Overview
The Corally Shock Oil Ultra Pure Silicone 200 CPS is an essential maintenance product for any serious RC enthusiast in the UK. Whether you're running a high-performance RC car, buggy, or crawler, the quality of your shock oil directly impacts your vehicle's handling, ride quality, and overall performance on the track or off-road terrain. This 60ml bottle of premium silicone shock oil is manufactured and bottled in Europe to the highest standards, ensuring consistency and reliability that competitive RC drivers and weekend bashers alike can depend on.
Shock oil is a critical component in RC vehicle suspension systems. The viscosity of the oil determines how quickly your shocks compress and rebound, affecting everything from cornering speed to landing stability after jumps. With the wrong viscosity, your RC car will either feel sluggish and unresponsive or overly bouncy and difficult to control. That's why Team Corally has invested in precision manufacturing and quality control to ensure every bottle meets exact specifications.
If you're building or tuning an RC car, truck, buggy or truggy in the UK, having the correct shock oil on hand is non-negotiable. The 200 CPS viscosity rating sits in the middle of the performance range, making it suitable for a wide variety of applications and driving styles. Whether you're a beginner learning the ropes of RC suspension tuning or an experienced competitor fine-tuning your setup for race day, this ultra-pure silicone shock oil delivers the consistency and performance you need.
Key Features
- Ultra Pure 100% Silicone Formula — This shock oil is manufactured from 100% pure silicone, which ensures superior temperature stability and consistent performance across varying weather conditions. Pure silicone oils don't break down or become gummy over time, so your shocks will continue to perform predictably whether you're racing in summer heat or winter cold.
- European Manufacturing and Quality Control — Each production batch is manufactured and bottled in Europe, where strict quality standards are maintained. Every batch is rheometer calibrated to ensure the highest possible consistency and quality from batch to batch. This means you're not just getting shock oil; you're getting a precision product with documented quality assurance.
- Precise 200 CPS Viscosity Rating — The viscosity of the oil is rated in industry-proven CPS (centipoise) values, which is the recognised standard for measuring silicone oil thickness. At 200 CPS, this product offers a mid-range viscosity that works well for balanced setups and general-purpose RC applications.
- Drop-by-Drop Flip Top Cap — The precision flip top cap allows you to add shock oil to your vehicles one drop at a time, giving you exact control over the amount of oil you're adding. This prevents wastage and ensures accurate tuning adjustments without over-filling or under-filling your shocks.
- Viscosity Indication Label on Cap — The cap features a clear viscosity marking label so you can instantly identify the grade of oil in the bottle at a glance. This is especially useful if you keep multiple viscosity grades on hand for different setups or seasonal tuning adjustments.
- Temperature Stable Formula — Unlike lesser-quality shock oils that can thin out in heat or thicken in cold, this ultra-pure silicone oil maintains consistent viscosity across a wide temperature range. This temperature stability means your suspension will behave predictably whether you're racing on a hot summer day or during winter club meetings.
- 60ml Generous Bottle Size — The 60ml (2oz) bottle provides enough shock oil for multiple refills and maintenance sessions, making it excellent value for money. You won't run out mid-season, and you'll always have spare on hand for repairs or suspension adjustments.
- Part of a Complete Viscosity Range — Team Corally manufactures ultra-pure silicone shock oils across a complete range from thin 100 CPS up to thick 1000 CPS with numerous stages in between. This means once you find your ideal viscosity with the 200 CPS grade, you know the brand offers options if you ever need to fine-tune your suspension further.
Technical Performance
The 200 CPS viscosity rating of this Corally shock oil positions it perfectly in the mid-range of suspension tuning options. In industry standard CPS measurements, this grade provides a balanced compression and rebound rate suitable for general-purpose RC applications including off-road buggies, stadium trucks, short-course trucks, and touring cars. The ultra-pure silicone construction ensures that the oil won't separate, break down, or become sticky as it ages, which means your suspension will maintain predictable performance throughout the entire season. The rheometer calibration process used by Team Corally during manufacturing ensures that every batch meets the exact 200 CPS specification, eliminating batch-to-batch variations that can occur with lesser manufacturers. The temperature-stable formula is engineered to resist viscosity changes across a wide temperature range, which is critical for UK RC drivers who may experience significant temperature swings between indoor track racing and outdoor terrain racing. The drop-by-drop precision delivery system means you can make fine adjustments to your suspension tuning in increments of just one or two drops, enabling you to dial in the exact handling characteristics your vehicle needs. For competitive RC drivers, this level of precision and consistency is essential for extracting maximum performance from your setup.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What viscosity shock oil should I use for my RC car? — The correct shock oil viscosity depends on your vehicle type, driving style, and track or terrain conditions. Lighter oils (100-150 CPS) provide faster shock response and are often preferred for high-speed track racing. Mid-range oils like this 200 CPS grade offer balanced performance suitable for most general RC applications. Heavier oils (300+ CPS) provide slower, more controlled compression and are often used for off-road buggies and rough terrain. The Team Corally range from 100 CPS to 1000 CPS allows you to find the exact grade that suits your needs.
- Is shock oil the same as differential oil? — No. Shock oil and differential oil are different products used in different parts of your RC vehicle. Shock oil goes into your suspension shocks and controls how quickly they compress and rebound. Differential oil goes into your drivetrain and affects traction and handling. Always use the correct oil for the correct component to maintain optimal performance.
- How often should I change my RC shock oil? — Shock oil doesn't need to be changed regularly like engine oil. However, if your shock oil becomes contaminated with dirt, water, or debris, or if your shocks begin leaking, you should drain and refill with fresh oil. This product's 60ml size is perfect for maintenance top-ups and emergency refills.
- What is the advantage of 100% pure silicone over other shock oils? — Pure silicone oils offer superior temperature stability, meaning the viscosity remains consistent across a wide temperature range. They also resist breakdown and degradation over time, so your shocks will continue to perform predictably throughout the season. This is why professional RC racers prefer pure silicone oils for competitive applications.
- Why is rheometer calibration important? — A rheometer is a precision instrument used to measure fluid viscosity. By calibrating each production batch with a rheometer, Team Corally ensures that every bottle of 200 CPS oil is exactly 200 CPS. This eliminates batch-to-batch variations that can cause inconsistent suspension performance. For competitors who fine-tune their setups, this consistency is crucial.
- Is this suitable for beginners? — Yes, absolutely. While experienced RC racers use shock oil for fine suspension tuning, the 200 CPS grade is an excellent starting point for beginners. It provides balanced performance suitable for learning suspension basics. If you ever need to adjust your suspension, having quality shock oil on hand is essential maintenance.
- How does the flip-top cap help with tuning? — The precision flip-top cap allows drop-by-drop dispensing of shock oil, which means you can make tiny adjustments to your suspension without wastage. In competitive RC racing, even one or two drops of difference can affect handling. This precise delivery system is one reason professionals choose Corally products.
