The Fastrax Racing Pure Silicone Oil 90Wt is a premium shock and differential oil designed for serious RC enthusiasts and competitive drivers across the UK. Whether you're running an off-road buggy, crawler, truggy, or any high-performance RC car, this 90-weight oil delivers the precision tuning you need to stay ahead of the competition. Silicone oil is the gold standard for RC shock and differential applications, offering superior consistency and stability across varying temperature ranges and driving conditions.

This new range of oils has been rigorously tested and developed over 12 months by some of Europe's leading drivers. Testing has been conducted in conditions ranging from the heat of Spain to the rain of the UK, ensuring the best levels of consistency and performance possible. The drivers involved all commented that they have never come across oils that offer as much consistency and progression through the range as these new Fastrax oils. Whether you're competing in a national championship or enjoying weekend bashing with your RC car, the 90Wt formulation provides the perfect balance of flow and damping characteristics for demanding driving scenarios.

The vast range of viscosity options enabled professional drivers to tune their cars for all conditions, making Fastrax oils the choice for winners. The convenient easy-pour lid makes changing oil quick and straightforward, transforming what many consider a chore into simple maintenance you can complete in moments. If you are looking to make the winners circle, then choose Fastrax oils for your RC car UK setup.

Technical Performance

The Fastrax Racing Pure Silicone Oil 90Wt is engineered to provide precise damping characteristics for shock absorbers and differentials across all types of competitive RC vehicles. At 90 weight, this oil delivers medium-to-heavy viscosity suitable for high-speed driving, aggressive cornering, and demanding track conditions. Pure silicone construction ensures the oil maintains consistent viscosity across temperature variations, a critical factor when driving in the unpredictable UK climate or in competitive environments where conditions can change rapidly. The 90Wt formulation strikes the perfect balance between flow and damping force, allowing energy to be dissipated smoothly through suspension components whilst maintaining responsive handling characteristics. This weight is particularly effective for drivers who run lower-spring rates or prefer a more compliant suspension setup. The oil's exceptional stability means you can rely on consistent performance throughout a race meeting or extended driving session, with no degradation in damping properties as temperatures rise. Whether you're tuning a 1/10 scale RC buggy, 1/8 scale truggy, or crawler, the 90Wt viscosity provides the control needed for precision driving and competitive advantage.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What weight of shock oil should I use in my RC car? — The weight you choose depends on your suspension setup and driving style. The 90Wt formulation is a medium-to-heavy weight suitable for high-speed driving and aggressive cornering. Lighter weights offer more suspension compliance, whilst heavier weights provide stiffer damping. The extensive Fastrax range lets you experiment and find the perfect weight for your specific RC vehicle and track conditions.
  • Is Fastrax Racing Pure Silicone Oil 90Wt suitable for beginners? — Absolutely. Whilst this oil has been tested by professional European drivers, the 90Wt weight is a versatile choice for any RC enthusiast. Beginners will benefit from the exceptional consistency and precision tuning capabilities, making it easier to dial in the perfect setup for their RC car UK experience.
  • What makes pure silicone oil better than standard shock oil? — Pure silicone oil offers superior consistency across temperature ranges and driving conditions, meaning your RC car's suspension will respond predictably whether you're driving in the heat of summer or the cool UK autumn. This consistency is why professional drivers prefer silicone oils for competition.
  • Can I use this oil in any RC car? — This oil is suitable for shock absorbers and differentials in any RC car, truck, buggy, crawler, or truggy. Always check your vehicle's manual for recommended viscosity specifications, though the 90Wt weight is a popular choice across most modern RC vehicles.
  • How often should I change my RC shock oil? — For casual drivers, oil can last a full season with regular use. Competitive drivers typically change oil more frequently, especially when adjusting setup or after racing in particularly challenging conditions. The easy-pour lid design makes frequent changes hassle-free.
  • Why do professional drivers choose Fastrax oils? — The exceptional consistency and progression through the weight range, combined with proven performance in diverse testing conditions, makes Fastrax the choice of European championship drivers who demand reliability and precision tuning capabilities.
