Overview

The eTronix Power ParaBoard 6Pk with Deans connector and XH balance ports is an essential piece of charging infrastructure for serious RC enthusiasts in the UK who operate multiple lithium battery packs. This parallel charging board allows you to balance charge up to six LiPo batteries of the same cell count simultaneously, dramatically reducing the time spent at the charger whilst maintaining perfectly balanced cells across all your packs. Whether you're a competitive racer running multiple battery sets, a weekend basher with several RC cars, or an RC hobbyist looking to maximise the efficiency of a high-power charger, the ParaBoard transforms your charging workflow by letting you make full use of your charger's capabilities rather than queuing batteries one after another.

Designed with durability and safety as paramount concerns, the eTronix ParaBoard is manufactured from selected quality materials and has been rigorously tested to withstand demanding charging sessions. The board features a robust 40A inline fuse for circuit protection, and its proven engineering means you can charge with confidence knowing your valuable battery packs are in safe hands. This ET0288-PB6 variant comes configured with a Deans main connector and XH balance leads, making it compatible with a wide range of RC chargers and balance modules available to UK RC hobbyists.

The parallel charging methodology employed by the ParaBoard is particularly valuable for RC enthusiasts who want to squeeze maximum efficiency from high-output chargers. Rather than charging one battery at a time, the board allows you to connect multiple packs and charge them all together, each monitored by the charger's balance function to ensure individual cell voltages remain perfectly matched throughout the charge cycle. This approach saves significant time whilst maintaining the battery health and longevity that balanced charging provides.

Key Features

  • Parallel balance charging for up to six LiPo batteries — This is the core function of the ParaBoard: it allows you to connect up to six lithium battery packs of identical cell count to your charger simultaneously, with each pack monitored by the charger's balance function to ensure cell voltages remain perfectly equalised, saving substantial charging time compared to sequential single-pack charging.
  • XH balance ports spanning 2S to 6S cell configurations — The board includes six complete sets of balance ports that support battery packs from 2-cell (2S) up to 6-cell (6S) configurations, meaning whether you run smaller 2S packs in 1/18-scale RC cars or larger 6S setups in brushless RC buggies and monster trucks, the ParaBoard will accommodate your charging needs.
  • Deans main connector on this ET0288-PB6 variant — This version is specifically fitted with a Deans connector for the main power lead, making it directly compatible with the discharge connectors on Deans-equipped LiPo batteries and chargers, ensuring seamless integration into your existing RC charging setup without the need for adapters.
  • Tested to 25A continuous with 35A short-term capacity — The engineering team at eTronix has fully tested this board to deliver 25 amperes continuously without issues, and it is certified safe to handle 35 amperes for short charging bursts lasting 10–30 minutes, giving you flexibility in matching the board to high-output chargers available in the UK market.
  • Integrated 40A inline fuse protection — A 40-amp inline fuse is built into the ParaBoard's circuit to protect both the board itself and your battery packs in the unlikely event of an electrical fault, providing crucial safety redundancy during the charging process.
  • Durable construction for extended service life — Manufactured from selected quality materials chosen for their longevity and reliability, the ParaBoard is engineered to provide years of trouble-free service even with regular use by active RC hobbyists, ensuring your investment in this charging accessory will pay dividends across many seasons of RC enjoyment.
  • Supports charger balance mode function — The board works in conjunction with your existing LiPo charger's balance charging mode, allowing the charger's balance function to monitor and equalise individual cell voltages across all connected packs simultaneously, ensuring no battery receives an unbalanced charge that could reduce lifespan or cause performance issues.
  • Multiple connector variants available — Whilst this ET0288-PB6 model features Deans connectors and XH balance leads, eTronix manufactures the ParaBoard in several other connector configurations including TRX, 4mm with housing, XT60, and EC5, allowing RC enthusiasts across the UK to select the variant that matches their existing charger and battery connector ecosystem.

Technical Performance

The eTronix Power ParaBoard represents the convergence of intelligent engineering and practical RC charging needs. Built from selected quality materials chosen specifically for durability and electrical performance, the board delivers consistent reliability across thousands of charging cycles. The engineering team has subjected this product to rigorous testing at 25 amperes continuous current—a sustained load that confirms the board can handle the output from most high-power chargers available to UK RC users. The safety margin extends to 35 amperes for short bursts of 10–30 minutes, giving you confidence that even peak charging sessions at maximum charger output will be handled safely. The 40A inline fuse provides an additional layer of protection, automatically disconnecting the circuit if any fault condition occurs that could threaten your batteries. The XH balance connectors spanning 2S to 6S capacity mean the board integrates seamlessly with the full spectrum of lithium battery pack configurations used across RC hobbying in the UK—from small 2S packs in micro RC cars to full-size 6S setups in high-performance RC buggies, truggy trucks, and competitive racing machines. The Deans main connector fitted to this particular variant represents one of the most widely-adopted discharge connector standards in the RC hobby, meaning the board will connect directly to most modern RC chargers and battery packs without requiring adapter cables.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can I charge batteries with different cell counts on the same ParaBoard? — No, the manufacturer specifications are explicit that all batteries connected to the ParaBoard simultaneously must have the same cell count (all 2S, all 3S, all 4S, etc.). Attempting to charge batteries of different cell counts in parallel will result in incorrect charging voltages and could damage your battery packs or charger. Each battery pack's balance ports must connect to the matching cell count ports on the board.
  • How much time will the ParaBoard actually save me on charging? — The time savings depend on your charger's output capacity and your battery pack sizes. If you have a high-power charger capable of delivering, for example, 20 amps, you could theoretically charge six 2500mAh packs sequentially (taking six times longer) or connect all six packs in parallel and charge them all at once (using the full charger output distributed among them). You'll save significant time—potentially five-sixths of your total charging duration—depending on your specific charger and battery configuration.
  • Is the ParaBoard suitable for beginners new to RC charging? — Yes, the ParaBoard is suitable for any RC hobbyist who has a high-power charger with balance charging capability and multiple battery packs of the same cell count. However, beginners should ensure they fully understand their charger's parallel charging procedure by consulting the charger manual before using the ParaBoard, as incorrect setup could result in unbalanced charging. Once understood, the ParaBoard is straightforward to use and makes an excellent investment for anyone planning to own multiple RC vehicles.
  • What charger do I need to use with the ParaBoard? — You'll need a LiPo charger with balance charging functionality (virtually all modern LiPo chargers have this). The charger must support parallel charging mode, which most high-power chargers do. Consult your specific charger's manual to confirm parallel charging capability. The board's Deans connector will need to match your charger's output connector, or you'll need appropriate adapter cables.
  • Is the 40A fuse replaceable? — Yes, the 40A inline fuse is a standard component and can be replaced if it ever trips due to a fault condition. This is considered a consumable safety component and replacement fuses should be kept in your RC toolkit.
  • Can I use the ParaBoard for storage charging? — The ParaBoard is designed for charging LiPo packs to full capacity (4.20V per cell). If you need to store batteries at a lower voltage for long-term storage (typically 3.85V per cell), you may need a separate storage charge function on your charger, as the ParaBoard itself simply distributes charger output to multiple packs without modifying the charge profile.
  • What is the difference between the Deans and other connector variants? — The only difference between the ET0288-PB6 and other ParaBoard variants is the main discharge connector type. This Deans version features a Deans connector, whilst other variants use TRX, 4mm with housing, XT60, or EC5 connectors. The balance port configuration and all other specifications remain identical. Choose whichever variant matches your charger and battery pack connectors to avoid needing adapter cables.
