Technical Performance

The Team Associated B64 FT WC Steering Arms V2 represent the culmination of extensive engineering and testing in the highly competitive 1/10 scale buggy class. Constructed from high-quality graphite material, these arms deliver the structural integrity needed to withstand the demands of competitive RC racing whilst maintaining the lightweight characteristics essential for optimal vehicle dynamics. The graphite composition ensures consistent steering geometry even under hard cornering loads, allowing drivers to push the limits without worrying about flex or deflection in the steering system. When specified alongside the matching #AS92104 B64 Steering Rack V2, these arms create an integrated steering system that has been proven in professional competition. The V2 iteration builds upon the original design with refinements that improve steering response characteristics and overall feel through the transmitter. Team Associated's engineering team has invested considerable resources into understanding how steering arm geometry, material selection, and integration with the rack system impacts overall vehicle handling. The result is a steering system that responds intuitively to driver input whilst maintaining the mechanical advantage needed for precise control in both high-speed sweeping turns and technical low-speed corners. For RC enthusiasts in the UK who take their buggy racing seriously, whether competing at club level or in regional championships, these factory-specification components provide the reassurance that comes from using parts proven by professional drivers. The graphite material selection reflects modern RC engineering best practices, offering superior performance compared to plastic or aluminium alternatives in terms of the balance between weight, strength, and consistency.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What vehicles do these B64 steering arms fit? — These Team Associated V2 steering arms are designed for the RC10B64 Team, RC10B64D Team, and RC10B64 Club Racer models. They are a direct replacement component and upgrade specification for these platforms.
  • Should I upgrade to these V2 arms if I have the original B64 steering arms? — Yes, if you own an RC10B64 model, upgrading to the V2 specification offers refined steering characteristics and improved response. Team Associated designed the V2 arms as an evolution of the original specification, incorporating engineering refinements that improve overall handling. If you're competitive about your RC racing, the upgrade is worthwhile.
  • What steering rack should I pair these arms with? — Team Associated specifies that these V2 arms should be paired with the #AS92104 B64 Steering Rack V2 for optimal results. This combination has been engineered together to deliver optimised Ackermann geometry and steering rate. Using them together ensures you get the full benefit of the factory team development.
  • Why choose graphite steering arms over plastic or aluminium? — Graphite offers superior performance compared to both plastic and aluminium in steering arm applications. Plastic lacks the rigidity needed for consistent geometry under racing loads, whilst aluminium is heavier. Graphite provides the perfect balance of lightweight construction and structural integrity, maintaining precise steering geometry lap after lap without flex or deflection.
  • Are these genuine Team Associated parts? — Yes, these are genuine factory parts manufactured by Team Associated. The part number AS92034 is the official specification. When you order from RC Model Shop, you're purchasing authentic components that carry the full warranty and quality assurance of the manufacturer.
  • How do I know if my steering arms need replacement? — If you notice your steering response feels less sharp or consistent than before, if there's visible cracking or damage to the arms, or if you're rebuilding your steering system during maintenance, it's time to replace them. Factory team drivers replace their steering components regularly to maintain peak performance.
  • Will these improve my lap times? — These factory-specification arms are engineered for optimal steering response and consistency, which can contribute to improved lap times by providing more predictable handling characteristics. The V2 design refinements offer sharper turn-in response compared to original specification arms, which can make a measurable difference in competitive racing.
  • Can these arms be used on a standard B64, or only the Team variant? — These arms are designed for RC10B64 Team, RC10B64D Team, and RC10B64 Club Racer models. Check your specific vehicle model before ordering. If you're unsure about compatibility with your particular B64, RC Model Shop's team are happy to advise—contact us on 01543 577278.
