Overview
The Corally Ball Joint 6mm Composite 2 Pcs (C-00180-044) is an essential suspension spare part designed for RC car enthusiasts across the UK who demand reliability and precision in their models. Whether you're piloting a Corally RC buggy, truck, or crawler, ball joints are critical components that connect your suspension arms to the steering knuckles, enabling smooth articulation and responsive handling. This pack contains two composite ball joints, making it perfect for replacing worn or damaged units on either side of your vehicle's front or rear suspension.
Ball joints experience constant stress during RC driving, particularly when navigating rough terrain, performing jumps, or executing sharp cornering manoeuvres. Over time, even the highest-quality ball joints can wear out, leading to loose steering, unpredictable handling, and potential suspension damage. That's why keeping spare ball joints in your RC toolkit is essential for any serious RC car UK enthusiast. The Corally Ball Joint 6mm is manufactured to the same exacting standards as genuine OEM parts, ensuring compatibility and performance across a comprehensive range of Corally models.
At RC Model Shop, we stock authentic Corally replacement parts because we understand that maintaining your RC vehicle to factory specifications is crucial for optimal performance and longevity. Whether you're a seasoned competitor, a weekend basher, or just discovering the world of RC for the first time, having the right spare parts on hand means less downtime and more track or field time enjoying your hobby.
Key Features
- Composite PA Material Construction — These ball joints are manufactured from injection-moulded composite PA (polyamide), which offers an excellent balance of strength, durability and weight. Composite materials are lighter than metal alternatives whilst still providing the rigidity needed for reliable suspension performance, making them ideal for reducing overall vehicle weight without compromising structural integrity.
- 6mm Diameter Joint — The 6mm diameter specification is engineered to fit Corally's precision-designed suspension geometry, ensuring perfect alignment and smooth articulation. This size has been proven through countless hours of development and testing to deliver the optimal balance of movement range and load-bearing capacity for Corally RC cars.
- Pack of Two Units — This convenient two-piece pack allows you to service both sides of your suspension simultaneously, whether you're replacing front or rear ball joints. Having a matching pair ensures symmetrical handling characteristics and eliminates the common problem of replacing only one side and experiencing imbalanced steering response.
- Genuine OEM Specification — As an authorised spare part manufactured to Corally's exacting standards, these ball joints guarantee perfect fitment and performance. Using genuine parts rather than aftermarket alternatives ensures your RC car maintains its intended handling characteristics and suspension geometry.
- Injection Moulded Precision — The injection moulding process ensures consistency and precision in every unit produced, meaning each ball joint meets identical dimensional and material specifications. This manufacturing excellence translates to reliable performance and longer service life compared to less precisely manufactured alternatives.
Technical Performance
The Corally Ball Joint 6mm Composite represents genuine OEM engineering designed specifically for the Corally range of RC vehicles. Manufactured from injection-moulded composite PA material, these ball joints deliver the perfect combination of lightweight construction and structural rigidity that modern RC suspension demands. The 6mm diameter has been engineered through extensive development to provide optimal load distribution across the suspension mounting points, reducing stress concentration and extending component life. Composite materials offer several performance advantages over traditional metal ball joints: they are lighter (reducing unsprung weight and improving suspension responsiveness), they are corrosion-resistant (important for RC cars used in wet British conditions), and they maintain dimensional stability across a wide temperature range. The injection moulding process ensures that each ball joint is manufactured to identical specifications, with consistent wall thickness and material density throughout. This precision manufacturing is essential for maintaining proper suspension geometry and achieving the responsive handling that Corally chassis are recognised for. These ball joints are designed to work in conjunction with Corally's suspension arms and steering knuckles, having been engineered together as a complete system to maximise articulation range whilst maintaining the precise geometry required for competitive performance or recreational bashing.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What Corally RC cars are compatible with the C-00180-044 ball joint? — This ball joint is compatible with an extensive range of Corally models, including the Punisher 2021, Jambo 2021 and 2022, Kronos 2020, 2021 and 2022, Radix 4, Radix 6 2021 and 2022, Dementor 2020, 2021 and 2022, Shogun 2020, 2021 and 2022, Muraco 2021 and 2022, Python 2020, 2021 and 2022, Kronos XTR 2021 and 2022, Spark6, Asuga XLR, and Sketer. It's also compatible with the newer Kagama XP 6S range and Spark XB6 6S models. Always verify your specific model number before ordering to ensure compatibility.
- How often should I replace my RC car's ball joints? — Ball joint replacement frequency depends on how intensively you use your RC car. If you're a competitive racer running regularly, inspect ball joints every few weeks of heavy use. For weekend bashers, annual inspection is typically sufficient. Signs of wear include loose or sloppy steering response, clicking or popping sounds during suspension movement, or visible wobbling at the joint. The moment you notice any of these symptoms, replacement is advised to maintain precise handling and prevent further suspension damage.
- Are these genuine Corally OEM parts? — Yes, absolutely. The C-00180-044 is manufactured by Team Corally to their exacting OEM specifications and is the genuine factory spare part for compatible models. Using genuine OEM parts ensures perfect fitment, maintains your vehicle's suspension geometry, and guarantees the performance your Corally chassis was engineered to deliver. Aftermarket alternatives may fit loosely or affect handling characteristics.
- Can I use these ball joints on other RC car brands? — No, these ball joints are specifically engineered for Corally suspension systems with their unique geometry and mounting specifications. Using them on non-Corally vehicles could result in poor fitment, incorrect suspension geometry, and unpredictable handling. Always use manufacturer-specific spare parts to maintain proper vehicle function.
- What does composite PA material mean and why is it better than metal? — PA stands for polyamide, a high-performance plastic polymer that's injection-moulded into precise shapes. Composite PA offers several advantages over metal alternatives: it's significantly lighter (reducing unsprung weight and improving suspension response), it's inherently corrosion-resistant (perfect for UK weather conditions including wet driving), it absorbs minor impacts and vibration better than rigid metals, and it maintains dimensional stability across temperature ranges without expanding or contracting like metals. The trade-off is that composite materials have lower absolute strength than metal, but Corally engineers these joints specifically to never approach their failure limits during normal use.
- Why do I need two ball joints if my car only has front suspension? — Most RC cars have ball joints at multiple suspension points: typically both front-left and front-right for steering, and sometimes rear ball joints as well. If you're replacing worn joints, using a matching pair ensures symmetrical suspension geometry and balanced handling on both sides of your chassis. Even if you only need to replace one joint immediately, having a spare on hand means you won't be caught without replacement parts when the other side inevitably wears.
- How do I know if my ball joints are worn out? — Common signs of worn ball joints include a noticeable click or pop sound when the suspension articulates (especially during landing from jumps), excessive play or sloppiness in the steering wheel that feels independent of servo movement, wandering or unpredictable handling that's difficult to dial in, or visible side-to-side wiggling of the wheel when you push and pull on the tyre vertically. If you observe any of these symptoms, replacement is strongly recommended.
