Key Features
- M3 Thread Size — The M3 metric thread specification is a standard sizing across many RC car platforms and chassis designs, making these screws compatible with a wide range of RC vehicles and components across the RC car UK hobby market.
- 30mm Length — The 30mm length is ideal for applications requiring deeper fastening without excessive protrusion, providing the perfect balance for secure assembly of RC chassis components, body mounts and structural elements.
- Hex Socket Head Design — The hex socket head (also known as Allen key or cap screw head) allows for precise, controlled tightening using standard hex key tools, reducing the risk of stripping or damaging the fastener head and providing superior grip compared to traditional slotted screws.
- DIN 912 Compliance — These screws meet the internationally recognised DIN 912 industrial standard for socket head cap screws, guaranteeing consistent quality, dimensional accuracy and reliable performance that meets professional manufacturing standards.
- High-Grade Steel Construction — Manufactured from quality steel material, these fasteners offer excellent strength and durability to withstand the vibrations, impacts and stresses inherent in RC car use, whether on-road racing or off-road bashing.
- Black Finish — The black colour finish provides a professional appearance and offers corrosion resistance, helping to protect the screws from degradation during outdoor use or storage in humid conditions.
- Pack of 10 Pieces — This convenient 10-piece pack ensures you have multiple replacement screws available, making it ideal for building multiple vehicles, maintaining a spare parts inventory, or simply having backups when fasteners are lost or damaged during use.
- Genuine Team Corally Component — As an official Team Corally product, these screws are manufactured under strict quality control and represent genuine OEM (original equipment manufacturer) components rather than generic imitations.
Technical Performance
These Corally steel screws represent the kind of precision fastening that serious RC enthusiasts rely upon. The M3 x 30mm specification with hex socket head design provides secure, vibration-resistant fastening for critical RC chassis applications. The steel construction ensures these screws will not flex, strip or fail under the extreme forces generated during high-speed RC car runs, whether you're competing on UK race tracks or bashing outdoors. The DIN 912 compliance guarantees that each screw meets exact dimensional and material specifications, meaning they will fit perfectly into corresponding M3 threaded holes without forcing or binding. The black finish provides protection against corrosion, which is particularly important for RC cars that may be exposed to moisture, grass, dirt or salt water. The hex socket head design is superior to Phillips or slotted heads because it provides far greater contact surface area with the hex key, dramatically reducing the risk of stripping the fastener head during tightening. This engineering quality ensures that fasteners remain secure throughout aggressive driving, frequent assembly and disassembly cycles, and long-term storage. Whether you're building a competition-grade RC vehicle or simply maintaining your collection of RC cars, these fasteners deliver the reliability and consistent performance you expect from Team Corally branded components.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What are these M3 x 30mm hex socket screws used for in RC cars? — These versatile fasteners are used throughout RC car construction and assembly, from securing body panels and bumpers to fastening chassis components, motor mounts, suspension elements and electronic mounting brackets. The M3 x 30mm length makes them suitable for applications requiring deeper fastening where standard shorter screws would be insufficient.
- Are these compatible with all RC car brands? — The M3 metric thread specification is a universal standard used across many RC car platforms including vehicles from Traxxas, ARRMA, Losi, TLR, Kyosho, HPI and many other manufacturers. If your RC car uses M3 threaded holes, these screws will be compatible, though you should always verify the thread size and length required for your specific application.
- Why should I choose genuine Team Corally screws over generic alternatives? — Genuine Corally fasteners are manufactured to DIN 912 industrial standards with strict quality control, ensuring consistent material quality, dimensional accuracy and reliable performance. Generic screws from unknown manufacturers may have inconsistent threading, softer steel that strips easily, or inaccurate dimensions that cause fitting problems. Using genuine components protects your investment in your RC vehicle.
- What tools do I need to use these screws? — The hex socket head design requires a standard hex key (also called an Allen key) in the correct size to fit the socket. You'll need to match the hex key size to these M3 screws, which typically use 2.5mm hex keys, though the exact size is shown on the manufacturer specification sheet.
- How many screws should I keep in stock? — This pack of 10 screws provides a good foundation for your spare parts inventory. Most RC car builders recommend keeping multiple packs on hand because screws can be lost during assembly, disassembly, transport or outdoor use. Having several packs ensures you never run out when building or maintaining your RC vehicles.
- Are these screws suitable for beginners? — Yes, absolutely. These are standard fasteners suitable for builders of all experience levels. Beginners assembling their first RC car will find them straightforward to install using basic hex key tools. The design is foolproof and forgiving, making them ideal for those just starting their RC car hobby in the UK.
- What makes hex socket head screws better than Phillips or slotted head screws? — Hex socket heads provide significantly more contact surface area with the hex key tool, dramatically reducing the risk of stripping the screw head during tightening. Phillips heads and slotted heads are notorious for slipping and causing damage, whereas hex sockets hold firm and secure even with moderate tightening force. This superiority is why professional manufacturers and serious RC enthusiasts prefer hex socket fasteners.
- Will these screws rust or corrode? — The black finish provides corrosion resistance to help protect the steel from oxidation. However, for maximum longevity, store your screws in a dry environment. If your RC car is used in wet conditions, periodically inspect fasteners and replace any showing signs of rust. The high-quality steel used in genuine Corally screws resists corrosion far better than cheap alternatives.
