Overview
The Corally Shock Spring Soft Buggy Front is an essential suspension component for RC enthusiasts building or maintaining their 1/8 scale off-road buggies. This pair of precision-engineered shock springs is designed specifically for front suspension applications and offers the soft spring rate that many drivers prefer when setting up their RC buggies for optimal handling characteristics. Whether you're a dedicated racer fine-tuning your competition setup or a weekend basher looking to replace worn suspension components, these Corally springs deliver the performance and reliability expected from Team Corally's quality engineering.
These shock springs represent a critical tuning element in any serious RC car UK enthusiast's toolkit. The suspension system is one of the most important factors affecting how your RC buggy handles, accelerates, corners and absorbs bumps during high-speed runs. By choosing the correct spring rate—in this case the soft specification—you can significantly improve your vehicle's performance across different track conditions and driving styles. Corally has built a strong reputation in the RC community for manufacturing high-quality spare parts that withstand the demands of both competitive racing and recreational bashing.
With a thickness of 1.4mm and a length of 75-77mm, these springs are engineered to fit seamlessly into Corally's extensive range of RC buggies and competition vehicles. The springs are manufactured from quality spring steel and undergo professional production treatment to ensure durability and consistent performance. This is a genuine Corally component, offering authentic replacement parts rather than generic alternatives that may compromise your vehicle's suspension geometry and handling balance.
Key Features
- Soft Spring Rate — The soft specification provides a more compliant suspension response, which is ideal for drivers who prioritise ride comfort and traction over a stiffer, more responsive setup, particularly useful on bumpy or uneven track surfaces.
- Precision Engineering — These springs are manufactured to exact specifications with a 1.4mm wire diameter, ensuring consistent performance and compatibility with Corally's front suspension geometry across all compatible models.
- Spring Steel Construction — The springs are crafted from quality spring steel material, providing the strength and resilience necessary to withstand repeated compression and extension cycles during extended RC buggy sessions.
- Professional Production Treatment — The manufacturing process includes specialised treatment to enhance durability and maintain consistent spring characteristics throughout the lifespan of the component.
- 1.4mm Wire Diameter — This specific thickness is critical for the suspension's behaviour, influencing how the springs compress under load and return to their original state, directly affecting how your RC buggy handles corners and accelerates.
- 75-77mm Length — The length specification is precisely calibrated to work with Corally's suspension design, ensuring proper shock travel and ride height geometry for optimal vehicle performance.
- Pack of Two — You receive two springs in this package, allowing you to replace both front shocks or maintain a spare set for your RC buggy collection.
Technical Performance
These Corally shock springs exemplify the high standards of engineering that serious RC buggy drivers depend on. The 1.4mm spring steel wire diameter combined with the 75-77mm length creates a suspension component with carefully balanced spring constants that directly influence your vehicle's handling characteristics. The soft spring rate makes these springs particularly suitable for drivers who favour a more forgiving suspension setup that excels at maintaining traction across varied terrain. The professional production treatment applied during manufacturing ensures that the springs maintain consistent performance characteristics throughout their working life, resisting fatigue and maintaining their intended spring rate even after hundreds of use cycles. Whether you're running your RC buggy on tarmac, carpet, dirt or mixed terrain, these springs provide the predictable, reliable suspension performance that separates quality component suppliers from budget alternatives. The engineering precision applied to these springs reflects Corally's commitment to manufacturing parts that work in harmony with the rest of your vehicle's chassis, suspension and drivetrain systems.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Will these shock springs fit my Corally RC buggy? — These springs are designed as direct replacement parts for multiple Corally buggy models including the Python series, Radix series, Spark 6, Syncro, Punisher 4 and Kagama 4. Check your specific model number against the compatibility list to confirm they'll work with your vehicle. The 1.4mm diameter and 75-77mm length are standard for Corally's front suspension applications across these models.
- What is the difference between soft, medium and hard spring rates? — Spring rate directly affects how your RC buggy's suspension responds to bumps and corners. Soft springs like these compress more easily, offering better traction and a more compliant ride on rough terrain but with slightly less responsive steering. Medium springs provide a balanced approach, while hard springs deliver faster steering response but may reduce traction on uneven surfaces. Choosing soft springs means prioritising comfort and grip over sharp handling reflexes.
- Are these genuine Corally parts? — Yes, these are authentic Team Corally components manufactured to the company's quality standards. The model number C-00180-626 is the official Corally reference, and these springs include the manufacturer's barcode 8718057193102, ensuring you're receiving genuine parts rather than inferior alternatives.
- How often should I replace my shock springs? — Shock springs are wear items that gradually lose their spring rate through repeated compression cycles. Most RC enthusiasts replace their springs annually or after heavy use seasons. Keeping spare springs on hand ensures you can quickly swap them out and return to racing without downtime, which is why buying multiple sets is a smart investment.
- Can I mix different spring rates on my RC buggy? — While it's technically possible to run different spring rates front and rear, it's generally not recommended as it compromises your suspension geometry and handling characteristics. For optimal performance, matching pairs of springs are preferred. However, some experienced tuners intentionally use different rates for specific track conditions—this is an advanced setup technique.
- What makes Corally springs better than generic alternatives? — Corally springs undergo professional production treatment and are engineered to work perfectly with Corally's suspension geometry and overall vehicle design. Generic springs may have slightly different rates or dimensions that don't integrate properly with your buggy's chassis, potentially causing handling issues or uneven wear on other suspension components.
