With a spring rate of 1.90 lb/in and a length of 61mm, these OEM replacement springs are designed to deliver consistent performance across a wide range of Team Associated RC vehicles. Whether you're a seasoned RC car UK competitor fine-tuning your setup or a weekend basher maintaining your model, these genuine Team Associated shock springs provide the reliability and precision engineering you expect from the brand. These springs are perfect for anyone who wants to adjust their rear suspension characteristics without requiring complex modifications or additional components.

Supplied under the official part number AS91838, these rear shock springs are manufactured to the exacting standards that Team Associated is renowned for throughout the RC hobby community. The white colour makes them easily identifiable, and the precise 61mm length ensures compatibility with the correct shock assemblies across multiple Team Associated platforms. If you're looking for quality RC spares in the UK, these genuine springs represent excellent value and deliver the performance tuning capability that serious RC drivers demand from their equipment.

These springs are compatible with a comprehensive range of Team Associated models, making them a versatile addition to any RC enthusiast's spares box. The 1.90 lb/in spring rate offers a balanced approach to suspension tuning, suitable for various driving conditions and surface types. For drivers who understand the importance of suspension geometry and want direct control over their vehicle's handling characteristics, these shock springs provide the tool needed to dial in the perfect setup for your specific driving style and track conditions.

Key Features

  • Genuine Team Associated Component — These springs are manufactured by Team Associated under part number AS91838, ensuring you receive an authentic OEM component that meets the brand's stringent quality standards and engineering specifications. Using genuine spares guarantees compatibility and performance consistency with your RC model.
  • 1.90 lb/in Spring Rate — The medium spring rate of 1.90 lb/in provides a balanced suspension feel suitable for most driving conditions, allowing you to fine-tune your vehicle's rear suspension response without requiring excessively stiff or soft springs that might compromise overall handling characteristics.
  • 61mm Length Specification — The precisely measured 61mm length ensures correct fitment into rear shock assemblies designed to accept this dimension, maintaining proper suspension geometry and preventing installation errors that could affect vehicle handling or cause component damage.
  • White Colour Finish — The white colour makes these springs easily distinguishable from other spring rates in your spares collection, reducing the risk of accidentally installing the wrong component and helping you quickly identify the correct springs during maintenance or setup changes.
  • Wide Vehicle Compatibility — These springs fit a comprehensive range of Team Associated models including the RC10B64D, RC10B64, RC10B6.1, RC10B6.1D, RC10T6.1, RC10SC6.1, RC10B74, RC10B6.2, RC10B6.3, and RB10 platforms, making them an excellent investment for multi-vehicle collections.
  • Easy Installation — Replacement shock springs are among the simplest maintenance items to install on any RC car, requiring only basic tools and minimal mechanical knowledge, making these springs suitable for both experienced builders and newer hobbyists learning suspension tuning fundamentals.
  • Cost-Effective Tuning Solution — Rather than purchasing expensive complete shock assemblies, swapping springs provides an affordable method to experiment with different suspension characteristics and optimise your vehicle's performance for specific tracks or driving styles.
  • Essential Spares Item — Shock springs wear over time and occasionally break during intensive use, making this a consumable component that every serious RC driver should keep on hand to minimise downtime and maintain consistent vehicle performance.

Technical Performance

Team Associated has engineered these rear shock springs using high-quality materials and precise manufacturing tolerances to ensure consistent spring rates that remain stable throughout their operational lifespan. The 1.90 lb/in rating represents a medium spring stiffness that balances responsiveness with comfort across varied terrain and driving styles. The 61mm length is specifically engineered to work within Team Associated's rear shock geometry, maintaining proper suspension travel, ride height, and anti-squat characteristics essential for competitive RC driving. The white colour finish not only aids in visual identification but also indicates this is a standard-rate spring suitable for general driving applications rather than specialised competition setups requiring softer or stiffer alternatives. These springs maintain their spring constant even after extended use, ensuring your vehicle's suspension tuning remains stable across multiple driving sessions. The precision engineering means that these springs compress and extend predictably, contributing to consistent lap times and predictable vehicle behaviour that competitive RC drivers value highly. Whether you're racing on tarmac, running on loose surfaces, or bashing through off-road terrain with an RC car in the UK, these springs provide the reliability and performance consistency required for serious hobbyists who understand that suspension tuning is fundamental to vehicle performance.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Which Team Associated RC models do these rear shock springs fit? — These springs are compatible with a wide range of Team Associated vehicles including the RC10B64D, RC10B64, RC10B6.1, RC10B6.1D, RC10T6.1, RC10SC6.1, RC10B74, RC10B6.2, RC10B6.3, and RB10 platforms. Always check your vehicle's manual to confirm the correct spring rate and length requirements before installation, as using incorrect springs could affect handling and performance.
  • What does the 1.90 lb/in spring rate mean? — The spring rate indicates how much force is required to compress the spring by one inch. A 1.90 lb/in rate means these are relatively soft springs that provide a comfortable ride and responsive suspension feel. Softer springs compress more easily, whilst stiffer springs compress less, so choosing the correct rate is crucial for achieving your desired handling characteristics.
  • Are these shock springs suitable for beginners? — Yes, these springs are an excellent introduction to suspension tuning for newer RC enthusiasts. The 1.90 lb/in rate is a balanced option suitable for general driving, and replacing shock springs is one of the simplest maintenance tasks you can perform on your RC car. This makes them ideal for learning how suspension adjustments affect vehicle behaviour.
  • How long do RC shock springs typically last? — High-quality springs like these can last for many driving sessions under normal use. However, springs are consumable components that gradually lose their stiffness over extended periods or intensive driving. You should inspect your springs regularly and replace them if they become discoloured, show visible damage, or if your vehicle's suspension feel becomes noticeably softer than expected.
  • What is the difference between soft and stiff shock springs? — Softer springs (lower lb/in rating) compress more easily, providing a more comfortable ride and better traction on rough terrain, but may allow excessive body roll and squat. Stiffer springs (higher lb/in rating) resist compression, keeping the chassis level during acceleration and cornering, but may make the ride feel harsh and reduce traction on bumpy surfaces. The 1.90 lb/in rate offers a balanced middle ground suitable for most driving conditions.
  • Can I mix different spring rates on my RC car? — Technically you could run different rates on each shock, but this is generally not recommended unless you have a specific reason such as tuning for a particular track layout. Mismatched spring rates can create unpredictable handling characteristics and make it difficult to diagnose performance issues. It's better to keep all springs at the same rate unless you're an experienced driver purposefully experimenting with setup tuning.
  • Do I need any special tools to replace these shock springs? — You'll need basic RC tools including a shock stand or vice to safely compress the springs whilst removing and installing them. Some drivers use pliers or a shock spring compressor tool. The actual replacement process is straightforward and requires only a few minutes once you've removed the shock from your vehicle.
  • Are these genuine Team Associated springs or aftermarket copies? — These springs are supplied under the official Team Associated part number AS91838 and are manufactured to OEM specifications. Buying genuine parts ensures you receive components engineered to work perfectly with your Team Associated RC vehicle and maintains the integrity of your setup.
