Whether you're replacing a worn gear, building a complete drivetrain setup, or experimenting with different gear ratios to find the perfect match for your track and driving style, the Corally M0.6 pinion is the professional choice for discerning RC enthusiasts across the United Kingdom.

Key Features

  • Special Hardened Steel Construction — Manufactured from premium hardened steel, this pinion offers exceptional durability and resistance to wear, ensuring it maintains its precise tooth geometry even under the most demanding racing conditions and high-stress driving sessions typical of competitive RC racing.
  • CNC-Cut Teeth with Perfect Shaping — Each tooth is machined on a specialised gear production machine using CNC technology to achieve absolutely perfect tooth shape and profile, which guarantees smooth meshing with your spur gear and eliminates the possibility of missed teeth or grinding that can cause vibration and power loss.
  • Ultra-True Running for Vibration-Free Operation — The combination of precise tooth concentricity and ultra-true running ensures that your pinion rotates with absolute smoothness, eliminating vibration that can compromise handling characteristics, reduce efficiency, and accelerate wear on related components in your RC drivetrain.
  • Unparalleled Concentricity — Every pinion is manufactured to exacting tolerances that assure unparalleled concentricity, meaning the tooth pitch diameter is perfectly centred on the shaft, which is essential for smooth power transmission and preventing the binding or slipping that can occur with inferior gears.
  • M0.6 Module Specification — This pinion uses the M0.6 (0.6mm) module standard, which is the industry standard for Tamiya RC cars and many other models, ensuring perfect compatibility with your existing spur gears and transmission components without any modification required.
  • Compatible with 3.17mm Motor Shafts — The 3.17mm shaft diameter accommodates the vast majority of brushed and brushless RC motors used in modern and classic RC vehicles, making this pinion a universal upgrade option for countless RC car platforms available in the UK market.
  • Easy Tooth Number Identification — Each pinion is clearly marked with its tooth count (19T) for instant identification, eliminating any confusion when managing multiple gears or when ordering replacement components, saving you time during maintenance or repairs.
  • Professional-Grade Manufacturing — Manufactured in Europe to strict quality standards using specialised machinery, this pinion represents the same level of precision and quality used in professional RC racing competitions and team setups.

Technical Performance

The Corally M0.6 Pinion 19T represents the absolute pinnacle of precision gear engineering for modern RC cars. Built from special hardened steel using CNC machining on dedicated gear production equipment, every aspect of this component has been optimised for performance, reliability, and longevity. The 19-tooth count provides an excellent balance for most track types, offering sufficient acceleration whilst maintaining top-end speed capability across various RC car platforms. With a module of M0.6 and a shaft diameter of 3.17mm, this pinion integrates seamlessly into standard RC drivetrain configurations used in countless Tamiya models and compatible vehicles throughout the UK RC hobby community. The teeth width of 4.00mm and gear length of 9.00mm ensure adequate contact area with your spur gear for reliable power transmission without excessive friction or noise. The special hardening process applied to the steel ensures that the gear maintains its shape and tooth geometry under sustained high-speed operation and the shock loads encountered during competitive racing. The CNC-cut tooth profile guarantees perfect meshing characteristics, which means minimal wear, maximum efficiency, and the smooth operation that separates professional-grade components from inferior alternatives. The hex key size of 1.5mm indicates a secure fastening system compatible with standard RC tool kits, allowing for quick installation and adjustment without specialist equipment. When paired with quality spur gears and properly assembled into a well-maintained RC drivetrain, this pinion will deliver years of reliable service whether you're running casual weekend bashing sessions or competing in organised RC racing events at UK tracks.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What RC cars is the Corally M0.6 19T pinion compatible with? — This pinion is compatible with all RC vehicles equipped with M0.6 module gearing, most notably Tamiya RC cars and models from other manufacturers that use the same M0.6 standard. The 3.17mm shaft diameter means it fits the vast majority of brushed and brushless motors used in modern RC vehicles throughout the UK hobby scene.
  • Will this pinion improve my RC car's performance? — If you're upgrading from stock or lower-quality gears, the Corally M0.6 pinion will deliver noticeable improvements in smoothness, efficiency, and reliability. The hardened steel construction and CNC-precision tooth shaping eliminate vibration and ensure perfect meshing, which translates to better handling, faster acceleration, and longer component lifespan compared to standard gears.
  • Is the 19-tooth pinion suitable for all track types? — The 19-tooth configuration is a versatile choice suitable for most track layouts, offering a good balance between acceleration and top-end speed. However, the ideal pinion size depends on your specific track characteristics, vehicle setup, and driving style; for tighter, slower tracks you might prefer a larger pinion (more teeth), whilst faster open tracks may benefit from a smaller pinion (fewer teeth). Team Corally offers this pinion in multiple tooth counts to allow you to fine-tune your gear ratio.
  • How do I know if my motor shaft is 3.17mm? — The 3.17mm shaft is the standard diameter used in most RC motors, particularly in brushless systems common in the UK RC market. If you're unsure, measure your motor shaft with callipers or consult your motor's specifications; if it's not 3.17mm, you'll need a different pinion size.
  • Is this pinion suitable for beginners? — Absolutely. Whilst the Corally M0.6 is a professional-grade component, it's equally suitable for beginners because it requires no special knowledge to install and significantly improves drivetrain reliability. In fact, upgrading to quality pinions is one of the smartest investments a beginner can make, as it reduces maintenance requirements and provides confidence that the drivetrain will perform consistently.
  • What is the difference between this pinion and cheaper alternatives? — The key differences lie in the special hardening process, the CNC manufacturing precision, and the use of dedicated gear-cutting machinery. Cheaper pinions often feature imprecise tooth geometry, lower-grade steel that wears quickly, and poor concentricity that causes vibration and noise. The Corally M0.6 pinion's superior manufacturing ensures smooth operation, exceptional durability, and years of reliable service.
  • Can I use this pinion with different spur gear sizes? — Yes, absolutely. Since both components use the M0.6 module standard, you can use this 19T pinion with any M0.6 spur gear. Different spur gear sizes will alter your overall gear ratio; larger spur gears reduce top speed but increase acceleration, whilst smaller spur gears do the opposite. This flexibility allows you to optimise your setup for different tracks and conditions.
