Technical Performance
The Associated B6.3 FT Side Rails Carbon represent a significant step forward in chassis component engineering for 1/10-scale competitive RC buggy racing. The injection-moulded construction with rigid carbon fibre impregnation creates a component that offers exceptional strength characteristics whilst minimising rotational mass and unsprung weight—both critical factors in high-performance buggy setup. The lightweight construction contributes to improved weight distribution across the chassis, which translates to better traction characteristics, more responsive steering input, and improved overall handling balance during aggressive cornering. For racers competing with RC10B6.3 or RC10B6.3D platforms, these Factory Team rails represent an investment in precision performance that is backed by Team Associated's reputation for engineering excellence. The carbon fibre composite materials used in these components have been selected specifically for their ability to maintain rigidity under racing loads whilst contributing to the overall weight reduction goals that separate competitive setups from standard configurations. Every detail has been considered—from the exact carbon fibre impregnation density to the injection-moulding process itself—to deliver components that work seamlessly with your existing Associated chassis and upgrade ecosystem.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Will these carbon side rails fit my RC10B6.3 buggy? — Yes, these Factory Team side rails are designed specifically to fit the RC10B6.3 and RC10B6.3D. The injection-moulded construction ensures precision fitment that matches OEM specifications perfectly, allowing for a straightforward installation without any modification or adjustment.
- What is the difference between carbon composite and standard plastic side rails? — Carbon composite side rails offer superior strength-to-weight ratio compared to standard plastic components. The rigid carbon fibres impregnated into the injection-moulded material provide increased structural rigidity, which helps maintain chassis geometry under load and contributes to improved handling characteristics. The weight savings also improve overall vehicle dynamics, particularly acceleration and deceleration responsiveness.
- Are these parts suitable for beginners? — These are Factory Team option parts designed for competitive racers and experienced enthusiasts who are upgrading their existing vehicles. While they will work on a standard RC10B6.3, they are premium components intended for those seeking performance optimisation rather than essential parts for basic operation.
- How do these compare to other Factory Team option parts? — All Factory Team components share the same design philosophy: lightweight, rigid construction using advanced materials and precision manufacturing. These side rails are part of a comprehensive ecosystem of upgrade options that work together to elevate overall vehicle performance.
- Do I need any tools to install these rails? — Standard RC car tools and fasteners are required for installation. The precision-moulded design ensures perfect fitment, but you should have basic mechanical knowledge or refer to Associated's assembly documentation for your specific chassis platform.
- Will upgrading to carbon side rails make a noticeable difference to my racing? — Yes, upgrading to Factory Team carbon components contributes to measurable improvements in vehicle dynamics, handling responsiveness, and overall consistency. The weight savings and increased rigidity work together to create a more responsive platform that competitive racers will notice immediately.
