Overview

The Team Corally Attack Foam Tyres represent a premium choice for RC enthusiasts competing in 1/12 scale circuit racing across the UK. These high-performance competition-grade tyres are specifically engineered for the demanding world of 1/12 pan car racing, where precision, grip consistency, and tyre longevity are paramount. Whether you're a seasoned racer preparing for the next club meeting or an ambitious hobbyist looking to upgrade your RC car UK setup, these Attack foam tyres deliver the performance characteristics needed to stay competitive on the track.

Manufactured to exacting standards and mounted on quality carbon rims ready for immediate use, these tyres eliminate the hassle of sourcing and fitting separate components. The Double Pink compound represents an intermediate hardness option that balances grip and durability across varied track conditions. If you're serious about 1/12 scale RC racing, upgrading to premium competition-grade tyres like these can make a measurable difference in your lap times and consistency throughout a race session.

The Attack range from Team Corally has earned recognition among competitive RC racers for offering excellent grip under various track conditions whilst maintaining low tyre wear—a combination that delivers genuine value for money over an entire season of racing. These front tyres are supplied as a matched pair mounted on lightweight carbon rims, ready to bolt straight onto your 1/12 pan car without additional preparation.

Key Features

  • Foam Rubber Compound — The tyres utilise premium foam rubber construction that provides superior grip compared to standard rubber compounds, essential for achieving faster lap times on both smooth and textured track surfaces in 1/12 circuit racing.
  • 35° Shore Hardness — The Double Pink compound at 35 Shore offers an intermediate hardness level that provides an excellent balance between grip and tyre wear, making these tyres versatile across a wide range of track temperatures and conditions without requiring constant compound changes.
  • Carbon Rim Construction — Pre-mounted on lightweight carbon rims with a 46mm diameter and 26mm width, reducing unsprung mass and improving handling response compared to heavier aluminium alternatives commonly found on budget tyre and wheel sets.
  • Competition-Grade Racing Specification — These tyres are classified as racing and competition-level equipment, meaning they've been tested and proven in competitive environments where performance demands are at their highest.
  • Pre-Mounted and Ready to Run — Unlike many aftermarket options, these tyres arrive glued and mounted on the rims, eliminating time-consuming preparation and reducing the risk of improper fitting that could affect handling characteristics.
  • Italian Manufacturing Excellence — Produced with the engineering rigour and attention to detail for which Italian RC manufacturers are recognised, ensuring consistent quality across every set you purchase.
  • Matched Pair Supply — You receive two identical front tyres as a matched set, guaranteeing uniform grip characteristics across the front axle for balanced and predictable handling.
  • Low Tyre Wear Characteristics — The Attack foam formula is specifically formulated to resist degradation during extended running sessions, meaning these tyres maintain their performance characteristics longer than many competing options, delivering better value over the course of a racing season.

Technical Performance

The Team Corally Attack Foam Tyres deliver measurable performance advantages across the technical aspects that matter most in 1/12 circuit racing. The 35° Shore hardness of the Double Pink compound strikes an important engineering balance—soft enough to generate the grip needed for quick corner entry and exit on racing circuits, yet hard enough to resist tyre deformation and maintain consistent contact patch geometry lap after lap. This consistency is crucial in competitive racing where even fractional variations in tyre performance can accumulate into noticeable lap time differences. The foam construction itself works by conforming to micro-imperfections in the track surface, maximising grip whilst the denser internal structure resists excessive deformation under aggressive cornering loads. At 46mm in diameter and 26mm in width, these tyres are precisely dimensioned for 1/12 pan cars, ensuring correct gearing ratios and handling geometry. The carbon rims weigh significantly less than standard options, directly improving acceleration response and reducing rotational inertia during direction changes. Being pre-glued and mounted eliminates variables introduced by hand-fitting, ensuring every set performs identically out of the box. The engineering behind the Attack range reflects thousands of hours of track testing and data collection, resulting in a tyre package that works across varying ambient temperatures, track conditions, and driving styles without requiring constant setup adjustments.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Are Corally Attack foam tyres suitable for competitive 1/12 circuit racing? — Yes, absolutely. These tyres are classified as competition-grade racing equipment and have been tested and proven in competitive racing environments. The 35° Shore Double Pink compound is specifically engineered for circuit racing where consistency and performance are essential, making them an excellent choice for club-level racing and serious hobbyists looking to improve their lap times.
  • What does 35° Shore hardness mean and how does it compare to other options? — Shore hardness measures tyre compound density on a standardised scale; 35° Shore on the Double Pink compound sits in the intermediate range. Softer compounds (lower numbers) provide more grip but wear faster, whilst harder compounds (higher numbers) last longer but may feel less grippy. The 35° Shore selection offers an excellent middle ground for racers who want good grip without excessive tyre wear across a season of racing.
  • Do these tyres come pre-mounted on the rims? — Yes, these Attack foam tyres arrive fully glued and mounted on carbon rims, ready to install directly onto your 1/12 pan car. This eliminates the time and uncertainty involved in manual tyre mounting and gluing, ensuring consistent quality and immediate readiness for racing.
  • What type of rims are included and why does rim material matter? — These tyres are mounted on lightweight carbon rims featuring a 46mm diameter and 26mm width. Carbon construction is significantly lighter than standard aluminium rims, which reduces unsprung mass and improves handling response, acceleration, and direction change performance—factors that directly influence lap times in 1/12 circuit racing.
  • Are these front tyres or rear tyres, and can I use them on both axles? — These are specifically front tyres for 1/12 pan cars. Whilst the construction might physically fit rear wheels, using front-compound tyres on the rear axle would alter your vehicle's handling balance and reduce performance. You should use these only as front tyres and source appropriate rear tyres separately.
  • How long will these tyres last before needing replacement? — The Attack foam formulation is engineered for low tyre wear, meaning they maintain performance characteristics through extended racing sessions and multiple race meetings before degradation becomes noticeable. Actual lifespan depends on driving style, track conditions, and ambient temperature, but competitive racers typically find these tyres offer excellent value across a full season.
  • What track conditions are these tyres best suited for? — These tyres offer excellent grip under various track conditions, making them versatile across smooth, textured, and moderately worn surfaces. The 35° Shore compound performs consistently across a wide temperature range, reducing the need to change compounds when conditions vary slightly during practice and racing sessions.
