Overview
The Element RC Enduro IFS Shock Springs in black 63mm (model EL42230) are premium replacement shock springs designed specifically for the Element RC Enduro platform. These high-quality suspension components are essential for any RC enthusiast looking to fine-tune their vehicle's handling characteristics and ride quality. Whether you're an experienced RC car racer in the UK or a dedicated hobbyist who enjoys weekend bashing, quality shock springs are crucial for maintaining optimal suspension performance and ensuring your RC vehicle responds precisely to terrain changes and driving inputs.
Shock springs are fundamental suspension components that work in conjunction with shock absorbers to control your RC car's vertical movement and weight distribution. The 63mm length specification makes these springs perfectly compatible with the Element RC Enduro IFS (Independent Front Suspension) system, ensuring seamless integration and reliable performance. By upgrading or replacing your shock springs with genuine Element RC components, you're investing in precision engineering that will directly improve your vehicle's cornering stability, traction, and overall driving experience on various terrain types.
As an authorised Element RC retailer, RC Model Shop stocks genuine spare parts and upgrade components to keep your RC car in peak condition. The Element RC Enduro platform is renowned in the UK RC community for its sophisticated independent front suspension design, which requires quality matching components to perform at its best. These 63mm shock springs are an excellent choice for anyone looking to maintain, repair, or upgrade their Enduro IFS setup.

Technical Performance
The Element RC Enduro IFS Shock Springs represent quality engineering focused on delivering consistent suspension performance for serious RC drivers. At 63mm in length, these springs are engineered to provide the correct ride height and spring rate characteristics needed for the Enduro platform's independent front suspension design. The springs work in tandem with your shock absorbers to manage vehicle weight distribution, maintain traction across varied terrain, and provide predictable handling characteristics during acceleration, deceleration, and cornering manoeuvres. The black finish is applied through professional powder-coating processes that protect the metal spring material from oxidation and environmental damage whilst maintaining the structural integrity that's essential for reliable long-term performance. As a precision component, these springs maintain their designed spring rate consistently across multiple compression and extension cycles, ensuring your vehicle's handling remains predictable and responsive. Whether you're running on rocky trails, loose dirt tracks, or mixed terrain typical of UK off-road RC venues, these springs work to keep your suspension geometry within optimal parameters. The 63mm specification has been carefully chosen to match the geometry requirements of the Enduro IFS system, meaning you're getting springs that have been tested and validated by Element RC engineers for this specific platform.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Are these shock springs compatible with my Element RC Enduro? — Yes, these 63mm shock springs are specifically designed for the Element RC Enduro IFS (Independent Front Suspension) platform. The 63mm length ensures proper fit and suspension geometry. If you're unsure whether your specific Enduro model uses the IFS system, please contact our team at RC Model Shop for confirmation.
- Why would I need to replace my shock springs? — Shock springs can lose their spring rate over time due to metal fatigue from repeated compression and extension cycles, or they may become damaged during impacts or crashes. Additionally, many RC enthusiasts replace springs with different rates to tune their vehicle's handling characteristics for specific driving conditions or racing formats.
- Do these springs come pre-installed or do I need to fit them myself? — These springs are supplied as bare components ready for installation. Fitting them is straightforward and requires only basic tools. You'll need to remove your old springs and install these new ones into your shock absorbers. The process typically takes just a few minutes per shock.
- What's the difference between different shock spring rates? — Shock springs with different rates (measured in pounds per inch or similar metrics) control how quickly your suspension compresses under load. Softer springs compress more easily and provide a cushioned ride, while stiffer springs compress less and keep your vehicle's chassis higher. The choice depends on your driving style and terrain preferences.
- Can I use these springs on other Element RC models? — These springs are specifically designed for the Enduro IFS system. Whilst the 63mm length might fit other models, we recommend only using them on vehicles for which they are specified to ensure proper suspension geometry and performance. Contact our team if you need springs for other Element RC platforms.
- How often should I replace my shock springs? — This depends on how frequently you use your RC car and the intensity of your driving. Springs used in racing or aggressive bashing may need replacement more often than casual hobby use. If your suspension feels less responsive or your vehicle doesn't maintain proper ride height, it's time to replace your springs.
