Whether you're campaigning a competitive RC buggy, monster truck, or crawler, this 70-weight silicone oil has been rigorously developed and tested by some of Europe's leading drivers to deliver exceptional performance across a wide range of conditions. From the scorching heat of Spanish racing circuits to the damp, challenging terrain of the UK, this oil maintains its properties and viscosity, ensuring your RC car's suspension and drivetrain perform at their peak regardless of weather or track conditions.

What sets Fastrax Racing Pure Silicone Oil apart is the obsessive attention to consistency and progression throughout the entire weight range. Drivers involved in the development process unanimously praised the oils for offering more consistency and linear tuning progression than any comparable product they had previously encountered. This means you can confidently adjust your setup by changing oil weights, knowing that each step will deliver predictable, measurable changes to your car's handling characteristics. The easy-pour lid design transforms what can be a messy, tedious task into something quick and straightforward, allowing you to spend more time driving and less time wrestling with containers. If you're serious about competitive RC performance in the UK RC car market, Fastrax Racing Pure Silicone Oil is an investment in consistency and results.

Available in multiple viscosity grades including this 70Wt formulation, Fastrax Racing Pure Silicone Oil delivers professional-grade performance without the professional-grade price tag. The 70-weight is ideal for standard conditions and provides an excellent baseline for tuning your RC vehicle. Stock a bottle in your pit box today and experience the difference that 12 months of development by Europe's best drivers can bring to your RC experience.

Technical Performance

The Fastrax Racing Pure Silicone Oil 70Wt is engineered as a pure silicone formulation, delivering exceptional performance across shock absorbers and differential assemblies in RC cars ranging from on-road racing buggies to off-road monster trucks and crawlers. The 70-weight viscosity rating places it in the middle of the Fastrax range, making it ideal for standard racing conditions and providing an excellent starting point for tuning. The oil's viscosity remains stable across temperature extremes, a critical requirement for UK RC racers who may encounter vastly different conditions from one race day to the next. The comprehensive testing programme involved racing in conditions ranging from the Mediterranean heat of Spanish circuits to the wet, cold, and unpredictable UK climate, ensuring the oil performs reliably regardless of environmental challenges. Drivers involved in development specifically praised the oil's consistency and the logical progression offered by the complete weight range, allowing for granular suspension tuning that translates directly into measurable handling improvements. The pure silicone construction ensures compatibility with all standard seals and components found in modern RC cars, whilst the easy-pour lid has been specifically designed for pit-box efficiency, eliminating spillage and mess during critical setup adjustments. Frequently Asked Questions

  • What viscosity weight should I choose for my RC car? — The 70Wt formulation is ideal for standard racing and bashing conditions, offering a balanced starting point for tuning. Fastrax offers a comprehensive range from lighter to heavier weights, allowing you to adjust oil viscosity based on track conditions, temperature, and your car's suspension requirements. Heavier weights (75Wt, 80Wt, 90Wt) slow suspension response and are useful in faster conditions or on smoother tracks, whilst lighter weights allow faster suspension movement in tighter conditions.
  • Is Fastrax Racing Pure Silicone Oil suitable for beginners? — Yes, absolutely. Whilst the oil was developed with competitive drivers in mind, it is equally suitable for beginners and weekend bashers. The 70Wt provides a reliable baseline that works well in most conditions, and the easy-pour lid makes maintenance straightforward for users of any experience level. The pure silicone construction is compatible with all standard RC car suspension and drivetrain components.
  • How does Fastrax Racing Pure Silicone Oil compare to other brands? — Fastrax oils were developed over 12 months by Europe's leading drivers and have been praised for offering exceptional consistency and progression throughout the weight range. Drivers reported that they had never encountered oils with as much predictable progression as Fastrax, making incremental tuning adjustments more reliable and measurable than with competing products. The oil maintains stable viscosity across extreme temperature ranges, from Spanish heat to UK rain, ensuring consistent performance regardless of conditions.
  • Will this oil work in UK racing conditions? — Fastrax Racing Pure Silicone Oil was specifically tested in UK conditions as part of its 12-month development programme, ensuring it performs reliably in the damp, cool, and unpredictable climate typical of British RC racing. The consistent viscosity across temperature ranges makes it ideal for UK racers who may encounter rapidly changing conditions throughout a single race day.
  • Can I use this oil in both shocks and differentials? — Yes, Fastrax Racing Pure Silicone Oil is formulated for use in both shock absorbers and differential assemblies. The pure silicone construction ensures compatibility with all standard seals and components in modern RC cars.
  • What makes the easy-pour lid design important? — The purpose-designed easy-pour lid eliminates spillage and mess during critical pit-box setup changes, saving valuable time during race days and ensuring you're not wasting product.
