Technical Performance
The Team Associated B74 CVA Bone represents precision engineering in drivetrain component design. The CVA system (constant velocity bone) is engineered to transfer rotational power from the transmission to the wheels whilst allowing for the angular deflection required during cornering and suspension compression. At 62mm in length, this component is sized to work within the specific geometric constraints of the B74's drivetrain layout, maintaining proper angles and clearances throughout the suspension's travel range. The material composition and manufacturing tolerances are engineered to Team Associated's exacting standards, ensuring durability under the stresses of both competitive racing and casual bashing. Whether you're running your B74 on carpet tracks, dirt circuits, or backyard terrain, the CVA bone experiences constant rotational and angular loading, making it a periodic wear item that benefits from proactive replacement before failure occurs. Quality replacement parts like this genuine Associated component help maintain the responsiveness and precision handling that the B74 platform is known for, ensuring your vehicle continues to perform predictably lap after lap and run after run.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is the Team Associated B74 CVA Bone 62mm suitable for beginners or experienced RC enthusiasts? — This is a spare part rather than a complete vehicle, making it most appropriate for RC enthusiasts who already own and operate a Team Associated B74 and understand basic maintenance and component replacement. Beginners new to RC should start with a complete ready-to-run RC car UK package, then learn about maintenance components like this as they develop their skills.
- How do I know if I need to replace my CVA bone? — You should replace your CVA bone if you notice any of these signs: visible cracks, chips, or deformation; clicking or popping sounds from the drivetrain; reduced power transfer to the wheels; or inconsistent handling. If you're performing routine maintenance, checking your part number against your build sheet or vehicle manual ensures you order the correct 62mm specification.
- What is a CVA bone and why does it matter? — The CVA bone is part of the constant velocity drivetrain system that transfers power from the motor through the transmission to the wheels. It must flex and articulate as your suspension compresses and rebounds, and as you steer through corners. When worn or damaged, it compromises power delivery and handling precision, which is why having a quality replacement ready is important for any serious RC enthusiast.
- How often should I replace my CVA bones? — This depends on your driving style and frequency. Aggressive racers and bashers who frequently run their RC cars might replace CVA bones every few months of regular use, whilst occasional drivers might go longer. Regular inspection during maintenance sessions helps you catch wear early and replace components before they fail unexpectedly.
- Is this a genuine Team Associated part? — Yes, this is an official Team Associated part manufactured to OEM specifications. When you order from RC Model Shop, you receive genuine products backed by our commitment to authentic, authorised retail of all brands we stock.
- What other B74 spares might I need? — The B74 platform uses several drivetrain components that can wear with use, and maintaining an inventory of common spares is smart maintenance practice. Team Associated provides comprehensive spare part support for the B74, and RC Model Shop can help you identify other components that pair well with this CVA bone for complete drivetrain maintenance.
