Overview
The Team Associated FT Titanium Turnbuckle 4-40 x 35mm (AS92341) is an essential lightweight linkage component designed for precision adjustments on high-performance RC cars and trucks. Whether you're a competitive racer fine-tuning your 1/10 scale buggy, an RC car enthusiast in the UK looking to optimise your setup, or a serious RC model builder seeking factory-quality parts, this titanium turnbuckle delivers the reliability and performance you need. Factory Team components from Team Associated are recognised throughout the RC hobby for their exceptional engineering and durability, making this turnbuckle an ideal choice for anyone serious about their RC vehicle setup.
Turnbuckles are critical components in any RC car's linkage system, controlling everything from steering geometry to suspension geometry through their adjustable length. The titanium construction of this particular unit offers an excellent strength-to-weight balance that simply cannot be matched by standard steel alternatives. By reducing unnecessary mass in your linkage system while maintaining full structural integrity, titanium turnbuckles help improve overall vehicle responsiveness, handling characteristics, and performance on the track or trail. This is why serious RC racers and builders throughout the UK and beyond specify titanium components for their competition setups.
The AS92341 is designed with the 4-40 thread size and 35mm length, making it a straightforward replacement or upgrade option wherever these exact dimensions are specified in your model's design. As an official Factory Team component from Team Associated, you can trust that this turnbuckle meets the brand's exacting quality standards and will deliver consistent, reliable performance race after race, bash after bash.
Key Features
- Titanium Construction — The turnbuckle body is manufactured from titanium, offering a superior strength-to-weight ratio compared to standard steel alternatives, which means you get maximum durability without adding unnecessary mass to your RC vehicle's linkage system.
- 4-40 Thread Size — This industry-standard thread size is widely used across RC models and ensures compatibility with your existing setup, making installation and adjustment straightforward for RC car UK owners and builders worldwide.
- 35mm Length — The fixed length specification makes this turnbuckle suitable for applications requiring precise steering, camber, or other linkage adjustments where a 35mm dimension is specified in your model's manual or build guide.
- Factory Team Quality — As part of Team Associated's Factory Team range, this component undergoes rigorous quality control and is designed to the same exacting standards used in professional racing applications, ensuring reliability whether you're racing competitively or enjoying casual weekend bashing.
- Lightweight Design — The titanium material is significantly lighter than traditional steel, helping to reduce your RC model's overall weight and improve acceleration, handling, and battery runtime without compromising on strength or durability.
- Fine Adjustment Capability — Turnbuckles allow for precise micro-adjustments to your vehicle's geometry, enabling you to fine-tune steering response, camber angles, and suspension geometry to match your driving style and track conditions.
- Reliable Linkage Solution — This component is engineered for consistent performance in both on-road and off-road RC applications, making it equally suitable for buggy racers, truck builders, and general RC enthusiasts seeking quality replacement parts.
Technical Performance
The Team Associated FT Titanium Turnbuckle 4-40 x 35mm represents the pinnacle of lightweight linkage engineering for precision-focused RC car builders and competitive racers. The titanium construction delivers exceptional strength-to-weight performance that outperforms standard steel alternatives commonly found on budget RC kits. By choosing titanium over conventional materials, you're investing in a component that will resist corrosion, maintain its structural integrity through hundreds of adjustment cycles, and contribute to your vehicle's overall performance improvements. The 4-40 thread specification is a universal standard in the RC hobby, particularly prevalent in Team Associated vehicle designs and many other competitive RC platforms. The 35mm length provides the correct geometry for a wide range of linkage applications, from steering drag links to camber adjustment rods and various suspension geometry modifications. Whether you're running your RC car UK setup on asphalt circuits, dusty off-road tracks, or park terrain, this turnbuckle's engineering ensures that your geometry adjustments remain stable and predictable. The lightweight design means reduced unsprung and semi-sprung weight, which directly translates to improved handling response and chassis dynamics. Team Associated's Factory Team range represents the same components used in professional racing environments, so you're getting proven technology that works at the highest levels of RC competition. The material selection and manufacturing tolerances ensure that this turnbuckle will function flawlessly through repeated adjustment cycles without stripping threads or losing its precision geometry. For builders seeking to optimise their RC buggy, truck, or other vehicle platform, this is an investment in performance and reliability that will serve you well for years of enjoyable RC motoring.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is a turnbuckle and why do I need one for my RC car? — A turnbuckle is an adjustable link component used in RC vehicle suspension and steering systems that allows you to fine-tune your car's geometry by simply turning the threaded barrel to lengthen or shorten the linkage. This enables precise adjustments to camber angle, steering geometry, suspension ride height, and other critical setup parameters that directly affect your vehicle's handling, speed, and cornering grip.
- Why choose titanium over steel for a turnbuckle? — Titanium offers a significantly better strength-to-weight ratio than steel, meaning you get maximum durability and reliability whilst reducing the overall mass of your RC vehicle. This lighter weight contributes to improved acceleration, better handling response, longer battery runtime, and more responsive steering feedback — all critical factors whether you're racing competitively or enjoying casual RC bashing.
- Is this suitable for beginners? — Whilst turnbuckles are fundamental RC components, this particular part is best suited for builders and racers who are comfortable adjusting suspension geometry and fine-tuning their vehicle setup. Beginners should first understand their specific vehicle's manual and which linkages require 4-40 x 35mm components before purchasing, though once you know your model's requirements, installing this turnbuckle is straightforward.
- What models is this compatible with? — The Team Associated FT Titanium Turnbuckle is compatible with any RC model that specifically calls for a 4-40 thread size with 35mm length in its manual or build guide. Always consult your model's documentation to confirm the exact turnbuckle specifications required before purchasing, as using incorrect sizes can result in improper geometry and handling problems.
- How does this compare to standard steel turnbuckles? — Titanium turnbuckles like the AS92341 offer multiple advantages over standard steel alternatives: lighter weight reduces your vehicle's overall mass and improves performance, superior corrosion resistance ensures longevity even in wet conditions, and the strength-to-weight ratio means you get reliability without unnecessary bulk. Factory Team titanium components are used by professional RC racers worldwide, so you're getting proven competition-grade engineering.
- Can I adjust this turnbuckle easily? — Yes, the 4-40 thread design allows for smooth, consistent adjustment of the barrel length. By turning the ends in opposite directions, you can precisely lengthen or shorten the link to achieve the exact geometry your vehicle requires, making fine-tuning quick and intuitive for experienced builders.
