Whether you're a weekend basher, a track racer, or a weekend enthusiast building your first ready-to-run RC model, having spare screws of the correct specification ensures you can always get back on the track or trail quickly.
This pack contains 10 individual screws, making it perfect for stocking your RC workshop, maintaining multiple vehicles, or completing a build project. The hex flat head design is widely used across numerous RC platforms and platforms, from 1/10 scale buggies to 1/8 scale trucks and beyond, making this a versatile addition to any RC car UK enthusiast's toolkit.
Key Features
- DIN 7991 Industrial Standard Compliance — These screws are manufactured to the internationally recognised DIN 7991 specification for hexagon socket countersunk flat head cap screws, ensuring compatibility with standard sockets and tools whilst maintaining consistent quality and reliability across every fastener in the pack.
- High-Quality Steel Construction — The black steel material provides excellent strength and durability, resisting the vibration and stress encountered during aggressive RC driving whilst maintaining long-term integrity through multiple re-assemblies and maintenance cycles.
- M3 Thread Size — The M3 metric thread specification is one of the most common fastener sizes in modern RC vehicles, making these screws exceptionally versatile for use across numerous vehicle platforms, chassis designs, and component manufacturers throughout the RC hobby.
- Precision 8mm Length — The 8mm length is specifically engineered to provide optimal seating depth for M3 threaded holes commonly found in RC suspension components, servo mounts, electronics trays, and chassis brackets without causing bottoming-out or over-tightening issues.
- Hex Socket Driver Design — The hexagon socket head allows for precise torque application using standard hex key drivers, enabling controlled tightening that prevents cross-threading, damage to fastener heads, or over-loosening during maintenance and tuning sessions.
- Flat Head Countersunk Profile — The countersunk design sits flush with component surfaces, eliminating potential interference with moving parts, suspension geometry, or chassis fitment whilst maintaining a clean, professional appearance on your finished RC model.
- Pack of 10 Pieces — Ten fasteners per pack provides excellent value and ensures you have sufficient spares for maintenance, repairs, or complete vehicle rebuilds without requiring multiple orders, making this an economical choice for regular RC car UK users.
Technical Performance
The Corally Steel Screws M3 x 8mm represent an exercise in precision engineering and material science. These fasteners are manufactured from high-grade black steel, a material selection that balances strength, durability, and cost-effectiveness for demanding RC applications. The M3 thread pitch is specifically designed to match the threaded inserts and holes found in contemporary RC chassis, suspension components, and electronics mounting points. The 8mm overall length has been carefully calculated to achieve proper engagement depth whilst preventing bottoming-out in typical RC plastic and aluminium components. The hexagon socket head, conforming to DIN 7991 specifications, accommodates standard hex key drivers ranging from the appropriate size for M3 fasteners, enabling controlled assembly and disassembly without damaging the screw head or fastener. The black coating provides modest corrosion resistance suitable for typical RC use, though enthusiasts running their vehicles in wet conditions may consider additional protective measures. These screws represent the fundamental engineering that keeps RC buggies, trucks, and crawlers operating smoothly across multiple seasons of enthusiast use. Whether you're maintaining a high-performance brushless RC buggy or adjusting suspension geometry on your crawler, these fasteners deliver the reliability and repeatability that serious RC hobby builders demand. The flat countersunk profile ensures that fasteners sit completely flush with component surfaces, eliminating any potential for interference with rotating elements, moving suspension links, or adjacent mechanical systems that could be disrupted by protruding fastener heads.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What are Corally Steel Screws M3 x 8mm used for in RC cars? — These screws are essential fasteners for assembling and maintaining RC vehicles, commonly used in suspension mounting points, servo brackets, electronics tray installation, chassis component assembly, and numerous other locations throughout modern RC buggies, trucks, and scale crawlers where M3 threaded holes are specified.
- Are these screws compatible with my RC vehicle? — The M3 x 8mm specification is among the most widely used fastener sizes in the RC hobby, making these screws compatible with vehicles from numerous manufacturers including Corally, Team Associated, Losi, Xray, and many others. Verify your specific vehicle documentation to confirm M3 x 8mm compatibility before ordering.
- What does DIN 7991 mean? — DIN 7991 is the German industrial standard specification for hexagon socket countersunk flat head cap screws. This internationally recognised standard ensures consistent dimensions, threading, and material properties across fasteners from different manufacturers, guaranteeing compatibility and reliability in your RC builds.
- Can I use these screws for wet weather RC running? — Yes, these steel screws can be used in wet conditions, though the black steel coating provides only modest corrosion resistance. For vehicles frequently run in wet conditions, consider storing your RC in a climate-controlled environment and applying protective treatments to fasteners and metal components to extend service life.
- How many vehicles can one pack service? — Each vehicle typically uses multiple M3 x 8mm screws depending on suspension configuration and component layout, so a pack of 10 screws will typically service one complete vehicle assembly or provide spare fasteners for maintenance across multiple vehicles. Keep additional packs on hand for competitive users and builders.
- What tools do I need to install these screws? — You require a standard hexagon socket key driver (hex wrench) in the appropriate size for M3 socket head screws, a hand screwdriver set, or a powered screwdriver with adjustable torque settings to prevent over-tightening and fastener damage.
- Is this suitable for beginners? — Absolutely. These are fundamental fastening components that even beginning RC enthusiasts will need for vehicle assembly and maintenance. They are straightforward to install using basic tools and represent an essential part of responsible RC vehicle ownership and upkeep.
