Overview
The Fastrax 'Enduro' Head Gasket Aluminium 0.3mm (2) is an essential engine spare part designed for RC enthusiasts who maintain and tune nitro-powered RC cars and trucks. Whether you're a serious competitor running nitro engines at peak performance, a weekend basher keeping your RC truck in top condition, or an experienced modeller who understands the importance of proper engine maintenance, this genuine Fastrax component offers the precision engineering and reliability you need. Head gaskets are critical components in any nitro engine setup, as they seal the connection between the cylinder head and the engine block, preventing fuel and air leakage while maintaining consistent compression ratios.
For RC car UK enthusiasts running Fastrax Enduro engines or compatible nitro powerplants, having quality replacement gaskets on hand is essential for maintaining peak performance and engine longevity. The Enduro engine range is renowned for its durability and consistency, making it a popular choice across various RC vehicle types including buggies, trucks, and off-road models. This pack contains two gaskets, giving you spare parts for ongoing maintenance or the ability to keep a backup set for competition days and weekend racing sessions.
The 0.3mm thickness specification is precisely engineered to deliver the correct compression characteristics and seal integrity for Enduro-series engines. Nitro engines demand exact tolerances and high-quality components, and this genuine Fastrax gasket meets those demanding standards. Available now in stock at RC Model Shop, this is the perfect spare part to add to your RC maintenance kit.
Key Features
- Genuine Fastrax Component — This is an authentic Fastrax engine spare part, manufactured to the exacting standards and tolerances required for proper nitro engine operation, ensuring reliable performance and longevity of your engine investment.
- Aluminium Construction — The gasket is manufactured from high-quality aluminium, chosen for its excellent thermal conductivity, lightweight properties, and durability under the extreme heat cycles that nitro engines experience during operation.
- Precise 0.3mm Thickness — This exact thickness specification is engineered to maintain the correct compression ratio and seal integrity in Enduro-series engines, critical for consistent performance and preventing compression loss that would reduce power output.
- Pack of Two — You receive two gaskets in this pack, providing spare components for multiple engine rebuilds, competition backup, or sharing with fellow RC enthusiasts in your local RC car UK community.
- Essential Engine Maintenance Part — Head gaskets are wear components that should be replaced during regular engine maintenance and rebuilds, making this pack an important addition to any RC technician's spare parts inventory.
- Compatible with Fastrax Enduro Engines — Specifically designed for the popular Fastrax Enduro engine range, which is widely used across numerous RC vehicle platforms including RC buggies, RC trucks, and off-road competition models.
Technical Performance
Head gaskets are fundamental to maintaining engine performance and reliability in nitro-powered RC vehicles. The Fastrax Enduro head gasket at 0.3mm thickness is engineered to provide the optimal compression seal between the cylinder head and crankcase, preventing fuel mixture escape and maintaining the precise air-fuel ratios that nitro engines demand for peak performance. Aluminium construction offers superior heat dissipation properties, which is essential because nitro engines operate at extremely high temperatures — often exceeding 200°C during competition driving. The thermal properties of aluminium help distribute heat evenly across the gasket surface, reducing hotspots that could lead to premature wear or failure. This gasket is designed to withstand the repeated thermal cycling of race-day conditions, where engines are run at full throttle for extended periods, then cooled between heats. The 0.3mm specification is precision-engineered and must be matched exactly to your engine's design specifications; using the correct thickness ensures you maintain the manufacturer's intended compression ratio and combustion chamber design. For RC enthusiasts maintaining Fastrax Enduro engines — whether in buggies, short course trucks, or other RC vehicles — this is the correct replacement gasket. Regular gasket replacement during engine maintenance intervals is essential for preventing loss of performance, maintaining fuel efficiency, and preventing internal engine damage from compression loss.

Frequently Asked Questions
- When should I replace my nitro engine head gasket? — Head gaskets should be replaced during regular engine maintenance intervals, typically every 2-3 tanks of fuel or during complete engine rebuilds. If you notice loss of power, increased fuel consumption, or difficulty starting your RC engine, a worn gasket may be the cause and replacement should be considered.
- How do I know if this gasket is compatible with my engine? — This gasket is specifically designed for Fastrax Enduro-series engines. Check your engine documentation or contact RC Model Shop to confirm your engine model before ordering. Using the correct gasket thickness is critical for maintaining proper compression ratios.
- Why does gasket thickness matter? — The thickness of your head gasket directly affects the compression ratio of your engine. Using an incorrect thickness can reduce power output, cause running issues, and potentially damage your engine. The 0.3mm specification is precisely engineered for Enduro engines and should not be substituted with other thicknesses.
- Is this suitable for competition RC racing? — Yes, absolutely. This is a genuine Fastrax component designed to OEM specifications, making it suitable for competition drivers who demand reliability and performance consistency. Having spare gaskets available for race day is a mark of professional RC competition preparation.
- How many gaskets are included? — This pack contains two gaskets, providing you with spares for multiple engine rebuilds or allowing you to maintain a backup set for competition events.
- What tools do I need to install this gasket? — Installation requires basic engine maintenance tools including hex wrenches and screwdrivers to disassemble your engine head. If you're unfamiliar with nitro engine maintenance, many experienced RC shops and local RC car UK communities offer engine servicing support and tuition.
