The braided sleeve not only looks professional but also provides protection for the wires, extending the lifespan of this essential charging component.

Key Features

  • Integrated Charge and Balance Solution — This lead combines both the charger connection and balancer lead into one unified product, eliminating the need for separate cables and dramatically reducing the cable clutter that accumulates on any RC charging bench.
  • Premium 14AWG Flexible Silicone Wire (Charge Lead) — The main charge lead is constructed from high-quality 14AWG ultra-flexible silicone wire, which provides excellent current handling capability whilst remaining supple and easy to route, resisting kinks and cracks that can occur with inferior materials.
  • 22AWG Flexible Silicone Wire (Balance Lead) — The balance lead uses 22AWG flexible silicone wire, appropriately sized for the lower currents involved in balancing, ensuring safe and reliable cell-by-cell monitoring during the charging process.
  • Protective Braided Sleeve — All wires are neatly bundled together in a flexible braided sleeve that not only organises the cables but also provides mechanical protection against abrasion, punctures and environmental damage, extending the product's lifespan significantly.
  • 4mm Banana Gold Connectors for Charger — The charger connection features high-quality 4mm banana connectors plated with gold, which ensures low-resistance electrical contact, reduces voltage drop and is compatible with the vast majority of RC chargers used across the UK RC market.
  • T-Plug Male Battery Connector — The battery connection uses a T-Plug male connector, one of the most popular and reliable standards in RC hobby, ensuring broad compatibility with modern LiPo batteries and reliable, secure connections that won't accidentally disconnect during use.
  • 6S XH Male Balance Connector — The connection to your charger's balance port uses a 6S XH male connector, which is industry-standard and compatible with most multi-cell chargers currently available on the UK RC market.
  • 4S XH Female Balance Connector — The battery end features a 4S XH female connector specifically designed for 4S LiPo packs, ensuring safe and proper connection to your batteries whilst preventing accidental miswiring of balance leads.
  • 30cm Optimal Length — The 30-centimetre length provides sufficient reach for comfortable charging whilst remaining compact enough to avoid excessive cable sprawl, making it ideal for both workshop and field charging scenarios.
  • Single-Piece Design — This is a complete, ready-to-use assembly requiring no assembly or modification, straight from the box to your charger—perfect for beginners and experienced RC users alike.

Technical Performance

The Corally Charge/Balance Lead C-50283 represents professional-grade engineering in RC charging accessories. The dual-wire construction demonstrates thoughtful design: the 14AWG charge lead is sized to safely handle the high currents required when charging 4S LiPo batteries, whilst the 22AWG balance lead is appropriately rated for the lower currents involved in individual cell balancing. This specification-appropriate design ensures both safety and efficiency, preventing unnecessary energy loss through oversized wires whilst guaranteeing that current capacity is never exceeded. The use of flexible silicone wire throughout is critical—unlike traditional PVC-insulated copper wire that becomes brittle and cracks with temperature changes and flexing, premium silicone wire maintains its flexibility through countless charge cycles, whether you're charging in summer heat or winter cold. The gold-plated 4mm banana connectors and T-Plug male connection provide low-resistance contacts that are essential for maintaining charging efficiency and battery health. The braided protective sleeve isn't merely cosmetic; it provides genuine mechanical protection that extends the operational life of the product considerably. For UK RC users running modern LiPo-powered models, whether brushless RC buggies, monster trucks or specialist crawlers, this lead offers the reliability and build quality necessary for regular, demanding use. The integration of balance and charge functions into a single organised assembly represents genuine convenience and demonstrates that Team Corally understands the practical needs of serious RC enthusiasts who want their equipment to work reliably without fuss or complication.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is this charge lead compatible with my 4S LiPo battery? — Yes, the Corally Charge/Balance Lead C-50283 is specifically designed for 4S LiPo batteries. The 4S XH female connector on the balance side matches 4S battery connectors perfectly, and the T-Plug male connector is the standard connection for modern RC LiPo packs. If your charger features a 6S XH balance port (which most modern multi-cell chargers do), this lead will work flawlessly with your charging setup.
  • What chargers is this lead compatible with? — This lead connects to chargers via 4mm banana gold connectors on the main charging line and a 6S XH male connector on the balance port. This combination is compatible with virtually all modern multi-cell LiPo chargers available in the UK market, including popular brands like iCharger, SkyRC, Hitec and many others. If your charger features these connector types, this lead will work perfectly.
  • Why is this better than using separate charge and balance leads? — Using two separate leads creates cable clutter, increases the risk of connection errors, and makes your charging station look disorganised. This integrated lead combines both functions into a single, neatly braided assembly. This means fewer cables to manage, less chance of accidentally plugging the wrong lead into the wrong port, and a much cleaner, more professional charging setup. For serious RC users in the UK who charge frequently, this organisation benefit alone is worth the investment.
  • What is the difference between the 14AWG charge wire and 22AWG balance wire? — The 14AWG (larger diameter) wire on the charge lead is necessary because it carries the main charging current from your charger to the battery—typically several amps. The 22AWG (smaller diameter) balance wire only needs to carry small currents as it monitors and balances individual cell voltages within the battery pack, hence the smaller gauge. This specification-appropriate design is more efficient and prevents unnecessary bulk whilst maintaining safety.
  • Is the braided sleeve just for appearance? — No. The braided protective sleeve serves multiple practical purposes. It organises the multiple wires into a single, neat bundle, preventing tangling. More importantly, it provides mechanical protection against abrasion, accidental punctures, and environmental damage. This protection significantly extends the lifespan of the lead, making it a worthwhile investment for regular RC users.
  • Can beginners use this charge lead? — Absolutely. In fact, beginners will particularly benefit from this product because the integrated design eliminates confusion about which lead does what. The T-Plug and XH connectors are clearly different, making it virtually impossible to plug the balance lead into the wrong place. The straightforward plug-and-play design requires no technical knowledge—simply connect it to your charger and battery, and you're ready to go.
  • How long is the lead and is it long enough for my charging setup? — The lead is 30 centimetres long, which provides sufficient reach for most bench-top and field charging scenarios. This length is long enough to comfortably position your battery away from your charger without requiring cable extensions, whilst being short enough to avoid excessive coiling and clutter on your charging table.
  • What connector types does this have? — This lead features T-Plug male connector for the battery connection (compatible with modern RC LiPo packs), 4mm banana gold connectors for the main charger connection, a 6S XH male connector for the charger's balance port, and a 4S XH female connector for 4S battery balance connections. These are industry-standard connectors widely used throughout the RC hobby.
