It features a robust construction built from selected quality materials that ensure long service life and durability, making it a one-time investment that will serve you reliably for years to come. The board comes equipped with an integrated 40A inline fuse that provides crucial protection during parallel charging operations, giving you complete peace of mind when charging valuable battery packs. This is the XT60 and XH balance connector version, making it compatible with a wide range of modern RC batteries and chargers available in the UK RC market today.

If you're serious about RC hobbies in the UK and own multiple batteries, the ParaBoard is not just a convenience—it's practically essential. By consolidating your charging time and enabling simultaneous charging of multiple packs, you'll spend less time tethered to your charger and more time enjoying your RC vehicle outdoors. The six balance ports covering 2S to 6S configurations means this board works with virtually any lithium battery setup you might encounter in the RC world.

Key Features

  • Parallel Charging for Six Batteries — The ParaBoard enables you to charge up to six lithium battery packs in parallel simultaneously, which means you can go from zero to fully charged batteries in roughly the time it takes to charge a single pack with a standard charger, dramatically reducing downtime between RC sessions.
  • XH Balance Connectors — This version features six sets of XH balance ports that cover 2S, 3S, 4S, 5S and 6S lithium battery configurations, allowing you to balance charge virtually any modern LiPo pack without needing multiple different boards or adapters.
  • XT60 Main Connector — The XT60 main power connector is one of the most popular standards in the RC industry, ensuring broad compatibility with RC chargers and power supplies across the UK market and beyond, making this board a versatile addition to any charging station.
  • Heavy-Duty 40A Inline Fuse Protection — An integrated 40A inline fuse provides critical circuit protection during parallel charging operations, automatically disconnecting the circuit in the event of a dangerous overcurrent condition and safeguarding both your batteries and charging equipment from damage.
  • Tested to 25A Continuous, Safe to 35A — The ParaBoard has been rigorously tested under 25 Amp continuous current and is certified safe to handle 35 Amp loads for periods of 10 to 30 minutes, giving you confidence in its ability to work with even high-powered chargers without overheating or failure.
  • Quality Materials for Longevity — Constructed from selected quality materials chosen specifically for durability and safety, the ParaBoard is built to last through hundreds of charging cycles without degradation, making it a sound long-term investment for any RC enthusiast.
  • Same Cell Count Requirement — While the board can charge up to six batteries in parallel, all packs being charged together must have the same cell count (e.g., all 3S or all 4S), which ensures balanced charging and prevents voltage mismatches that could damage batteries.

Technical Performance

The eTronix Power ParaBoard represents a significant engineering achievement in parallel charging technology for the RC hobbyist community. Built from quality materials selected specifically for their electrical conductivity and thermal properties, the board handles demanding current loads with ease. The integrated 40A inline fuse is positioned at the main power input and provides crucial protection without introducing significant voltage drop. The board has undergone comprehensive testing to verify its performance under load: it maintains reliable operation under continuous 25 Amp current draw, and it is rated safe for peak loads of 35 Amps for sustained periods between 10 and 30 minutes. This performance envelope makes it compatible with virtually all popular high-power RC chargers available in the UK, including models from brands like Spektrum, Hobbywing, and others. The six independent balance port sets, each supporting 2S through 6S configurations via XH connectors, are wired to maintain proper balance charging protocols regardless of which cell count you're working with. The XT60 main connector is industry-standard, featuring robust gold-plated contacts and a secure keyed design that prevents accidental reverse polarity connections. The board's construction ensures even heat distribution across its surface, preventing hot spots that could develop during extended charging sessions with multiple high-capacity packs. Whether you're charging six 3S packs for your RC car fleet or alternating between different cell count configurations across multiple sessions, the ParaBoard delivers reliable, safe performance every single time.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can I charge batteries with different cell counts on the ParaBoard at the same time? — No, the ParaBoard is designed to charge multiple batteries in parallel only when they share the same cell count. This critical safety requirement ensures that all packs receive balanced charging and prevents dangerous voltage mismatches between cells that could damage your batteries or charger. You can, however, charge different cell count batteries on separate occasions by simply connecting batteries of matching cell counts to the appropriate balance port sets.
  • Is the eTronix ParaBoard suitable for beginners to RC? — Absolutely. While the ParaBoard is technically an accessory rather than a complete RC kit, it's very beginner-friendly in operation. Simply connect your charger to the XT60 connector, attach your batteries to the XT60 leads, ensure their balance leads are properly seated in the XH balance ports matching their cell count, and initiate charging on your charger. The integrated fuse provides automatic protection, so you don't need to worry about mistakes causing damage. However, beginners should ensure their charger has a proper balance charging function before using the ParaBoard.
  • What type of charger do I need to use with the ParaBoard? — You need an RC charger that specifically supports balance charging functionality and has sufficient power output for your needs. Popular UK brands like Spektrum, Hobbywing, and others all offer balance chargers compatible with this board. The charger connects to the ParaBoard's XT60 main connector, and the charger itself manages the balance charging logic—the ParaBoard simply provides the physical connections. A charger rated for at least 100W is recommended to take full advantage of rapid parallel charging.
  • How much time do I save using parallel charging versus charging one battery at a time? — When charging in parallel, you can charge up to six batteries in approximately the same time it would take to charge one battery using a standard charger. For example, if a single battery normally takes 30 minutes to charge, charging six batteries in parallel on the ParaBoard would also take roughly 30 minutes total. This represents an enormous time saving—six hours of charging compressed into 30 minutes—making it invaluable for anyone running multiple RC vehicles or attending race days with a large battery fleet.
  • Is the ParaBoard safe for unattended charging? — The ParaBoard itself is a passive board with no active control circuits—safety depends entirely on your charger's quality and your proper setup. The integrated 40A fuse provides overcurrent protection, but we recommend never leaving any battery charging unattended, whether on a ParaBoard or otherwise. Always supervise charging, charge in a well-ventilated area, keep a LiPo battery charging bag nearby for safety, and ensure your charger is set to the correct battery type and cell count before initiating the charge.
  • Can I use the ParaBoard with NiMH or NiCd batteries instead of lithium? — The ParaBoard is specifically designed for lithium battery chemistry (LiPo, LiHV). Using it with NiMH or NiCd batteries would be inappropriate and potentially dangerous, as these chemistries require different charging profiles and the balance port configurations are calibrated for lithium cell voltages. Stick exclusively to lithium batteries with this board.
  • What is the difference between the ParaBoard XT60 version and other connector versions? — The eTronix Power ParaBoard is available in several connector variants to suit different RC setups in the UK market: XT60 (this version, the most popular for modern LiPo packs), TRX Traxxas connectors, 4mm bullet connectors with housing, EC5 connectors, and Deans connectors. Choose the version matching your battery's main power connector. All versions feature the same XH balance ports, current rating, and safety features—the only difference is the main battery connector type.
  • Can the ParaBoard handle rapid charging at maximum current? — Yes. The board is tested to handle 25A continuous and is safe for 35A peaks during 10-30 minute periods. Many RC chargers can deliver 30-35A output, and the ParaBoard will handle this without issue. However, ensure your charger is set appropriately for your batteries' specifications, as using excessive current can damage your battery packs even if the ParaBoard can handle it electrically.
