Technical Performance
The Corally Driveshaft Centre Rear 170.5mm Steel represents high-quality engineering designed for serious RC car performance. Manufactured through CNC machining and constructed from hardened steel, this component delivers the durability and precision required for consistent power transmission in competitive and recreational RC driving. The hardening process applied to the steel increases its resistance to fatigue and wear, meaning it will maintain its dimensional accuracy and smooth operation even under the demanding conditions of repeated acceleration, deceleration, and lateral forces experienced during cornering and high-speed driving. The 5.0mm shaft tube diameter is engineered to interface seamlessly with Corally's transmission housings and differential assemblies, whilst the 3 x 12.8mm pin dimensions create secure, positive engagement that prevents slippage and ensures all engine torque is efficiently transferred to the rear wheels. The 7.8mm ball end diameter provides the precise geometry needed for universal joint articulation, allowing the driveshaft to operate smoothly through suspension movement whilst maintaining power delivery. As a centre rear driveshaft, this component is specifically engineered for the geometry and load paths of Corally's range of RC cars including the Kronos XTR 2022, Kronos 2022, Kronos 2021, Kronos XTR 2021, Muraco 2022, Muraco 2021, Shogun 2022, Shogun 2021, Shogun 2020, Punisher 2021, and other compatible models. This level of engineering precision ensures that whether you're competing in races across the UK or enjoying casual weekend driving, this driveshaft will deliver reliable, consistent performance with no play, vibration, or power loss.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What Corally RC car models does this centre rear driveshaft fit? — This C-00180-713 driveshaft is compatible with multiple Corally RC cars including the Kronos XTR 2022 (C-00273), Kronos 2022 (C-00172-R), Muraco 2022 (C-00176-R), Kronos XTR 2021 (C-00173), Shogun 2022 (C-00177-R), Kronos 2021 (C-00172), Shogun 2020 (C-00175), Shogun 2021 (C-00177), Muraco 2021 (C-00176), and Punisher 2021 (C-00171), as well as the Kronos 2020 (C-00170). Before ordering, verify that this centre rear driveshaft is the correct component for your specific Corally model and position.
- Why would I need to replace the centre driveshaft on my RC car? — The centre driveshaft transmits engine power to the rear axle and experiences significant rotational stress during driving. Over time, wear can occur, or the driveshaft may become damaged through impacts, collisions, or excessive load. A worn or damaged driveshaft will cause loss of power delivery, vibration, or noise. Replacing it with this genuine Corally component restores full performance and reliability.
- Is this a genuine OEM Corally part? — Yes, this is a genuine Team Corally original equipment manufacturer component, manufactured to the exact specifications of the driveshaft supplied in new Corally RC cars. It carries the official Corally part number C-00180-713 and includes the EAN barcode 8718057215286, confirming its authenticity.
- What material is this driveshaft made from, and why does it matter? — This driveshaft is constructed from hardened steel, which provides superior durability and fatigue resistance compared to softer materials. The hardening process creates a material that can withstand the repeated stress cycles of RC car driving without permanent deformation, meaning the driveshaft will maintain its precise dimensions and smooth operation throughout its lifespan.
- Do I need any tools or expertise to install this driveshaft? — Installation requires basic RC car maintenance knowledge and appropriate tools to safely remove the old driveshaft and install the new component. If you're unfamiliar with RC car maintenance, we recommend consulting your Corally manual or seeking advice from experienced RC enthusiasts at RC clubs in the UK, or contacting our team at RC Model Shop for guidance.
- What is the difference between this 170.5mm version and other driveshaft lengths? — Corally manufactures driveshafts in different lengths to suit different models and positions within the drivetrain. The 170.5mm length is specifically engineered for the centre rear position in compatible Corally models. Using the correct length ensures proper geometry, prevents binding, and maintains optimal power delivery. Using an incorrect length could damage your RC car's drivetrain.
