Key Features

  • Special Hardened Steel Construction — Manufactured from premium hardened steel material, this pinion gear provides exceptional toughness and durability that resists wear, stripping and damage during aggressive driving and racing conditions. Hardened steel gears maintain their precision longer than standard alternatives, making this a cost-effective long-term investment for your RC car.
  • CNC-Cut Teeth with Perfect Concentricity — Each tooth is cut using computer numerically controlled machinery to achieve precise tolerances and unparalleled concentricity. This precision engineering ensures that the gear runs true and balanced, delivering smooth power delivery and eliminating vibration that can compromise performance and cause premature wear to other drivetrain components.
  • 19-Tooth Configuration — The 19-tooth design offers an excellent mid-range gearing option that suits most driving conditions. This tooth count provides a good balance between acceleration and top speed, making it suitable for a wide variety of track layouts and driving styles.
  • 48 DP Module Rating — The 48 diametral pitch (48 DP) specification indicates this pinion is designed for precision mesh with compatible 48 DP spur gears. This ensures proper gear engagement without backlash, delivering efficient power transfer and smooth operation across the entire RPM range of your motor.
  • 3.17mm Motor Shaft Compatibility — Designed specifically for motors with 3.17mm diameter shafts, this pinion integrates with the vast majority of modern RC motors used in electric RC cars, buggies and trucks throughout the UK. The precise bore diameter ensures secure, vibration-free mounting.
  • Short Profile Design — The short profile of this pinion gear is optimised for space-conscious chassis layouts whilst maintaining full engagement with your spur gear. This design helps reduce overall drivetrain width without compromising power transmission or durability.
  • Ultra-True Running — Created on special precision gear machinery, this pinion features ultra-true running characteristics that minimise vibration during operation. Vibration-free operation translates to more predictable handling, reduced noise and less stress on your RC car's bearings and motor shaft.
  • Easy Identification Marking — Each pinion is permanently marked with the tooth number, making it incredibly simple to identify which gear you're using at a glance. This feature is invaluable when managing multiple pinions for different gear ratios or when working with other RC enthusiasts.
  • Complete Gearing Range Available — Team Corally manufactures this pinion in all standard gearing sizes, allowing you to find the perfect gear ratio for any track layout, motor specification or driving condition. Whether you need a higher-speed ratio or more aggressive acceleration, the complete range ensures compatibility.
  • European Manufacturing — Made in Europe to rigorous quality standards, this pinion reflects Team Corally's commitment to precision engineering and attention to detail. European manufacturing means consistent quality control and reliable performance you can depend on.
  • 4mm Teeth Width — The 4mm teeth width ensures adequate surface contact with your spur gear whilst maintaining the short overall profile. This dimension is optimised for reliable mesh without excessive drag or inefficiency.
  • 9mm Gear Length — The 9mm overall length of the gear is precisely calculated to ensure proper engagement with standard spur gears whilst fitting within typical RC car drivetrain geometries. This dimension allows the pinion to sit correctly on your motor shaft for optimal performance.

Technical Performance

The Corally 48 DP Pinion Short Hardened Steel 19 Teeth represents the pinnacle of precision gear engineering for RC cars, buggies and trucks. Manufactured using CNC machinery from special hardened steel, this component delivers the kind of precision and durability that serious RC car UK racers and hobbyists demand. The 48 DP specification indicates a gear pitch that integrates perfectly with compatible spur gears, ensuring smooth, efficient power transmission with minimal losses.
