The Corally brand is recognised globally as a leader in RC racing components, and these tyres embody that commitment to excellence.
Foam tyres have long been the preferred choice for indoor and circuit racing because they provide superior grip levels compared to rubber compounds whilst maintaining predictable handling characteristics throughout a race. The Attack range from Team Corally has established itself as a trusted performer at club level and beyond, offering racers a cost-effective way to access professional-grade performance without compromising on quality. Made in Italy, these tyres combine decades of manufacturing expertise with modern tyre technology to deliver consistent lap times and minimal tyre wear during competitive sessions.
If you're an RC car enthusiast in the UK looking to improve your 1/12 pan car's performance on the track, these Corally Attack foam tyres are an excellent investment. The 32 Shore hardness rating makes them particularly versatile across different track surfaces and conditions, whilst the carbon rim construction ensures lightweight performance without sacrificing durability. With two tyres included per pack, you're getting a complete front axle solution ready to fit to your existing 1/12 circuit pan car.
Key Features
- Attack Foam Compound Technology — Team Corally's Attack foam tyres offer excellent grip levels under various track conditions, meaning your car will stick to the track surface more effectively during acceleration, cornering, and braking phases of your lap.
- Low Tyre Wear Rating — Unlike tyres that degrade rapidly during competition, these Attack tyres are engineered to maintain their performance characteristics throughout extended racing sessions, meaning fewer tyre changes during an event and better value for money over time.
- 32 Shore Hardness Compound — This medium compound hardness provides a sweet spot between grip and longevity, performing reliably across a wide range of track surfaces whilst resisting the excessive wear that softer compounds experience during hard driving.
- Pre-Mounted on Carbon Rims — The tyres arrive already glued and mounted onto lightweight carbon rims, eliminating the need for time-consuming preparation work and allowing you to install them straight onto your 1/12 pan car immediately.
- Lightweight Carbon Rim Construction — Carbon rims reduce unsprung weight on your RC car, which directly improves handling responsiveness, acceleration, and overall lap time performance compared to heavier alternative rim materials.
- Japanese Magenta Compound Formulation — The magenta colour indicates the specific compound mix used in these tyres, which has been developed to match the technical requirements of modern 1/12 circuit racing at competitive levels.
- 46mm Diameter / 26mm Width Specification — These dimensions are the correct size for 1/12 scale pan cars, with the width optimised for circuit racing stability and the diameter providing the proper gear ratio calibration for performance vehicles.
- Made in Italy — Italian manufacturing brings decades of tyre-making expertise and quality control standards, ensuring each set meets the exacting specifications required for racing applications.
- Two-Piece Set Format — Each package includes two complete tyres on rims, providing the front axle covering for your 1/12 pan car and representing the standard configuration needed for one vehicle.
Technical Performance
The Corally Attack foam tyres deliver the kind of technical performance characteristics that separate competitive racing setups from casual bashers. The 32 Shore hardness rating sits in the medium range of foam tyre compounds, making these tyres exceptionally versatile across the temperature variations and track surface conditions typical of UK indoor and outdoor racing venues. Foam compounds work fundamentally differently to rubber tyres by providing microscopically open cellular structures that interlock with track surfaces, generating significantly higher grip coefficients. This is why you'll see foam tyres on virtually every 1/12 circuit car competing at club level and above. The Attack compound has been specifically formulated to maximise this advantage whilst maintaining the low wear characteristics that make them economical for regular racers. The 46mm diameter and 26mm width dimensions are precision-engineered for 1/12 pan car specifications, ensuring proper load distribution across the tyre contact patch and maintaining the correct gear ratio relationships in your drivetrain. The carbon rim construction is critical to performance: carbon fibre offers exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, meaning minimal rotational mass that would otherwise slow acceleration and decelerate cornering response. These rims feature a 0 offset configuration, which is standard for 1/12 circuit cars and ensures the tyres sit flush with your suspension geometry. The pre-mounted and glued configuration means the tyres arrive optimally mounted with the correct pressure and seating, eliminating variations that come from field mounting. For UK racers using these on standard 1/12 pan car platforms, you can expect measurably improved corner grip, reduced tyre rolling resistance losses, and consistent performance throughout 10-15 minute race heats typical of club-level competition.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Are Corally Attack foam tyres suitable for beginners to 1/12 circuit racing? — Yes, these tyres are excellent for building competitive skills. Foam tyres like the Attack range are more forgiving than ultra-soft racing compounds because the 32 Shore hardness provides a good margin for driving errors while still delivering the grip needed to learn proper racing lines and techniques. Many UK clubs recommend Attack-level tyres for drivers progressing from casual running to competitive racing.
- What is the difference between 32 Shore and softer tyre compounds? — Lower shore numbers (softer compounds like 25-28 Shore) provide maximum grip but wear very quickly and generate heat rapidly, making them suitable only for short sprint heats in optimal conditions. The 32 Shore Attack compound balances excellent grip levels with significantly extended wear life, making it ideal for club racing where cost per race matters. Harder compounds (35+ Shore) sacrifice grip for extreme durability but require warmer track conditions to perform optimally.
- Do these tyres come ready to use out of the box? — Completely. The Attack tyres arrive pre-mounted and glued onto their carbon rims, meaning you can fit them directly to your 1/12 pan car's front axle without any preparation work, tyre gluing, or mounting procedures. This is a massive time-saver compared to purchasing loose tyres.
- What 1/12 pan car platforms are these tyres compatible with? — These tyres are designed for all standard 1/12 scale pan car platforms that use conventional front axle configurations. They are compatible with popular models from manufacturers like Team Associated, Kyosho, and other 1/12 circuit car producers. The 46mm diameter and 26mm width are the industry-standard dimensions for 1/12 circuit racing.
- How long do Corally Attack foam tyres typically last during racing? — Under regular club racing conditions, a set of Attack foam tyres will typically remain competitive for 5-8 race heats before wear becomes visible. The exact lifespan depends on driving style, track surface abrasiveness, and track temperature. Aggressive driving on rough surfaces accelerates wear, whilst smooth driving on well-prepared indoor tracks extends tyre life considerably.
- Why are carbon rims better than alternative materials for 1/12 racing? — Carbon fibre rims are significantly lighter than aluminium or plastic alternatives whilst maintaining superior strength. This reduced rotational mass directly improves your car's acceleration, deceleration, and handling responsiveness around corners. In competitive racing where lap times are separated by tenths of seconds, this weight saving translates into measurable performance gains.
- Are these foam tyres suitable for outdoor racing? — Yes, foam tyres like the Attack range perform well in outdoor conditions. They excel on properly prepared outdoor circuits with consistent surface texture. However, foam tyres do absorb moisture, so they should be dried after exposure to damp conditions. Extreme outdoor temperatures (very hot or very cold) can shift the compound characteristics slightly, but the 32 Shore rating remains effective across typical UK seasonal temperature ranges.
