Overview

The eTronix Power ParaBoard is an essential accessory for RC enthusiasts who want to streamline their battery charging workflow. This 6-pack parallel charging board enables you to balance charge up to six lithium battery packs simultaneously, provided they share the same cell count. Whether you're a serious RC racer, a weekend basher, or someone exploring the RC hobby for the first time, this device transforms your charging routine by allowing you to make full use of high-power chargers and significantly reduce overall charge time. For anyone running multiple LiPo batteries across their RC car UK fleet, the ParaBoard represents a major time-saving investment that pays for itself quickly.

Parallel charging with the eTronix Power ParaBoard means you can charge six identical cell-count batteries in one operation instead of sequentially, allowing you to get back to the track, field or trail faster than ever before. The board features XH balance ports that support 2S through 6S lithium packs, making it compatible with the vast majority of modern RC car, drone and helicopter setups. The inclusion of a 4mm connector with housing ensures straightforward integration with your existing charger infrastructure, whilst the durable construction guarantees long life and reliable performance through countless charge cycles.

Built with selected quality materials, the ParaBoard has been rigorously tested to ensure it can handle the demands of serious RC enthusiasts. Its robust engineering means you can charge with confidence, knowing your expensive battery packs are protected by intelligent design and built-in safety features including a 40A inline fuse that guards against unexpected electrical issues.

Key Features

  • Parallel Balance Charging for Six Batteries — The ParaBoard allows you to charge up to six lithium battery packs in parallel simultaneously, which means you can charge all your batteries in a single operation rather than waiting for each one to finish sequentially, dramatically reducing your total charging time and getting you back to your RC experience faster.
  • XH Balance Port Compatibility (2S–6S) — With six sets of balance ports covering 2S, 3S, 4S, 5S and 6S configurations, the board works with nearly all modern lithium battery packs used in RC cars, trucks, buggies and crawlers, allowing your charger's balance function to monitor and equalise cell voltages across all connected packs simultaneously.
  • 4mm Connector with Housing — The included 4mm connector features protective housing that ensures safe, straightforward connection to your charger's main power output, reducing the risk of accidental short circuits and making the connection process intuitive even for newer RC hobbyists.
  • Same Cell Count Requirement — Batteries connected to the ParaBoard must share the same cell count (all 3S, all 4S, etc.) to charge safely and effectively, which ensures optimal voltage balance across all packs and prevents damage to your battery investment.
  • Tested to 25A Continuous Current — The ParaBoard has been fully tested under 25 amperes of continuous current, demonstrating its reliability and stability during extended charging sessions with high-power chargers commonly used by serious RC enthusiasts.
  • Safe to 35A for Short Periods — For burst charging applications lasting 10–30 minutes, the board can safely handle up to 35 amperes, providing flexibility for those who need maximum speed in their charging routine without sacrificing safety.
  • Built-in 40A Inline Fuse — An integral 40-ampere fuse protects both the ParaBoard and your connected batteries from electrical faults, providing peace of mind and ensuring that unexpected power surges cannot damage your equipment or create fire hazards.
  • Durable Quality Construction — Manufactured from selected quality materials, the ParaBoard is engineered for long life and dependable performance, making it a permanent fixture in any serious RC battery charging station.

Technical Performance

The eTronix Power ParaBoard represents intelligent engineering designed specifically for the needs of RC hobbyists who operate multiple battery packs. The board's construction utilises selected quality materials chosen for their electrical conductivity, durability and resistance to the wear and tear associated with repeated charging cycles. Performance testing has confirmed that the ParaBoard maintains stable operation under continuous 25-ampere loads, with the ability to handle brief surge conditions at 35 amperes for 10–30 minute periods—ideal for rapid top-up charging before important races or events. The 4mm connector with housing provides a robust electrical interface that minimises resistance losses whilst preventing accidental contact that could cause short circuits. With support for 2S through 6S balance ports, the ParaBoard accommodates the full range of lithium battery configurations commonly found in modern RC cars, trucks, buggies and specialist crawler setups across the UK and beyond. The built-in 40-ampere inline fuse acts as a critical safety barrier, interrupting current flow if any fault condition is detected, thereby protecting your expensive LiPo batteries and preventing potential fire hazards. The parallel charging architecture means voltage and current distribution is managed intelligently across all six connected batteries, provided they share identical cell counts. This design philosophy makes the ParaBoard an essential accessory for anyone serious about maximising their RC charging efficiency.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can I charge batteries with different cell counts on the same ParaBoard? — No, all batteries connected to the ParaBoard must share the same cell count. You cannot mix 3S and 4S packs, for example, as this would result in improper voltage distribution and potential battery damage. This requirement ensures safe charging and protects your battery investment.
  • What chargers work with the eTronix Power ParaBoard? — The ParaBoard is compatible with any charger that supports parallel balance charging and features a 4mm connector output. This includes most high-power chargers used by serious RC enthusiasts. Verify that your charger has a 4mm connector and the ability to balance charge multiple packs simultaneously before purchasing.
  • How much time does parallel charging actually save? — The time savings depend on how many batteries you typically charge and your charger's power output. If you normally charge batteries sequentially and operate six packs, you could theoretically save significant time—potentially reducing charging time from several hours to a single charging cycle, although actual time will depend on your specific charger's capacity and your battery pack specifications.
  • Is the ParaBoard suitable for beginners? — Yes, the ParaBoard is suitable for RC hobbyists at all experience levels. The connection process is straightforward—connect your charger to the 4mm connector and attach your battery balance leads to the appropriate XH ports (ensuring they match the battery cell count). However, beginners should ensure they understand their charger's parallel charging function before use.
  • What is the maximum current the ParaBoard can handle? — The ParaBoard has been tested to 25 amperes of continuous current and is safe to handle up to 35 amperes for short periods of 10–30 minutes. Exceeding these ratings risks damaging the board and your batteries, so operate within these specifications for optimal safety and longevity.
  • Does the ParaBoard work with all battery types? — The ParaBoard is specifically designed for lithium battery packs with XH balance connectors. It supports 2S through 6S lithium configurations, making it compatible with nearly all modern RC car, truck and specialist vehicle batteries.
  • What does the built-in 40A fuse protect against? — The integrated 40-ampere fuse acts as a safety device that interrupts current flow if an electrical fault or short circuit is detected. This protects both the ParaBoard and your connected batteries from damage and prevents potential fire hazards caused by uncontrolled current flow.
