Overview
The Corally Servo Saver HD Large Universal 232425 Spline C-10124 is an essential upgrade for any RC enthusiast running 1/10 or 1/8 scale racing cars. Whether you're competing at the track or bashing hard on weekend adventures, this servo saver represents a critical investment in protecting one of the most expensive components of your RC car—your servo. This universally compatible servo saver fits most popular servos through its ingenious interchangeable bushing system, making it the perfect choice for UK RC car owners who demand reliability and protection without compromise.
Servo savers are engineered to absorb impacts and sudden steering inputs that would otherwise transfer directly to your servo's internal gears, causing expensive damage and costly repairs. The Corally HD Large version is specifically designed for heavy-duty applications where maximum protection is required. Its pre-adjusted spring mechanism strikes the perfect balance between protection and performance, preventing extreme steering deflection from impacts whilst remaining flexible enough to safeguard your servo during the most severe crashes. This makes it an indispensable component for competitive racers and serious RC enthusiasts across the UK who refuse to compromise on durability.
Built from moulded composite materials, the Corally servo saver combines lightweight construction with impressive toughness, ensuring your RC car's steering system can withstand the punishing demands of modern racing. The HD (Heavy Duty) designation means this isn't a basic servo saver—it's engineered for extreme conditions, making it the natural choice for bashers and racers alike.
Key Features
- Interchangeable Bushing System (23T, 24T, 25T) — This servo saver includes three different spline bushings that allow you to fit the unit to most popular servo brands and models used in RC racing. Rather than being locked to a single servo type, you can swap bushings to match your specific servo, making this a truly universal solution that grows with your RC collection as you upgrade and change components.
- Pre-Adjusted Heavy Duty Spring — The internal spring is factory pre-adjusted to deliver the optimal balance between protection and steering response. The spring is strong enough to prevent extreme steering deflection caused by hard impacts and kerbing, yet flexible enough to absorb shock loads that would otherwise destroy your servo's internal gearbox. This engineering excellence means you get protection without sacrificing the precise steering feel that competitive drivers demand.
- Moulded Composite Construction — The servo saver body is manufactured from high-quality moulded composite materials that deliver the perfect combination of lightweight design and exceptional durability. Composite construction provides inherent vibration dampening and impact absorption properties that metal components simply cannot match, whilst keeping overall weight minimal to preserve your RC car's handling characteristics.
- Universal Compatibility — Designed to work across both 1/10 and 1/8 scale racing cars, this servo saver accommodates the widest possible range of popular RC vehicles. Whether you're running a 1/10 scale buggy, short course truck, or 1/8 scale truggy, the HD Large size and universal spline bushings ensure this will integrate seamlessly into your setup.
- Heavy Duty (HD) Rating — The HD designation means this servo saver is engineered specifically for the most demanding applications. It's not for casual drivers—it's built for racers, bashers, and serious competitors who push their RC cars to the absolute limit and need components that won't let them down when it matters most.
Technical Performance
The Corally Servo Saver HD Large represents serious engineering designed to protect your investment. When you're investing in a quality digital servo or coreless servo for your RC car, protecting that component from impact damage becomes a top priority. A servo can easily cost £40-£80 or more, making servo protection not just a nice-to-have but an essential part of your RC car's build specification. The pre-adjusted spring mechanism in this servo saver is calibrated to trigger at the exact threshold where dangerous impact forces would begin to damage internal servo gears. Once activated, the spring compresses to absorb the shock, preventing the force from being transmitted directly to the servo. The genius of this design is that in normal driving conditions, the servo saver remains rigid, delivering crisp, precise steering response that competitive racers demand. It only flexes when impacts occur, making it completely transparent to your driving experience until it's needed most. The moulded composite construction ensures that the servo saver itself won't introduce unwanted flex or compliance into your steering system—it maintains structural integrity whilst the spring mechanism does all the protective work. For UK RC car owners operating in competitive environments, this level of engineering translates directly to more consistent performance, fewer servo failures, and ultimately a better return on your investment in quality RC equipment.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Will this servo saver fit my RC car servo? — The Corally servo saver features interchangeable 23T, 24T, and 25T spline bushings that fit most popular servo brands used in RC cars. These three bushing options cover the vast majority of servos used in 1/10 and 1/8 scale racing. Before purchasing, check your servo's spline count—it will typically be printed on the servo case or available from the manufacturer's specification sheet. If your servo has a 23T, 24T, or 25T spline, this universal servo saver will work perfectly.
- Is this suitable for both casual bashers and competitive racers? — Absolutely. The HD Large servo saver suits both application types perfectly. For casual RC car owners and bashers, it provides essential protection against the impacts and crashes that are inevitable when pushing your RC car hard on uneven terrain. For competitive racers, the pre-adjusted spring mechanism ensures you get protective benefits without any compromise to steering precision and feel. The factory pre-adjustment means it's ready to use straight from the box without any tuning required.
- What's the difference between HD and standard servo savers? — The HD (Heavy Duty) designation indicates this servo saver is engineered for the most extreme conditions with a stronger, more robust spring mechanism and larger physical size. Standard servo savers typically use lighter springs suitable for gentler driving, whilst the HD version is specifically calibrated for high-impact scenarios where maximum protection is essential. The HD Large size also means it can accommodate larger servo splines and handles greater impact forces without triggering prematurely.
- Do I need to adjust the spring after installation? — No. The Corally servo saver arrives factory pre-adjusted with the spring calibrated to optimal settings. This means you can install it and use it immediately without any tuning or adjustment required. The engineering team at Corally has already determined the perfect spring tension for maximum protection across typical racing and bashing scenarios, so there's no guesswork involved.
- How do I know which bushing size to use? — Check your servo's specification sheet or the marking on the servo case to determine the spline count. Common sizes in RC racing are 23T, 24T, and 25T splines. This servo saver includes all three options, so you simply select the bushing that matches your servo and install it into the servo saver body. The bushings are easily swappable, allowing you to use this servo saver with multiple servos if needed.
- Will this servo saver affect my steering response? — In normal driving conditions, the pre-adjusted spring remains rigid, meaning your steering response remains completely unaffected. The servo saver only becomes active when impacts occur, at which point it absorbs shock energy. This is the key advantage of Corally's pre-adjustment—you get full steering precision during normal driving, with protection activating automatically only when needed.
