Key Features
- 7075 T6 Aluminium Construction — This premium aircraft-grade aluminium alloy is renowned in engineering applications for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, meaning the chassis brace provides maximum rigidity without adding unnecessary mass to your RC car. The 7075 T6 temper specifically indicates it has been heat-treated to peak hardness, making it significantly stronger than standard aluminium alternatives found in budget tuning parts.
- Hard Anodised Black Finish — The hard anodised surface treatment creates a durable, corrosion-resistant protective layer that maintains the component's appearance through countless hours of RC driving and regular maintenance. This finish also provides better longevity in wet conditions, making it ideal for UK RC car enthusiasts who race in variable weather.
- CNC-Machined Precision — Every chassis brace is manufactured using computer numerical control machining, which ensures tolerances far tighter than injection-moulded or hand-finished parts could achieve. This precision engineering means the brace will fit perfectly with your ASUGA XLR chassis geometry every single time, with no adjustment or modification needed.
- Swiss Engineering Design — Team Corally's Swiss design heritage brings decades of precision engineering expertise to every component. The chassis brace geometry has been carefully calculated to reinforce the exact stress points on the ASUGA XLR chassis while minimising weight addition and maintaining the vehicle's handling balance.
- ASUGA XLR Specific Fitment — This rear chassis brace is engineered specifically for the Corally ASUGA XLR model, ensuring perfect alignment and integration with the existing chassis structure. Compatibility is absolute, with zero guesswork about whether the part will fit correctly.
- 3mm Thickness Design — The deliberate 3mm thickness represents the optimal balance between structural rigidity and weight penalty. This dimension was engineered to provide measurable improvements in chassis flex reduction without compromising the RC car's agility or battery runtime.
- Made in Italy — Manufactured in Italy, known for precision engineering and quality control standards, this component reflects Team Corally's commitment to producing components that meet the exacting standards demanded by competitive RC car racing worldwide.
Technical Performance
The Corally Chassis Brace represents serious engineering applied to RC car tuning. At 3mm thickness in 7075 T6 aluminium, this component directly addresses one of the fundamental challenges in high-performance RC driving: chassis flex under acceleration, cornering, and braking forces. The ASUGA XLR, as a 6S LiPo-compatible brushless RC platform, generates substantial power and demands a rigid chassis to translate that power into predictable handling and consistent lap times. This rear chassis brace works in concert with the baseline chassis structure to reduce unwanted flex, particularly during aggressive cornering where the rear end would otherwise compress and twist. The hard anodised finish ensures the component maintains its structural properties and appearance even after extended use, with the anodised layer providing protection against corrosion, impact marks, and the wear that comes from regular RC car maintenance and cleaning. CNC machining ensures that every brace is identical, meaning whether you order this component today or next month, you'll receive parts that fit identically and perform identically, eliminating variables from your tuning process. For competitive RC racers running the ASUGA XLR in club racing or event competition, this kind of precision and consistency is fundamental to achieving repeatable lap times and reliable performance across multiple race sessions.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Will this chassis brace improve my ASUGA XLR's performance? — Yes. By reducing chassis flex, the brace improves weight transfer during cornering and acceleration, making your RC car more responsive and predictable. You'll notice sharper turn-in response and more consistent handling through multiple laps. This is particularly noticeable if you're running competitive power levels with a 6S LiPo battery.
- Is this suitable for beginners? — While beginners can certainly install this component, it is primarily a performance tuning upgrade rather than a fundamental necessity. If you're new to the ASUGA XLR platform, the vehicle will perform admirably without upgrades. However, if you're serious about maximising your RC car's capabilities or progressing toward competitive driving, this is exactly the kind of upgrade to prioritise.
- What does hard anodised mean and why does it matter? — Hard anodising is an electrochemical surface treatment that creates a protective oxide layer on aluminium, making it significantly harder and more corrosion-resistant than untreated aluminium. For RC cars, this means your chassis brace will resist cosmetic damage, maintain its appearance longer, and provide better longevity in wet UK driving conditions. Unlike powder coating, hard anodising doesn't chip or peel, and it actually becomes part of the aluminium surface.
- Is 7075 T6 aluminium really better than standard aluminium? — Significantly yes. 7075 T6 is aerospace-grade aluminium with superior strength properties compared to standard 6061 or 6063 aluminium alloys found in many tuning parts. The 7075 designation means it contains zinc as a primary alloying element, and the T6 suffix indicates it has been heat-treated to peak hardness. This means the 3mm brace will provide substantially more rigidity than a thicker brace made from softer aluminium would, delivering the best strength-to-weight compromise.
- Will I need any tools to install this? — Installation requires only basic RC car tools such as hex keys or small screwdrivers, depending on how your ASUGA XLR's mounting points are configured. Team Corally's engineering ensures the brace will fit standard mounting locations. If you're already comfortable maintaining your RC car, installation will take only minutes.
- How does this compare to the plastic chassis brace that comes with my ASUGA XLR? — The factory plastic brace provides basic chassis support, but aluminium offers substantially greater rigidity. With 7075 T6 aluminium, you're getting a component engineered specifically for high-performance driving that will not flex under the forces generated by competitive 6S LiPo driving. The improvement is measurable and noticeable.
