The Etronix JST In Series Cable (ET0702) is a compact and practical harness solution designed for RC enthusiasts and electronics hobbyists who need to connect multiple JST-equipped power sources in series. This clever little cable allows you to combine two separate JST inputs into a single JST output, effectively doubling your operating voltage whilst maintaining a neat and tidy installation. Whether you're building a space-constrained RC model, upgrading your RC car UK setup, or working on specialised electronics projects like LED lighting or FPV gear, this series cable offers a reliable and organised way to manage your power leads without the mess of loose connections or improvised solutions.
The Etronix brand is recognised for delivering quality electronic components and accessories that serious RC builders trust. The ET0702 is no exception—it's engineered to be lightweight and compact, making it ideal for small RC models where every millimetre of space counts. If you're running a ready to run RC vehicle or building a custom setup, this cable bridges the gap between your power sources and your equipment with professional reliability. The series-wired design ensures that voltage is properly combined, giving you the higher operating voltage your device needs for optimal performance.
This product is essential for anyone serious about getting the most from their RC hobby in the UK and beyond. It removes the guesswork from power management and gives you confidence that your connections are safe, secure, and properly configured. From experienced RC competitors to weekend bashers discovering the world of RC for the first time, having the right accessories makes all the difference.
Key Features
- Series-wired JST harness design — This cable connects two JST-equipped power sources in series to create a single output, allowing you to combine battery voltage effectively and safely without needing to solder or improvise your own connections.
- Compact and lightweight construction — The minimal profile and weight make this ideal for small models and space-constrained builds where every gram matters, ensuring your RC car UK project remains responsive and efficient.
- Universal JST compatibility — Works with any device that uses standard JST power connectors, making it a versatile addition to your RC hobby toolkit whether you're working with battery leads, LED systems, or FPV equipment.
- Neat and reliable installation — Replaces messy homebrew solutions with a professionally manufactured harness that keeps your wiring tidy, reduces connection failures, and makes troubleshooting easier.
- eTronix quality assurance — Manufactured by eTronix, a brand trusted across the RC community for producing reliable components that withstand the demands of serious hobby use.
- Verified polarity and safety — Comes ready to use with correct polarity configuration, though users should always verify connections before powering equipment to ensure compatibility with their specific setup.
Technical Performance
The Etronix JST In Series Cable represents sound engineering principles applied to a simple but essential accessory. The cable is constructed using quality materials that ensure reliable electrical conductivity and mechanical durability. Its design accommodates standard JST connectors—the industry-recognised standard for RC power leads—meaning it integrates seamlessly with most modern RC models and electronics. The series configuration means that when you connect two power sources through this cable, their voltages add together at the output. For example, connecting two 3S LiPo batteries in series through this cable would provide 6S voltage output, doubling the operating voltage available to your equipment. This makes the ET0702 particularly valuable for devices that require higher voltage input than a single battery can provide. The compact size ensures minimal weight penalty, critical for any RC vehicle where mass directly impacts performance, acceleration, and handling. Whether you're running a brushless RC system or any other JST-based equipment, this cable manages the power interface with electrical reliability and mechanical strength. The harness has been engineered to withstand the vibrations, temperature variations, and electrical stresses common in RC use, ensuring consistent performance across multiple sessions and conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What exactly does a JST in series cable do? — This cable allows you to connect two separate JST-equipped power sources (typically batteries) in series, combining their voltages into a single output. If you connect two 3S batteries in series through this cable, you get 6S voltage at the output connector. This is essential when your equipment requires higher voltage than a single battery can provide.
- Is the Etronix JST In Series Cable suitable for beginners? — Yes, this cable is perfect for beginners who want to avoid soldering or creating custom connections. It provides a pre-made, safe way to combine power sources. However, you must verify polarity and ensure your equipment is designed for series battery connection before use.
- What types of RC models and equipment can use this cable? — This cable is compatible with any device using JST power connectors, including small RC models, RC car UK builds, LED lighting systems, FPV gear, and general electronics projects. If your equipment has JST connectors and is rated for the combined voltage you'll be providing, this cable will work.
- How do I ensure safe use of this cable? — Always verify the polarity of your connections before powering any equipment. Ensure that the combined voltage output from your two power sources is compatible with your device's specifications. Check that your equipment is explicitly designed for series battery connection. Never exceed the voltage or current ratings of your device.
- What is the difference between series and parallel connection? — In series connection (which this cable provides), voltages add together but current capacity remains limited to the lowest source. In parallel connection, voltage stays the same but current capacity increases. This cable is specifically for series connection, making it ideal when you need higher voltage output.
- Can I use this cable with any JST connector? — This cable is designed for standard JST connectors commonly used in RC applications. Always verify your equipment uses the same JST standard before purchasing. The cable comes ready to use with correct polarity configuration.
