Whether you're running a competitive 1/10 scale buggy, maintaining a beloved RC truggy, or simply keeping your RC model collection in top condition, these shock bodies provide the exact specifications needed to maintain predictable suspension performance across a range of Team Associated platforms. As a critical wear item in any RC car UK setup, quality shock bodies are essential for consistent handling and longevity, making this genuine Team Associated part an investment in your hobby.
Manufactured by Team Associated, one of the most respected and established names in RC racing worldwide, these 13 x 23mm shock bodies offer a straightforward way to keep your shock assemblies consistent with factory sizing standards. Whether you're a weekend basher enjoying the thrills of off-road racing or a competitive racer pushing the limits of performance, maintaining original equipment dimensions ensures your suspension geometry remains true and your handling characteristics remain predictable. These shock bodies are compatible with several popular Team Associated models including the B6.4D, B6.4, B74.2D, B74.2, B7, B7D, B84, and B84 Classic platforms, making them an essential spare for any serious RC enthusiast with multiple vehicles in their collection.
Buying genuine Team Associated spares like the AS91920 shock bodies is significantly more cost-effective than replacing entire shock assemblies, and it ensures you're using components that have been tested and validated by the manufacturer. When you need replacement shock bodies for your RC model, choosing the correct OEM (original equipment manufacturer) dimensions is absolutely critical—incorrect sizing can lead to suspension geometry issues, inconsistent handling, and premature wear on other suspension components. The AS91920 is the standard part number for 13 x 23mm shock bodies across multiple Team Associated RC car models, making it one of the most commonly required spares in the RC hobby.

Technical Performance
The Team Associated Shock Bodies AS91920 are engineered with precision manufacturing tolerances that ensure they perform identically to the factory-installed components on new Team Associated RC cars. At 13 x 23mm, these shock bodies represent the standard sizing across multiple generations of Team Associated vehicles, reflecting decades of suspension development and race-proven engineering. The dimensions are critical because shock body size directly affects compression rates, oil capacity, and overall damping characteristics—even small variations can lead to noticeable changes in handling feel and response. These genuine OEM shock bodies maintain the exact specifications needed for proper suspension function, ensuring that when you replace worn or damaged shock bodies, your RC model returns to factory performance standards without any setup adjustments. For competitive racers running Team Associated RC cars in UK clubs and national championships, using genuine shock bodies with correct dimensions is essential for maintaining competitive consistency across multiple vehicles or across multiple racing seasons. Frequently Asked Questions
- What models are these Team Associated shock bodies compatible with? — The AS91920 shock bodies in 13 x 23mm sizing are compatible with the B6.4D, B6.4, B74.2D, B74.2, B7, B7D, B84, and B84 Classic platforms. Always check your specific model's manual or setup sheet to confirm the correct shock body size and quantity required for your application, as different Team Associated models may use different sized shock bodies.
- Why should I use genuine Team Associated shock bodies instead of aftermarket alternatives? — Genuine OEM shock bodies are manufactured to exact factory specifications and tolerances, ensuring they perform identically to the original components and maintain your suspension geometry as the engineers designed it. Aftermarket alternatives may have dimensional variations that affect compression rates, damping characteristics, and overall handling feel, potentially compromising performance and stability in competitive racing or during intense bashing sessions.
- Are these shock bodies difficult to install on my RC car? — The AS91920 shock bodies are straightforward replacement components that integrate seamlessly into existing shock assemblies with no modifications required. Simply remove the worn shock bodies from your vehicle and install the new ones following your model's manual. The installation is quick and easy, making these ideal for maintenance between racing sessions or bashing sessions.
- How often should I replace my shock bodies? — Shock bodies are a normal wear item in RC cars, particularly in competitive racing where suspension is constantly being stressed. Regular bashing will also wear shock bodies over time due to heat generation from oil friction and the physical demands of suspension articulation. If you notice reduced dampening consistency, oil leakage, or visible wear, it's time to replace them with genuine Team Associated parts to restore suspension performance.
- Do I need any other parts to complete the repair? — When replacing shock bodies, you may also want to refresh your shock oil and seals at the same time for optimal performance. Refer to your model's manual to determine the correct shock oil weight and quantity required for your specific vehicle setup.
- Is this suitable for beginners? — While shock body replacement is a relatively straightforward maintenance task, it requires basic mechanical knowledge and proper tools. Beginners should consult their vehicle manual for detailed installation instructions or contact our expert team for guidance, and we're happy to provide advice on proper shock maintenance and setup.
