Overview
The Corally Servo Saver Small 24 Spline Hitec C-10131 is an essential protective component for anyone running 1/10 and 1/12 scale RC racing cars in the UK. This precision-engineered servo saver is specifically designed to safeguard your valuable Hitec servo from the punishing impacts and hard crashes that are inevitable in competitive racing and aggressive bashing. Whether you're pushing your RC car UK to the limit on the track or enjoying high-speed runs, this servo saver strikes the perfect balance between protection and performance, ensuring your steering servo remains undamaged whilst maintaining responsive handling.
Servo damage is one of the most common and costly failures in RC racing, particularly when your car impacts obstacles at speed or rolls over during intense manoeuvres. The Corally Servo Saver Small addresses this problem with intelligent engineering that protects your investment without compromising the steering precision you need for competitive racing. This is a must-have upgrade for any serious RC enthusiast who wants to extend the lifespan of their servo and avoid expensive replacement costs. Racing with a proper servo saver installed is simply the smart way to protect your RC car setup.
Available now at RC Model Shop, this genuine Corally component is built to the high standards you expect from a trusted RC car retailer. The pre-adjusted spring mechanism works automatically to absorb impact forces and flex under extreme steering loads, preventing both servo damage and the loss of steering control during crashes. If you're running a competitive 1/10 or 1/12 scale RC buggy or touring car, this servo saver is an affordable and effective way to protect your servo and keep your car on the track.
Key Features
- Pre-Adjusted Spring Mechanism — The servo saver comes with a factory pre-adjusted spring that has been carefully tuned to provide the optimal balance between protection and performance, eliminating the need for time-consuming adjustments right out of the box.
- Impact Protection for Steering Servo — The cleverly designed composite construction absorbs and distributes impact forces away from your servo, preventing damage from crashes, rollovers and collisions that would otherwise result in expensive servo replacement or repair.
- Prevents Extreme Steering Deflection — By limiting the range of motion during heavy impacts, the servo saver stops your servo horn from being forced beyond safe operating angles, which would otherwise strip gears or damage internal components.
- Crash Flexibility Without Servo Damage — The spring provides enough flex to absorb hard crashes and protect delicate servo internals, whilst remaining stiff enough to maintain steering control and responsiveness during normal racing conditions.
- Hitec 24-Spline Compatibility — Designed specifically for Hitec servos with 24-tooth spline output shafts, ensuring a perfect fit and secure connection to your steering servo without modification or adapter parts.
- Suitable for 1/12 and 1/10 Racing Cars — This servo saver is engineered for both 1/12 scale mini racing cars and the more common 1/10 scale touring cars, buggies and short-course trucks, making it a versatile choice for multiple RC car platforms.
- Molded Composite Construction — The durable moulded composite material offers excellent strength-to-weight ratio, resisting impact damage whilst remaining lightweight enough not to affect steering response or servo speed.
Technical Performance
The Corally Servo Saver Small C-10131 is engineered using precision moulded composite materials that combine strength, durability and impact absorption properties. The pre-adjusted spring is the heart of the design, calibrated by Corally's engineering team to provide professional-grade protection without requiring any user adjustment or tuning. This is particularly important for racing applications where consistency and reliability are paramount — you need to know your servo saver will perform identically from race to race without drift or degradation. The 24-spline design is the industry standard for many quality Hitec servos used in competitive RC racing throughout the UK, from 1/12 scale pan cars to 1/10 touring cars and buggies. The spring tension is specifically engineered to flex and absorb energy during heavy impacts and hard crashes, yet remain rigid enough during normal cornering and steering inputs to maintain precise handling characteristics. This dual-purpose design philosophy is what separates a quality servo saver from cheaper alternatives — it must protect without sacrificing the responsiveness that competitive drivers demand. Installation is straightforward, simply replacing your existing servo horn mounting assembly with this protective component, making it an accessible upgrade for drivers of all experience levels.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What does a servo saver do and why do I need one for my RC car? — A servo saver protects your steering servo from impact damage during crashes by absorbing and distributing force away from the servo's delicate internal gears. When your RC car hits an obstacle or rolls over, the servo saver's spring flexes to absorb the shock rather than transmitting that force directly to your servo, which would otherwise strip gears or damage the servo irreparably. This is especially important in competitive racing where hard crashes are common, and servo replacement costs can be significant.
- Is the Corally Servo Saver Small suitable for beginners? — Yes, absolutely. Whilst the Corally Servo Saver Small is used by competitive racers throughout the UK, it is also ideal for beginners and casual bashers who want to protect their servo investment. The pre-adjusted spring means you do not need any technical knowledge or tuning skills — simply install it and enjoy the protection it provides. Any RC car hobbyist running a Hitec servo will benefit from this component.
- What Hitec servos does this servo saver fit? — The Corally Servo Saver Small is designed for Hitec servos with 24-tooth spline output shafts. This covers a wide range of Hitec servo models commonly used in 1/10 and 1/12 scale RC cars. If you are unsure whether your servo has a 24-spline shaft, check your servo manual or contact our knowledgeable team at RC Model Shop for confirmation.
- Does the servo saver affect steering performance or response? — No, the pre-adjusted spring is calibrated to remain rigid during normal steering inputs, so your car's handling and steering response remain unchanged during normal racing conditions. The servo saver only flexes when subjected to extreme impact forces during crashes, meaning you retain the precise steering control you need for competitive lap times.
- What is the difference between the small and other servo saver sizes? — Corally produces servo savers in different sizes to match different servo sizes and car scales. The Small version is designed specifically for 1/12 and 1/10 scale racing cars with standard-sized steering servos. If you are running a larger servo in a bigger RC car scale, you may need a different servo saver size. Check your servo specifications or contact RC Model Shop if you are unsure which size you need.
- How do I install the Corally Servo Saver? — Installation involves removing your existing servo horn or steering linkage assembly and replacing it with the servo saver unit. The 24-spline interface simply slides onto your servo's output shaft and is secured in place. Detailed installation instructions should accompany your purchase, and our team at RC Model Shop is always happy to provide guidance if needed.
