs. Whether you're an experienced RC pilot looking to maintain your fleet or someone new to large-scale RC aviation in the UK, having quality replacement linkage rods on hand ensures your aircraft performs at its best every time you take to the skies.

As a dedicated RC hobbyist, you'll appreciate that linkage rods are critical to maintaining precise flight control and stability. The FMS Beaver V2 is renowned for its excellent handling characteristics, and these 2000mm linkage rods are specifically engineered to support that performance. Whether you're flying cross-country, performing aerobatic manoeuvres, or simply enjoying relaxed weekend flying sessions, reliable linkage rods ensure consistent, predictable aircraft behaviour and reduce the risk of control lag or inconsistency that can occur with worn or damaged components.

These replacement parts are perfect for hobbyists who want to maintain their RC aircraft to the highest standards. The 2000mm specification ensures perfect compatibility with the Beaver V2 platform, giving you confidence that you're installing components engineered and tested by FMS specifically for your aircraft. Stock these linkage rods in your spare parts kit and ensure you're always ready for your next flying adventure.

Key Features

  • 2000mm Length Specification — These linkage rods measure exactly 2000mm, ensuring perfect fit and compatibility with the FMS Beaver V2 airframe and control system architecture. Correct length is absolutely critical for proper servo travel and control surface response, making this specification essential for accurate replacement.
  • Enhanced Flight Stability — Precision-manufactured linkage rods maintain exact control surface positioning and responsiveness, directly contributing to improved flight stability and more predictable aircraft behaviour during all phases of flight including climb, cruise, descent and manoeuvres.
  • Direct Servo-to-Control Surface Connection — These rods form the mechanical link between your servo motors and the aircraft's control surfaces, translating electronic servo signals into precise physical control surface movement. A quality linkage rod connection ensures zero lost motion and true servo authority.
  • FMS Original Equipment Specification — Manufactured to FMS engineering standards and specifications, these linkage rods are the genuine solution for maintaining your Beaver V2 to factory performance levels and ensuring compatibility with the rest of your aircraft system.
  • Replacement Part Solution — Perfect for pilots who need to replace worn, damaged or bent linkage rods without purchasing an entirely new airframe. Stock these in your maintenance kit for quick repairs and turnaround between flights.

Technical Performance

The FMS Beaver V2 2000mm Linkage Rods represent precision engineering designed specifically for large-scale RC aircraft applications. Linkage rods are fundamental to aircraft control systems, serving as the mechanical transmission between electronic servo motors and the physical control surfaces (ailerons, elevators, rudder and throttle linkages). The 2000mm length has been engineered to match the Beaver V2's airframe geometry and servo placement, ensuring that servo travel translates directly into proportional control surface deflection without binding, slack or excessive lost motion. Quality linkage rods maintain consistent mechanical advantage and response characteristics throughout the full range of servo travel, which is essential for smooth, predictable flight control. The engineering ensures that pilot inputs from your RC transmitter result in immediate, proportional aircraft response, whether you're making gentle trim adjustments or executing sharp manoeuvres. In the context of large-scale RC aircraft operations, maintaining quality linkage rod connections is one of the most important elements of pre-flight inspection and regular maintenance, as any play or wear in these connections directly impacts control accuracy and flight safety.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Why do I need replacement linkage rods for my FMS Beaver V2? — Linkage rods are mechanical components that connect your servo motors to control surfaces and experience wear over time from vibration, temperature changes and flight loads. Replacing worn linkage rods restores control system responsiveness and prevents the control lag or sloppiness that occurs as components wear. Additionally, if you crash or have a hard landing, linkage rods can bend or break, requiring replacement to return your aircraft to safe flying condition.
  • How do I know if my linkage rods need replacing? — Signs of worn or damaged linkage rods include loose or sloppy control surfaces that move excessively when you apply pressure by hand, visible bending or cracking in the rods themselves, inconsistent servo response where inputs feel delayed or unresponsive, and any rattling or clunking sounds coming from the linkage system during flight or handling. Regular pre-flight inspection of all linkage rod connections is best practice for RC aircraft pilots.
  • Are these rods compatible with other aircraft? — These 2000mm linkage rods are specifically engineered for the FMS Beaver V2 and are designed to match that airframe's servo placement and control geometry. Whilst the basic principle of linkage rods is universal, the specific length, attachment points and mechanical arrangement must match your aircraft. Always verify compatibility with your specific aircraft model before purchase.
  • What tools do I need to install these linkage rods? — Installation typically requires basic RC tools including servo linkage tools, small screwdrivers, and potentially a small wrench depending on how your linkage rod ends are attached to the servo arms and control horns. Consult your Beaver V2 manual or assembly documentation for specific installation procedures and torque specifications.
  • Is this suitable for beginners? — Linkage rod replacement is an intermediate-level maintenance task suitable for pilots with basic RC knowledge and tools. Beginners can certainly perform this maintenance with reference to the aircraft manual and by taking care to match existing linkage rod arrangements precisely. If you're new to RC aircraft maintenance, having an experienced pilot check your work before flying is recommended.
