Overview
The eTronix Power ParaBoard 6Pk with EC5 connector and XH balance leads (ET0291-PB6) is an essential accessory for RC enthusiasts who want to maximise their charging efficiency and get the very best from their high-power chargers. If you're serious about RC car UK hobbies or any lithium battery-powered RC models, parallel charging is a game-changer that can dramatically reduce your battery charging times. This innovative parallel charging board allows you to safely balance charge up to six lithium battery packs simultaneously—provided they all have the same cell count—transforming your charging routine from a time-consuming chore into a quick, efficient process.
Whether you're running brushless RC buggies, RC monster trucks, or any other lithium-powered RC vehicles, the eTronix ParaBoard represents a smart investment in your hobby setup. By enabling parallel charging, you can take full advantage of the amp capacity your charger offers, rather than charging batteries one at a time. This means more time enjoying your RC models and less time waiting for batteries to charge. The board's robust construction and comprehensive safety features make it suitable for both experienced RC competitors and dedicated weekend bashers who demand reliability and performance from their equipment.
Built to professional standards and rigorously tested, the eTronix Power ParaBoard is the solution for anyone running multiple LiPo or lithium battery packs and wanting to streamline their charging workflow. The combination of EC5 main power connectors with six JST-XH balance ports covering 2S to 6S configurations makes this an incredibly versatile charging solution for the UK RC market.
Key Features
- Parallel Charging Capability for Up to 6 Batteries — This board allows you to connect and balance charge up to six lithium battery packs at the same time, provided they all have the same cell count, which dramatically reduces your overall charging time and makes efficient use of high-capacity chargers that would otherwise be underutilised charging single packs.
- EC5 Main Power Connector — The heavy-duty EC5 connector is specifically designed for high-current applications and provides a secure, reliable connection that minimises voltage drop and ensures safe power delivery during the parallel charging process.
- Six JST-XH Balance Ports (2S to 6S Coverage) — Each board features six complete sets of balance ports supporting battery configurations from 2S (two-cell) through to 6S (six-cell) lithium packs, allowing your charger to monitor and balance individual cell voltages across all six batteries simultaneously for optimal charging performance and battery longevity.
- Tested to 25A Continuous Current — The ParaBoard has been fully laboratory tested to handle 25 amps of continuous current, meaning you can confidently run sustained charging operations without compromising safety or component integrity.
- Safe for Up to 35A for Short Durations — For peak charging scenarios lasting between 10 and 30 minutes, the board can safely handle up to 35 amps, allowing you to take advantage of fast-charge protocols with high-output chargers when time is critical.
- Integrated 40A Inline Fuse Protection — A 40-amp inline fuse is built directly into the board's circuit, providing essential electrical protection that prevents dangerous current surges and protects both your batteries and your charger in the event of a fault condition.
- Premium Quality Construction Materials — The ParaBoard is manufactured from selected quality materials chosen specifically for durability, longevity and safety, ensuring the board will maintain its performance through countless charging cycles and years of regular RC hobby use.
- Six Parallel Charging Configurations Available — Available with multiple connector types including TRX, 4mm with housing, XT60, EC5, and Deans, ensuring compatibility with virtually any high-powered RC charger setup in the UK RC market.
Technical Performance
The eTronix Power ParaBoard represents precision engineering designed specifically for the demands of parallel lithium battery charging. Constructed from selected quality materials chosen for their durability and electrical properties, the board has undergone comprehensive testing to ensure it performs reliably under real-world RC charging conditions. The engineering specification allows for 25 amps of continuous current, with a safe overload capacity of 35 amps for charging intervals between 10 and 30 minutes—perfect for rapid battery turnaround during intensive RC sessions. The integrated 40-amp inline fuse provides a critical safety margin, automatically disconnecting the circuit if dangerous current levels are detected. The six independent balance port sets, each supporting 2S through 6S lithium battery configurations, incorporate JST-XH connectors—the industry standard for balance leads on modern lithium battery packs used in RC cars, buggies, trucks and other electric RC models. The EC5 main power connector is purpose-designed for high-current applications, delivering the robust connection required when charging multiple high-capacity battery packs in parallel. This combination of tested performance specifications, premium materials, integrated safety protection, and comprehensive connector compatibility makes the ParaBoard an ideal choice for serious RC enthusiasts who demand both efficiency and reliability from their charging infrastructure.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Can I charge different cell count batteries at the same time with the eTronix ParaBoard? — No. All lithium batteries connected to the ParaBoard must have the same cell count (all 2S, all 3S, all 4S etc). Mixing different cell counts would result in dangerous voltage imbalances and could damage both the batteries and the charging equipment. Always ensure all six batteries are identical in configuration before connecting them to the board.
- What's the advantage of parallel charging over charging batteries one at a time? — Parallel charging allows you to charge multiple battery packs simultaneously, dramatically reducing total charging time. Instead of waiting for one 5000mAh pack to charge in two hours, then another, then another, you can charge six packs in roughly the same time it would take to charge one pack individually. This is especially valuable during competitive events or intensive RC sessions where battery turnover is critical.
- Is this ParaBoard suitable for beginners to RC hobbies? — While the ParaBoard itself is straightforward to use, parallel charging is typically a technique employed by more experienced RC enthusiasts who already have high-capacity chargers and multiple battery packs in their setup. Beginners starting with ready-to-run RC cars or entry-level equipment may not yet have reached the point where parallel charging is necessary, but it's an excellent addition to your setup as your RC hobby expands.
- What happens if I exceed the 35-amp limit with the ParaBoard? — The integrated 40-amp inline fuse will automatically disconnect the circuit before dangerous current levels can damage the board or batteries. If this occurs, the fuse will need to be replaced before the board can be used again. To avoid fuse trips, ensure your charger is set to a discharge rate that keeps total current within the safe operating window.
- Does the ParaBoard require any maintenance? — The ParaBoard is a passive electrical component with no moving parts or complex electronics, so routine maintenance is minimal. Periodically inspect the EC5 connector and balance ports for corrosion or debris, and ensure the inline fuse is intact. Store the board in a dry location away from moisture and extreme temperatures.
- Which chargers are compatible with the eTronix Power ParaBoard? — Any balance charger or multi-chemistry charger that supports JST-XH balance leads for 2S through 6S lithium batteries will work with the ParaBoard. Common UK chargers compatible with this board include high-output hobby chargers from brands like Spektrum, Hobbywing, and other manufacturers offering balance charging functionality.
- What is the difference between parallel charging and series charging? — Parallel charging connects multiple batteries' positive terminals together and negative terminals together, allowing them to charge simultaneously (this is what the ParaBoard does). Series charging connects batteries end-to-end, significantly increasing voltage but offering no time saving. Parallel charging is far more practical for RC hobby applications and is exactly what the ParaBoard is designed for.
