Overview
The Fastrax Racing Pure Silicone Oil 75Wt is a premium shock and differential oil specifically formulated for RC car enthusiasts who demand consistency, performance and reliability across all driving conditions. Whether you are a competitive racer fine-tuning your 1/10 scale buggy, a weekend basher enjoying RC cars in the UK, or a serious competitor preparing for the next race event, this 75 weight silicone oil offers the precision tuning capability you need to optimise your vehicle's handling characteristics. The 75Wt rating sits in the mid-range of the Fastrax oil lineup, making it an excellent choice for drivers seeking a balanced setup that performs well across varied track conditions and weather patterns.
Fastrax has invested significant development time into this new range of oils, with rigorous testing conducted over 12 months by some of Europe's leading drivers and competitors. The testing programme was deliberately comprehensive, evaluating performance in extreme conditions ranging from the intense heat of Spain to the persistent rain of the UK. This thorough validation ensures that the 75Wt oil maintains consistent viscosity and performance characteristics regardless of whether you are racing in summer sunshine or autumn downpours. Every driver involved in the development process has praised the exceptional consistency and smooth progression through the entire Fastrax oil range, with many commenting that they have never encountered oils offering such reliable tuning potential.
The extensive range of viscosity options available in the Fastrax line empowers you to precisely tune your RC car's suspension for all conditions, whether you need a lighter oil for high-speed track racing or a heavier formulation for technical courses. The inclusion of an easy pour lid makes changing oil and adjusting your setup quick and straightforward, transforming what can often be a frustrating task into a simple five-minute job. If your goal is to reach the winners circle and consistently achieve competitive results with your RC car, choosing Fastrax oils is the decision made by Europe's best drivers.

Technical Performance
The Fastrax Racing Pure Silicone Oil 75Wt has been engineered with meticulous attention to viscosity stability and thermal consistency. Pure silicone oils offer superior performance characteristics compared to alternative formulations because they maintain their viscosity across a wider temperature range, meaning your suspension setup tuned on a cold morning will perform identically during an afternoon session when ambient temperatures have risen. The 75 weight rating is positioned in the middle range of the Fastrax lineup, making it suitable for drivers seeking balanced suspension characteristics that perform well on varied track surfaces without requiring extreme oil weights. The oil's consistency is maintained through rigorous quality control and formulation refinement, with each batch tested to ensure it meets the demanding standards set by the professional drivers who contributed to its development. Whether you are using this oil in precision-engineered metal shock towers or in differential housings, the pure silicone formula will not degrade or separate under the stresses of competitive driving. The development process specifically evaluated performance across the full spectrum of European climate conditions, meaning you can confidently use this oil whether you are racing in a heated indoor facility, competing outdoors in variable weather, or practising during seasonal weather changes across the United Kingdom.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What weight silicone oil should I use for my RC car suspension? — The weight you choose depends on your driving style, track conditions and vehicle setup. The 75Wt oil is a balanced mid-range option suitable for most driving conditions and track types. Lighter weights like 30Wt or 50Wt will provide quicker suspension response and are preferred on high-grip tracks, while heavier weights like 100Wt or 150Wt are used for looser surfaces requiring more stability. Many drivers keep several weights in their pit box and adjust based on conditions.
- Is Fastrax Racing oil suitable for beginners? — Yes, absolutely. Whilst Fastrax oils are trusted by professional competitors, they are equally suitable for beginner and recreational RC car enthusiasts. Understanding how to adjust suspension oil weight is an essential skill for any RC driver, and using quality oils like Fastrax makes learning this aspect of car setup straightforward and effective.
- What makes pure silicone oil better than other types? — Pure silicone oils maintain consistent viscosity across temperature ranges far better than mineral or synthetic blends, which means your suspension tuning remains predictable whether you are racing in hot or cold conditions. This consistency is why professional competitors and precision-focused drivers prefer silicone oils for competition setups.
- How does the 75Wt compare to other weights in the Fastrax range? — The Fastrax range includes multiple weights with smooth progression between grades. The 75Wt sits in the middle of the range, offering balanced suspension characteristics. Lighter weights provide quicker response, whilst heavier weights offer more stability and resistance to movement. The smooth progression means you can predict the effects of moving up or down a weight grade.
- How much oil does one bottle contain? — The source materials do not specify the bottle volume, but standard RC shock oil bottles typically contain 75ml to 100ml, which is sufficient for multiple suspension adjustments or complete oil changes across a typical 1/10 scale RC car setup.
- Can I use this oil in both shocks and differentials? — Yes, pure silicone shock oils like the Fastrax 75Wt are suitable for use in both shock absorbers and differential units, providing flexible tuning options across your entire RC car suspension system.
